I flew in that morning (18 DEC 2010) for the Paul McCartney concert... my Continental flight from Newark landed about 7 AM just as the snow started. Being an airline employee and traveling standby I went straight from the concert back to Heathrow - pretty much every flight on the 19th was cancelled. I took the train to Manchester, flew Aer Lingus to to Dublin then a bus to Belfast to get back to Newark in time to work on the 20th
That's a lot of jiffy pop popcorn bags.

My plane managed to leave. One of only 2 operating with Continental that day.

I've never seen anything like that - and only 3 inches of snow? Were all the Hotels in the area filled up?
