It's a pretty good remake. The climax with Samara is a failure though. The original Japanese film did that bit (and most of it, IMO) much better.

@BreyerCrazy1011 story goes like this: samara was singing by the well, then anna morgan came and said everything would be alright. she was wrong. her mother put a garbage bag on her face and slipped her into the well. she was dead. while sinking to the bottom, her eyes open. she will get revenge. she made a tape and whoever watches it will get a phone call from her and samara says "you will die in 7 days." then 7 days later, the tv screen shows her walking up to you about to kill you.
