  • this is the most beautiful of all movie scenes-the stills of the camera are like works of van goughs portrait art

  • Sieg Heil!

  • "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" is a parody and was written by Julius Stein who was Jewish.

I assure you he would not have written a genuine Nazi song

  • History ftw

  • I have no idea what the song says, even though I speak English, because I have a habit of reading the captions.

  • @Flowtail Okej thanks for chairing bro'

  • si!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From IMDB "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" was written by John Kander and Fred Ebb in the style of a traditional German song, sung by the Nazi youth in the movie, to stir up patriotism for the "fatherland".

  • coolest part of the movie, in my opinion.

  • I take it this song was written because in 1970 or around that time, it would have been impossible to get clearance for genuine Nazi songs (any Nazi memorabilia is either strictly controlled by the German government or completely banned- and was by the East German government when the film was shot there). It would also have been fairly difficult to find any extras who would sing them in public, or indeed at all.The film made its point- it didn't need real Nazi anthems to make it more "true".

  • @anonUK Are you sure? - watch?v=BSoLN77fBn8&feature=related

  • This is the most frightening scene ever filmed.

  • why do people keep saying things were censored when they weren't?

  • chilling stuff

  • Thumbs up if the ohlone college history class brought you here.

  • Individually and in family groups, Germans are some of the most wonderful people in the world- what the heck is it with any large organisation that reduces the combined IQ to that of the dumbest member?

  • @althesmith Look up "pluralistic ignorance".

  • @EliTeXHeRo : Ah, yes. Something along the lines that the intelligence of any large group drops to the level of the square root of that of its dumbest member.

  • @althesmith Not exactly so ... it's how groups of people basically fail to stop bad things happening, where you'd think a group is actually more likely to do so. It's based on social proof, nobody sees anyone else speaking out, so nobody speaks out.

  • This song gives me chills no matter how many times I listen to it

  • @Falln4DarkAngel Me too, its hypnotic.........no wonder there where so many Party Members.

  • @Falln4DarkAngel DEAR ANGEL: so you get the chills e very time you hear this song from cabaret. Now you k now how people around the world feel when they hear shite like Rule, Britannica, Rule The Waves.

    HAPPY?

  • LOL@ the old Jew on 1:55 goes "Oh,fuck, not this shit again...."

  • @bukowski1950 That guy is not necessarily a Jew, he is actually more likely a socialist, hence the workers cap. With that said, the Jews were often associated with communism by Hitler and the Nazis.

  • the old chap's face says it all

  • still scary as fuck!

  • I agree with so much said here: the moment at 1:43 has always stayed in my mind as one of the scariest bits. The utter ferocity in the woman's face!

  • @nalvojo - but nazi meant national socialist!!! Why, then, did St. Adolph murder so many working class people? Was it because they were expendable? Illliterate?Ignorant?

    You tell ME.

  • @squirell1952

you know, i'm a simple person. I didn't study politics or history, i'm just interestet in our german past. Those people you was talking about, i GUESS (!) belonged to the other side - they were then kommunists or activ christians or, in the worst case, jews. A good movie is "Sophie SCHOLL". She was a member of the resistance group "Weisse Rose". I have the DVD in english here. Quite difficult for me to watch & listen :-)

  • @squirell1952 initially the national socialist was a worker movement, hitler gets the suport of the aristocratic class thanks to herman goëring.

  • Who is the actor who sang the song? Very beautiful, but what a terrible burden to carry in his life later on, since fascists have taken it literally.

  • @YbYBwRbY Fascists havn't ruined this song for me; I'm sure the actor, wherever he is now, unless he is some kind of activist, isn't bothered in the least bit by it either! haha

  • The version I saw (censored TV print), at 2:47-2:55 is cut; instead, it cuts to a shot of the emcee, looking into the camera with an evil grin on his face. That, for some reason, was way creepier.

  • Белобрысый пидор.

  • lol puny Americans with their brains washed out. "oh noez the ominous future echoes in the song"

  • Squirrel get back up that fucking tree, you fuckwit. If brains were dynamite, you'd still fail to blow your hat off.

  • echoes, my thoughts exactly.

  • It's that young girl at 2:36 and the horrible way her upper lip curves in such an aggressive, hate-filled way thats make me cringe more than anything else

  • Say what you will, but you must admit this anthem is catchy.

  • deneing holocaust is the most pathethic statement ever !! shame on you !!!

  • 2:45... old communist gets PWNED!!! :P

  • Just returned from Munich where I went to a beer garden. Kept expecting someone to stand up and start singing this melodious song.

  • HITLER DID HIS BEST TO WIPE OUT MINORITIES. NOT JUST SIX MILLION JEWS. LOOK AT THE TWENTY MILLION RUSSIANS HE MURDERED. BUT YOU DON'T HEAR MOSCOW HARPING ON AND ON AND ON ABOUT IT, DO YOU? AND, ANYWAY, IF THE ENGLISH CAN SING THAT STUPID RULE BRITANNNIA, WHY CAN THE REST OF SING TOMORROW BELONGS TO ME? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ENGLISH OPPRESSION AND NAZI OPPRESSION? GO ON, TELL ME. IF ENGLAND WAS SO GREAT, WHY DID AMERICA NOT REMAIN A COLONY? SPECIAL RELATIONS, MY ARSE. FUCK OFF.

  • @squirell1952 lot of us in the uk are singing this dip stick as for the special relationship what you won with out the brits you got you arse fucked in nam oppp s sorry lol

  • @cypruskev - eNGLAND DID NOT WIN THE SECOND WORLD WAR.

    NEITHER DID U.S.A.

IT WAS THE ALLLIES - REPEAT: ALLIES - WHO WON W.W.2.

    did you not know that?

England had to get Russia to help her take on the naziz. And the SIX celtic states.

what were the scots doing while england was winning the war? englalnd won nothing.

  • @squirell1952 very sorry your right England got the Germans to invade Russia so the Russians would fight with the ALLIES hahahahahahahahaha

  • @squirell1952 Yeah, well Stalin murdered 40 million mostly Christians asshole.

Why don't you learn the truth?Hitler did not want to fight the English,he considered them brothers, but Churchill insisted on it. The English have always been some of the the biggest butchers in the world. You were the ones who started bombing civilians first, not the Germans. Also,Concentration camps were your idea,First. The pot calling the kettle black.

  • @squirell1952 Trousers

  • When you say the word fatherland, the blood will appear soon.

Cuando se pronuncia la palabra patria, la sangre aperecerá pronto

  • Why do I feel repulsed and terrified when I see this.

"the knowledge of what is to come".

  • AND THE BANKERS DO WHAT THEY ALWAYS DO.... ENJOY the SHOW!!! HUGE reason for OUR Revolution was because of the Bank of England vs OUR MONEY! AMERICAN! The FED is ILLEGAL & Bleeding U.S. DRY..BLOODY VAMPIRES!!! READ HISTORY or RE LIVE it!

  • Only the most deluded, guilt ridden white people can say this genuinely scares or upsets them.

  • @skewbuh - not exactly certain where u're coming from, but the "white people" comment sounds racist to me. It's frightening becos it shows how the innocent and pure can become perverted to something twisted and hateful in 3:31. It's a brilliant comment.

  • @skewbuh stupid

  • @skewbuh Sounds like the people who were stupid enough to vote for Obama.

  • @skewbuh

I agree, but one must acknowledge that this is a wonderful propaganda piece. In some respects it evokes Leni's brilliant film works for Hitler, just with a reverse orientation. This piece is actually an illustration of the American apologetic version of WWII. A wordsmith "hypnotizes" people into following his vision into war. The people are then forgiven for the "madman's spell."

  • Maybe just Maybe, the most powerful song, ever written. and sung

  • The children are the scariest.

  • Beautiful song distorted by vermin

  • Sends a shiver down my spine.

  • Chilling at a time of the Oslo massacre.

  • This scene was never censored in the UK as far as I am aware - can recall seeing this film on TV with this bit still in during the late 1970s.

  • I love how this song is "jewish" its so ironic!

  • @Wailot6 and the movie is "jewish", but the scene is really excellent! good image of nazis! ooooo i love this!!!

  • A lovely song in praise of essentially anti-human values and hatred that ended the lives of 14,000,000 innocent people in the horror of the Final Solution.

  • @davidocall maybe. although assuming this is 1938 or so...it was only 20-25 years since WW1, so he would have been mid-40s or older already.

  • @generation1313 And therefor if not an officer, he would have almost certainly lost one or more sons, brothers or similar, maybe even his home.

  • this movie was so excellent, and I think this is one of the key scenes that shows how being complacent and disconnected from the world around you can lead to that world going to crap beneath your nose

  • I love YouTube, but crikey, it exposes you to a hell of a lot of crazies! i just hope they don't live in my neck of the woods! I suspect 'research' was carried out and 'facts' were obtained via the reliable and never-wrong internet.

  • @maddiek1980 This is a clip from the film "Cabaret" by Bob Fosse. Not a YouTuber's creation.

  • @Ridiciliculous I know. I was referring to the comments from all of the scary anti-semites. I now realise I wasn't terribly clear. I grew up in a fascist country, so the song gives me the chills, but the comments freeze my blood.

  • @maddiek1980 Hell, I grew up in Canada and the comments make me ill.

  • This scene reminds me of the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, etc.

  • @jckfmsincty

Somewhere around on Youtube there's a countrified version of this song that REALLY reminds me of the Tea Party, etc.

  • @Bloodbirdy the TRUTH can be unpalatable. But it the truth none the same.

  • @catherineet for christ's sake wake up. There was NO holocaust you have been completely brainwashed. I would suggest you do some serious research on this matter and you will be completely surprised as I was when I discovered that only around 350,000 jews died in the camps and not ONE of them by gassing.

  • @DRMRadioLive Bull

  • @DRMRadioLive No Holocaust? Are you completely fucking insane? There is an almost infinite amount of documentation that proves that there was, not to mention survivors of Auschwitz who witnessed the atrocities committed by the Nazis.

    Back up your statements.

  • @DRMRadioLive Maybe you can tell us where the other 5,650,000 Jews went. I'm sure their relatives would be interested to find where they disappeared to. Somewhere warm presumably as they left their clothing behind in the camps.

  • Its funny that you refer to these things as conspiracy theories when you haven't even researched them. I mean the point about Hitlers attempts to prevent war through people like rudolph hess are well known facts to people who want to research the war a little more than just the discovery channel lol. Instead of throwing about name calling and words like conspiracy why don't you come back with an educated answer on why I'm wrong?

  • @Shazza921 Well, you're wrong on using Hess to try and stop the war. The war had been on for a couple of years when Hess flew to Britain. And it wasn't on Hitler's behalf. He was unaware of it and gave orders for Hess to be shot if he ever came into their hands again.

I'd love to see what you call research as you come up with a load of absolute ill-informed garbage.

  • @ronwhycherly When Hess flew to Britain is incidental. the point is is that it WAS an attempt for peace between Britain and Germany, even if you bothered your arse to look on wiki which is the most biased encyclopedia in the world, even they confirm it was an attempt at peace, furthermore it is also confirmed by the British governmental records... but I suppose they are wrong too? maybe he was just popping over for some haggis.

  • Oh dear, shazza, you aren't the brightest are you? You said Hitler used Hess to try and PREVENT the war. To prevent is to stop something happening. Hess flew to Britain after the war had been going for over 2 years so can't have had anything to do with preventing war, so the point of when he did it is far from incidental. Not to mention the fact that Hess did it without Hitler's knowledge so it wasn't an attempt to stop (note stop not prevent as it was now happening)

    the war by Hitler

  • @ronwhycherly Prevent war, prevent further war whichever you want if you wish to split hairs, the point is that it was an attempt to stop anymore loss of life which is totally contrary to the stories we are now spun about these evil nazis and hitler who was only hell bent on murder which is what today's authority figures would have us believe. The fact that it was Britain that declared war on Germany speaks for its self.

  • Oliver Twist at 2.11

  • I totally agree with the old man at 2:43

  • "It can't happen here." ROTFLMGDFAO!

  • This is such a disconcerting scene, hearing what it such a beautiful and patriotic song but we know what it means. And everyone starts singing along. It's probably the most poetic - and there for scariest - piece of foreshadowing in film today.

  • I absolutely love this song and use for my own self motivation. There is nothing that is actually racist in the lyrics, so I think I have the right to listen to a song with my own interpretation of the song. I use to build my own confidence because I suffer from low self-esteem

  • Stillone of the most frightening scenes in movie history. No monsters, no special effects, no car crashes, no serial killers, no asteroids. Just a simple song and brilliant direction - and the knowledge of what is to come.

  • @PeterFormaini The real terror is that you still see people behaving the same way, and the realization that the human race may be doomed to repeat history.

  • Remember the millions who were sacrificed in both of the world wars in order to secure a homeland for the jew.. the biggest act of genocide in history. 14!

  • @Shazza921 you are fucking crazy

  • Comment removed

  • @Shazza921 That wasn't the point of the war, just one of the consequences.

  • @w9j15g so I suppose facts like Winston Churchill having his gambling debts paid by a zionist jew long before the war ever kicked off was a favor from the goodness of the hearts and not a favor in which they expected something in return? like persuading the country to go to war and secure a homeland for them.

  • @Shazza921 It sounds like you need to read a history book instead of bizarre conspiracy theory tripe. Hitler started the war, not Churchill. Hitler attacked England. Hitler put Jews in work camps before the war, then started the holocaust a few years into the war. The Jewish homeland was not established in Germany, but in Palestine three years after the war ended. Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia and Poland before attacking England, Russia and declaring war on the USA.

  • @w9j15g I've read countless history books pal and not just the ones that are approved and promoted by the zionist west, thats why I know more about the war than you lol. If you knew anything about the war you would know that Hitler didn't start it. The attack on Danzig poland which kicked off the war was simply Germany taking back land which they had stolen from them at the end of the first world war. Hitler tried tirelessly not to go to war with Britain. Research people like Rudolph Hess.

  • @Shazza921 You don't know anything. You are one of the believers in absurd conspiracy theories. In your case, it is to justify your noxious bigotry.

  • The old man, uncomfortable with the situation around him, has clearly seen this sort of thing before, and where it can lead.

  • @merops The old man is obviously of jewish descent

  • @TheVarjager11 That wasn't obvious to me, but on second look, I can see how you can reach that conclusion. I thought he was perhaps a symbol of wisdom and world weariness. The Jews were especially victimized by the Nazis, but there were tens of millions more victims.

  • anyone who dosn't like nazis is fucking stupid.

  • @BowToMySkill Grow a brain, dick head

  • @BowToMySkill sick fuck

  • Beautiful song. Scary meaning. And it's really scary when I go to the Germany nation anthem and I see a bunch of fucking white power 14/88 shit. That shit scares the fuck out of me.

  • Comment removed

  • the nazis only had anger management issues

  • The point of the scene is to NEVER trust overt sentimentality, or to take a hard look at ANY presentation of "nationalism."

    A good film.

  • Good song to listen to when the White Race is Ethnically Cleansed from Europe!

  • Think the world is yours mongrels? In a raceless world, those who still possess race ARE diversity, no matter which one. Have fun feeding, fattening and fornicating yourselves into a downbred mush. A polluted tommorow in which humans themselves are the pollution is your tommorow. But the other "tommorow" is all MINE.

  • This is National Socialism, indeed!

    Dem Fuehrer heil!

  • @horsebackarchers

This song was wrriten by two Jews " John Kander and Fred Ebb

  • @Tomislavv2

    Hi dear Tomislaw2!

Jews are the best platform to promote National Socialism! Without HAGANA , without MOSSAD who can understands what, for example, terrorism does mean?

    Best regards!

  • Blame on them damn Jews!

Am I one of you idiot Nazi lovers now?

Has the apparent 'Jewish' media brainwashed me to make this comment too?

  • i miss nazi germany...

  • A very glourious hope we need just now....after sixty years of Israel Millenaire......

  • what a beautiful song, with so many dark shades of foreboding

  • What country was this scene censored in?

  • How many Hollywood movies do the jews have to make to convince us that Hitler and Germany was evil ?

  • @theseventhprotocol I love that kind of riddles. Let me guess: Two. One movie to show us how to screw in a bubble, and another one to show us that we'll never learn.

  • @theseventhprotocol it's not convincing us that they were evil, it's reminding us to give a damn that's the hard part

  • @theseventhprotocol Thousands ! But try to make one pro National Socialist movie. I guarantee you won't get very far.

  • I write the songs that make the whole world sing...

  • Watch the video "Tea Party Stuns Crowd" and tell me if this is not the same exact thing!!!!

  • @SechyoolarYOOESAY The video of all the school children singing Obama songs is a FAR more accurate comparison.

  • @BrianTheSaxon

Lol, oh that's scary to you? Kids learning about the President for the first time? Yeah, having Obama t-shirts is a little overboard, but come on now....you are comparing Obama to Hitler? I'll bet you everything I own that Obama doesn't invade Poland and try to start World War III.

The guy from "Tea Party Stuns Crowd" - he is old enough to be malicious and indignant and the fact that he incorporates religion = he could be one of the next crusaders...

  • @SechyoolarYOOESAY This wasn't kids learning about the President lol, give me a break. I never said I was comparing Obama to Hitler (though his cult of personality movement has much more in common with Hitler than the Tea Party does). Then you follow up your earlier ignorance with two more tangential statements about invading Poland and the Crusades. Two events that you obviously know nothing about. This makes you sound like another left-winger that is ignorant of the Tea Party. Try harder

  • @BrianTheSaxon

Yikes, enlighten me then Tea Partier. Did Hitler not invade Poland? Did Christian/Catholics not participate in the Crusades and kill millions? Tell me what the Tea Party's version of history is - I'm dying to hear it.

The TP didn't exist before a black man was elected. Bush spends trillions while giving tax cuts to the richest - where were the TP then? I know reason and logic aren't too keen with Republicans, but let's hear it anyways.

  • @SechyoolarYOOESAY Of course Hitler did and of course Christians tried to reconquer "The Holy Land". Look at how you fall back on typical left-wing argument tactics. A. change the argument, B. play the race card, C. make wildly inaccurate statements and show a gross ignorance for history and facts. A large chunk of the population were galvanized by TARP, bailouts, Obamacare and Obama's record deficits. But i suppose it is easier for you to just call Tea Partiers racist instead. Think harder

  • @BrianTheSaxon You forgot D: protect innocent people against hatred and vitriolic attacks.

  • Hail my White Brothers! Our Hope is not dead yet! Tomorrow belongs to US!

    Salute from White Hungary!

  • I read that Jill Halworth was a more authentic Sally Bowles than the very talented Liza Manelli. Sally was not supposed to be a professional singer.

  • This is just magnificent.

It almost makes me cry everytime I watch it.

    It's just wonderful.

It's fantastic that this has been produced by a jew. Wow, I almost can't believe it.

  • Tomorrow belongs to me .yeah Fuck jew

  • @magnolia1060

More like a Democrat. After all the KKK was founded as a covert terrorist branch of the Democratic party and there are still KKK Democrats serving around the country.

  • Pay close attention..this is the modern day tea party. They must be stopped. They didn't stop hitler and look what happened.

  • @magnolia1060 You are grossly ignorant. Since your statement lacks any factual basis in historical or current events, one has to assume you are joking. Please provide any evidence to support your ignorant opinions. I dare you to step to the plate on this......

  • I think the message here is a growing evil disguised as being beautiful, its easy to see here how many people at the time became so easily lead.

Notice the old man in the audiance he isnt impressed at all, could it be that his much wiser or is it a case of his too old to care about seeing a new future?

  • @Tomboycarol

    Old man is a Jew...

  • One of the best - and scariest - movie scenes ever

  • Well while all you sad people get sucked into phylosophical arguements over the internet, I'm just gonna listen to this song purely because of the fact that it's a good song :)

  • like Rolf in the Sound of music when Christopher Plummer blurted out 'you're not like them, you'll never be like tTHEM!' although he apparently was

  • A beautiful warning of how easily we can all be lead towards horrendous acts. Its such a good song, you find yourself singing along, even when you know whos singing it.

  • @ThatGypsyBoy The song itself like the symbol they used wernt bad... it was the intent behind them

  • @ThatGypsyBoy Yes, that is what is it is, isn't it. It's not just a song about growing up and taking your place in the world - apparantly it has sinster Nazi conotations behind it - maybe tomorrow belongs to me means that JEWS ARE GONNA BE KILLED IN DER MILLIONS!!!!!!!

You're so dramatic, and so brainwashed.

  • @Olamtir the song is from a musical about the rise of the Nazis, sung by a Nazi boy, to rally Nazis. It was written by Jewish playwrites with the intention of illustrating how people fell for the ideology that led to the holocaust. This isn't brainwashing, it's context of production. Research first.

  • @catherineet An ideology that led to the 'Holocaust'? What about Democracy that's led to multiple wars, genocides and untold suffering... oh no, not democracy, not good old, free, truth loving democracy. They didn't fall for it; they FOUND IT, among the chaos of Weimar.

You research; research humanity and true values.

  • @Olamtir An ideology doesn't make things happen. People take ideas and run with them. Take a look at Hitler's Mein Kampf- the antisemitism was there from the beginning, nobody had really done anything of a large magnitude until the Nazi party.

It's the people that act, not an ideology.

  • @ThatGypsyBoy My sentiments exactly mate ,well put and danke.

  • @ThatGypsyBoy

Are we being lead to horrendous acts today?

People back then didn't know, what if today is similair.

  • @jimmyxx3 ..,what if you forgot to feed the meter?

  • Beautiful song. Truly inspiring. Sadly, history is repeating these days in the USA.

  • @tommybass40

We all have the right to live as our own people, right? When you thri to destroy a people, you get this in return!

    stop the hate and seperate.

  • This will never cease to make me shudder in fear of what normal people can become.

  • @charlottesetsu

Normal people becoming free from zionism?

  • I think this single scene is the reason why Bob Fosse won an Oscar for Best Director, beating out Francis Coppola for the Godfather. It's one of the most chilling scenes in the history of film. An Aryan youth and martial melody combined with the audience's ominous knowledge of the Nazi carnage to come make it unforgettable. Leni Riefenstahl comes to mind.

  • @JohnWesleyDowney Well, the profile shots of the men singing along is obviously inspired by similar shots from The Triumph of the Will.

  • the British Empire was every bit as ghastly as the Third Reich

  • This is such a great scene and show how you can juxtapose ideas through music and images. Reading over the lyrics to the song, there is nothing hateful or racist in them. It's all a question of interpretation. "The world is mine" could just as easily be construed as "the world is my oyster". What works so well is horrible context in which the lyrics are sung, how the meaning can be twisted by what we see. A very, very powerful scene and it does illustrate very well how the Nazis twisted things.

  • @reillylives I agree, in doing a paper for this film I couldn't find a primary source but I heard that the song actually used to be a beautiful folk song but the lyrics suited the main purpose of what the nazi party wanted so they twisted it.

  • @Bloodbirdy , this song was purposely made for the film, by two jewish composers, John Kander and Fred Ebb. All information about "a traditional song", blablabla, are pure lies.

  • @aesoler - Nope, the song was written for the original Broadway musical in 1966 and it is exactly identical to the one in the movie - which is just elongated and repeated in its final chorus. The song was intended as a PARODY of German military marches and army chants. Of course it's a scary parody, but you are right in saying that it's not a traditional song.

  • @Bloodbirdy Well you heard wrong then. the song wasn't in the original stageplay but was written for the film by two Jews, one of who was gay to make it even more ironic. Seeing as it wasn't written until the 1970's no Nazis in the 1930's would have heard of it let alone twisted the lyrics.

  • Now no one seem to think of the man but: Napoleon.

Everyone thinks differently of him but essentially he and Hitler were the same in essence apart from their country and the type of warfare used. However we remember Hitler a lot more and a lot hasher than Napoleon although Napoleon achieved more and certainly killed more innocent people than Hitler did in retrospect to global population.

Germany had seen its standing crumble as had France. Napoleon offered a solution to the people as did Hitler
