Learned about the manga in the old days thanks to the great toriyamaworld scanlation... Then anime followed and I was quickly hooked up in it. I really enjoyed it and wanted to learn go myself. Fav chara? Waya and later on I grew really fond of Hikaru - especially since Sai left. I remember crying few times when Hikaru was crying ^^'

@mikanvlovev22 It's on instant stream on Netflix. I randomly picked it. I marathon watched it until I was done. I became addicted to it after the first episode. I love this anime and am reading the manga right now. My favorite is Sai of course.

You can get the manga @ Borders, Waldenbooks and Barnes & Nobles! ^_^ The anime never debuted in English TV. I think it went Direct to DVD?

Actually, it was shown on Toonami on Cartoon Network. But it was a terrible time of the day when nobody could watch it, and wasn't very popular, so it was taken off. Toonami died, also.

I don't think their personalities or looks are similar at all... Hikaru is selfish at times, but honest and intelligent. Naruto is slow to catch on, stubborn, and naive. The only real similarity is the way they spoke in the beginning of their respective series; loudly.

Well, both shows promote friendship, sportmanship, growth, potential, and both have a spirit, it's just that yugioh is way tooo b.s. and hikaru no go is better in a way that the atmosphere created during the matches are very strong, very attractive to viewer while yugioh are mostly talking and insulting.
