  • Why didn't U use Sonic Unleashed for Wii?

  • @BetoLupiFilho Here are the reasons.

    1. I don't own the Wii version.

    2. Sonic Colours seems more similar to the PS3 version.

    3. The HD version is better anyways.

  • Sonic Unleashed > Sonic Colors.

  • Fuck Colors, all Hail Unleashed and the werehog

  • I Play Sonic Unleashed And I Love It :D

    I Wish I Could Play Sonic Colors But I Don't Have A Wii :(

  • Owwwwwww you didnt let us hear Planet wisp

  • Overall: 3rd Unleashed (GOOD!), 2nd Colors (AWSOME!!) and 1st Generations (AMAZING!!!).

  • Unleashed (XBOX 360 & PS3) v.s. Colors (Wii) v.s. Generations (XBOX 360 & PS3) IMO!!!:

Story: Generations 1 point, Unleashed 2 point and Colors 3 points.

Sound: Unleashed 2 points, Generations and Colors tied 3 points each.

Visuals/Art Direction: Unleashed and Generations tied 2 points each and Colors 3 Points.

Gameplay: Unleashed 1 point, Colors 2 points and Generations 3 points.

Replayability: Colors 1 point, Unleashed 2 points and Generations points 3.

    Continue...

  • SONIC COLORS WIN FATALITY LOL!

  • It isn't fair to compare two types of games.

Unleashed is an absolute speed game, while Colors is an absolute platforming game.

  • SONIC UNLEASHED IS WAY FUDGING BETTER, I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE I'M WATCHING THIS!! well, actually this is a good vid, the only reason i don't like colors is because of everyones annoying voices. i DESPISE their new voices, theres no reason SEGA replaced those people

  • Fuck u!!! Sonic unleashed is way better u idiot!!

  • sonic unleashed is way better than colours

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 U no nothing of new York eat it bitch!

  • eh Story i'd give to unleashed becuz well you said it but the dialog in colors just made me feel like this was the cartoons but i did like the jokes. Graphics i'll give to colors. Sound i give to unleashed the music is even but i feel that roger just isn't a fitting voice as of now plus i rly loved sonic in game voice in unleashed and wish they make roger do it to. Gameplay i'd give to both all i didn't like was that colors was pretty much 2d and medals never bother me. So me SU 5 SC 3.

  • Sonic Unleashed is by far one of my favorite Sonic games ever. The storyline is good, the graphics, levels, and boss battles are epic, & the music, as always, KICKS ASS! It's a truly great game that half-revived the Sonic series after it's mid-2000s "fall from grace" (although Sonic '06 is still pretty good).

Sonic Colors is also a great game, with vibrant visuals, great dialogue, & of course epic music. It basically finishes what Sonic Unleashed started.

  • lets take a vote who thinks sonic games are better than mario games.Hmmmmm thats really hard i have to go with sonic, sorry somebody ask me that question i just wanted all the viewer who coment can talk about this

  • sonic colors and sonic unleashed are way better than the crappy sonic and the secret rings that game sucks but colors and unleashed are the best cant wait tell generations come out.Well why am i saying i cant wait their not making it for wii boo me :( damn it well actually there's really alot of sonic games for the wii so i dont blame them if they make it for a different consle

  • But yeah I don't know if it's me or not but Tom seems to not want to answer if he'll ever do a Battle review of the Adventure games or Heroes vs. 06.

  • REDO! you forgot to metion Super Sonic in Sonic Colors

  • Comment removed

  • Although I've already replied to a few comments already, I'm just curious as to why you decided to use the PS3 version of Unleashed rather than the Wii version. After all, Colors is a Wii game. Overall the Wii version (which I have) was the most successful. It has 4 control sets, no lag, the medals are automatically awarded to you, and the graphics are still great. The only downside is 2 areas got cut. The hub worlds also became point-and-click maps. Btw, I agree Colors is better

  • @JaysPlace20 The main reason as to why I didn't like the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed was there was too much Werehog levels and very few Sonic levels, the PS3 version did a much better job balancing out the Sonic/Werehog ratio. Also that there were extra levels in the PS3 version (I highly doubt it was because of storage space). Also there's much better platforming in the PS3 version, the Wii version is almost all racing for Sonic.

    But that's just my opinions.

  • @Shadsilvson11 By storage space I meant that the Wii is much more compact than the PS3. Plus it has the motion technology built in. As a trade off it's not as powerful, hence the lack of HD and the cutting of some levels. I might be in the minority by saying this, but I find the Werehog levels to be fun. Sonic becomes big and bulky which is why he's unable to move as quickly. The platforming worked fine for me. I agree that there should've been more Sonic stages, but they were quite satisfying

  • @Shadsilvson11 Do you ever plan on making a battle review of the Adventure games or Heroes vs. 06?

  • @pkstarstorm1up That one pretty much speaks for it self really :/

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 06 would beat Heroes.

  • @pkstarstorm1up Imo, Heroes was an amazing game, one of my favourites. 06 was okay since I knew how to work around stuff, but Heroes has alot more action, speed and fun GREAT working Team mechanics. 06 felt like they were gonna add that feature, but it never happened. The game was unfinished, and you really can tell, but fun nonetheless :D

  • To me Heroes is one of the weakest 3D Sonic games. What I don't like about it is that there is hardly any platforming in the game, all of the characters are complete clones of each other, you play every level with every character in every story and it's not like in 06 where each character explores an area another character can't, it's exactly the same area. the story was very weak, the pinball levels were pure annoyance, the game introduced the health system which in this game is very annoying

  • @pkstarstorm1up Well considering that 06 shared the same heath feature, it can really be said the same for that one either. Both 06 and Heroes are platform heavy games, if you take your time to actually notice it. I mean, if you speed through levels, you won't see it. You go for more points that speed you see it. I'll admit the level placement for each team is a little strange, but Each team's character has an own special move. Sonic can Light Speed Attack, Shadow can freeze time, Knux can...

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 Yes but in 06 the health was nowhere near as difficult to deplete as it is in Heroes, plus Heroes doesn't have enough platforming. It is 75% Speed and 25% platforming which it should be 50 50 for each. Yes but each special move damages the enemy the same amount and it's really just a visual differenece,

  • @pkstarstorm1up Really...? 3 homing attcaks versus 5? The homing attacking in 06 was accurate, but was annoying to do. It's trying to focus more on the Team aspect, where you and your partners use your power's together to gain more points.

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 You can use the Bounce Attack to beat them very quickly. Well the Team Aspect wasn't really that great of an idea in the first place really. I like having a character picked and then playing as that character as long as I'm in that character's story. Adventure 2 made a mistake with the Hero Dark story thing since the only fun characters were Sonic and Shadow.

  • @pkstarstorm1up True. I don't really care for SA2. I was talking about the story, rather. In SA1, the other character's were fun to play as, minus Big. But in 06 they were just a burden. They were slow, undeveloped, had clunky controls and not that fun to play as imo.

  • @pkstarstorm1up ....use special martial arts moves that others can't, Amy has her Hammer, Cream can use Cheese to attack enimies, Big can belly flop, Espio can turn invisible, Charmy can use his tail to attack and sting flowers and Espio can ALSO throw shurikens. So their are special moves and actions for each chaaracter. The story is very much like the Classic's which is good. Super Dark stories never really worked for me in Sonic games. SA1 and SA2 being the exception. Plus, if you upgrade...

  • I don't like that. The 3D games are supposed to have dark and deep and engaging plots. 06 has by far got the best storyline because it has two tragic characters with emotional backstories that really make for great storytelling (Elise and Silver),. Sonic Heroes just doesn't really appeal to me that much. Sonic Colors while nearly perfect in gameplay is severely lacking in the story department. Plus while most of the jokes are funny they don't fit and don't belong in a Sonic game imo

  • @pkstarstorm1up 06 story was shuned by a lot of people, because it didn't feel like a Sonic game. SA1 and SA2 had the Sonic style appeal to it, while still keeping it realistic and enjoyable. Colours story was creative and a well thought out idea, but didn't make it seem as though it was supposed to be a movie rather a game. I didn't mind the jokes, it reminded me of watching AoSTH. The gameplay of the newer games has been a sucess, while games that stuck with SA1 style, didn't really.

  • Yeah for no reason. The only reason 06 is hated as much as it is is because people believe the biased reviewers and don't try the game out for themsleves. AOSTH sucks in my opinion. It was creative but that kind of story doesn't belong in a 3D Sonic game. The only game that stuck with the SA1 style was 06 and it is unfairly hated. Yes the fans have a right to be dissapointed with how it turned out but there are nowhere near the amount of problems that people say there are.

  • This new style of gameplay where you can't explore open lands and are stuck in a set path is not a good thing despite them being praised. Colors did much better than Unleashed in terms of Gameplay because Unleashed doesn't have any platforming in the Daytime Stages. The games need to have momentum based speed platforming in the 3D games like it was in the Adventure games and what it was going to be if 06 had enough time to be finished.

Not all characters need to be fast you know.

  • Tails plays better in 06 than in other games because his flying can no longer be used to bypass the entire level (Adventure) he's not in a Mech (Adventure 2) and he's not in a team where his flying glitches out alot (Heroes) plus his Dummy Rings are more powerful than his other attacks, Amy is equal in 06 as in Adventure because she can Double Jump and turn Invisible (which is awesome), Knuckles is poor in 06, Rouge is best in 06 despite the wall glitch because her bomb attacks are powerful and

  • are befitting of a Secret Agent, Shadow isn't as good in 06 as he is in his own game but he's better than he is in Adventure 2 because he's no longer a clone of Sonic, Omega (despite being broken) is better in 06 than in Heroes because he's not a replica anymore, Silver despite being slow is one of the best Sonic characters with the coolest powers out of all of the characters and is very fun his powers are great for platforming, since 06 is Blaze's first (and only) playable appearence in a 3D

  • game plays very well and is very fun to play as. I don't see how they are clunky or boring. Speed isn't what Sonic is about. Sonic is about Platforming with speed mixed in. The reason 06 is better then SA2 is because it has more fun playable characters and they aren't duplicates, it's better than Heroes because it has a better story, more platforming, and more fun characters that aren't replicated, it's better than Unleashed because Unleashed has no platforming as Sonic and because you can't

  • explore the levels and it doesn't have multiple paths, I don't have to say why it's better than Shadow, Secret Rings, and Black Knight, and it's better than Colors because it has a multiple variety of playable characters, and much more epic and emtionally engaging storyline, and despite Colors having better Sonic Gameplay that doesn't outdue a mulitple variety character gameplay that offers a great amount of replay value, and because it doesn't have an Adventure field.

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 But of course this is all just my opinion and I don't have any problem with you thinking otherwise as long as you don't have any problems with me feeling the way I do.

  • @pkstarstorm1up I see how you view the games, and I commend you for stating why you really find 06 better than SA2. Tbh, SA2 has a great story, but the gameplay is boring and dull imo. I agree. Now adays I find 06 more fun to play than SA2, even though it has ALOT of flaws. But as far as the Modern gameplay goes, there is a great amount of 3D platforming and exploration incorperated into thrilling speedy gameplay in Generations. I wish the Adventure fields from SA1 & Unleashed would return also.

  • Thank you. I really wish more fans were like you. Yes I do love SA2's story, it's my second favorite story in the games. Well Sonic and Shadow's levels aren't really boring or dull but the others are. Tails and Eggman's levels are just to simple and all you have to do is move around and hold the B button. Knuckles and Rouge's levels ugh. While they controlled well and weren't glitchy they were just too big. Plus the radar is messed up because even if an Emerald is right in front of you

  • even if the Emerald is right in front of you if it isn't the first Emerald on the Radar then it won't pick it up and you'll probably miss it. How were 06's Adventure Fields boring? Maybe the Forest's but at least it's better than the Mystic Ruins Adventure field. I get lost so easily in there.

  • @pkstarstorm1up The New City and the NPC's. I mean, I know it's a new city, but seriously NOTHING goes on there! Needs more cars and a better supply of NPCs. Also, the NPC were pretty bland. I wish they could be a mixture of having an anime apeal to them, like Adventure, but have more expressions, be in HD and interesting like Unleashed. The Town missions also annoyed me, but those are optional. A gold edtion of 06, with some things changed would be fantastic.

  • You do know that Sonic 06 is the first Sonic Game in HD? So they can't really remake it in HD since it already is in HD. If you mean make the Graphics like they are in Generations then yes awesome. But if they do that I hope that they keep Sonic model the same just with better graphics. I don't want them making him shorter. Yes a remake would be much appriciated. They could add back in everything that was planned, they could fix the framerate issues, the glitches, and the loading times.

  • @pkstarstorm1up Yeah, that pissed me off. In SA1, it didn't matter if you picked anything up first, they would detect the emeralds right then and there. SA2 just made the process more tedious.

Still, they weren't that bad. Better than Tail's retarded "Lock on" mechs.

  • @pkstarstorm1up The 06 Adventure Field was kinda boring though, I wish they would return. I loved Station Square, and I loved Spagonia. Epic times had by all :) But I truely do respect your opinion, and I hope you weren't offended. But I still think Heroes is a better. Still 06 was an okay game, but would have been better if it had been finished.

  • @pkstarstorm1up ...your character, the heath system doesn't really matter......but the pinball levels were indeed a pain. But have awesome music, graphics and creativity.

  • The Teamwork while creative got very monotonous very fast, and the voice acting was just terrible for Tails, Amy, Vector, Big, and Charmy. in my opinion all of the 3D Sonic games should be either a Sonic Adventure game, or a Sonic Adventure styled game like 06 was.

  • @Shadsilvson11 How long have you been a sonic fan

  • @TeamTripleStar He became a fan in 2005 because he loves Shadow the Hedgehog.

  • @Shadsilvson11 why did you say satsr was crap it was a good game at first it was slow but yeah u get farther and 06 had best story just horrible gameplay

  • 360/ps3 unleashed is better imo. Wii upped their graphics and gameplay for Colors, but Sonic was just so fun and fast in Unleashed its crazy. Also the werehog's fighting gameplay added a very nice ring to the game. I have both, and I just like unleashed better, nothing against colors.

  • you said you are doing the PS3 but you gave footage from the Xbox360

  • @duke86fan PS3, 360 essentially they are the same game.

  • sonic colors and unleashed are both great games, and i have both, and i like the both equally. just sharing my opinion

  • Colours is way better than Unleashed, but Unleashed for PS3 is fun. The Wii version of Unleashed felt like a butchered version.

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 Are you saying that because 2 areas got cut? That was due to storage space. Anyway, the Wii version was the most successful. It has 4 different control sets, no lag, and the medals are automatically awarded to you. Plus the graphics still look great. Regardless, yes, I believe Colors is still the better game. Imho they're the 2 best 3D games in the series

  • @JaysPlace20 No. The Wii versions lack of development, overload of Werehog levels, dated graphics, and clunky controls really recked the experince for me. While collecting the medals was a pain sometimes, it was pretty fun in the later acts. It made it feel more like an adventure game, but getting them at the end while spaming the hell out of the Y button to get an S rank, just really didn't work. While I think the Wii versions was okay, it had some major flaws.

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 As far as I know the Wii version didn't have anymore Werehog levels than the others. By Wii standards the graphics still look very nice (certainly better than anything the GameCube was capable of). Granted Colors really pushed the Wii to its limits. If you don't like playing it with the motion controls you can use the GC controller. The motion controls work fine for me though. Either way, I might try the PS3 version at some point, but for now I'm satisfied with the Wii one

  • @JaysPlace20 @SONICBOYREBORN234 Guys can we please end this argument and agree to disagree on this occasion?

  • @Shadsilvson11 Relax, we're just having a casual discussion to state our views on certain aspects of the different versions of the game. We have no problem respecting each others opinions

  • @JaysPlace20 The Wii version had TONS and TONS of Werehog levels compared to the PS3 and 360 version with one Sonic level with 2 missions. I'll admit they look okay, but not to impressive on Wii. And yes, I do use the GC controller. I'd say you should get Generations. But Unleashed PS3 is a good choice as well.

  • @SONICBOYREBORN234 Do you mean one Sonic level per continent, because I remember there being a lot more than that. Yes, there were more Werehog levels, but the thing is those levels don't move nearly as fast as the Sonic levels due to Sonic losing his speed. Either way, I respect your opinions and will agree to disagree. I'm absolutely getting Generations. I think it looks amazing. I downloaded that demo from the PS Store and it was just like the classics, only 2.5D and 100 times more gorgeous!

  • @JaysPlace20 Yes!!! Generations looks fantastic. The visuals, the level design, the music, the fun, everything looks amazing. Also I respect your opinion on the Wii version, but somethings kinda dragged it down for me. Still a great game. Generations will most likely actually be my favourite Sonic game, next to Sonic 3 and Knuckles :)

  • ok, what do i have to say:

First: Sonic unleashed was WAY better on the wii, you could use the nintendo gamecube controller, classic controller and or the wii motion remotes, nunchuk and wii mote, and no it does not lag i have the game myself and i gotta say its pretty awesome

Second: Sonic Colours seems pretty fun but it isnt better than sonic unleashed!

Third: Personaly i think all the Sonic games should only come out to the Wii Console because its the best for Sonic games with motion!

  • @Yepi69 I partially agree with you in the sense that I believe the Wii has definitely done the best job handling the more recent Sonic games, and I can easily understand why the Wii version of Unleashed was the most successful. I have that version and the controls work fine and, of course, there's no lag. Regardless, I still have to say that Colors is the better game: more varied stages, near perfect controls, great voice acting, simple story, and the color powers add a lot of replay value

  • Can somebody tell me why is everyone is saying colors is boring

  • @hamza840 Trust me, they're the minority

  • Comment removed

  • Eggmanland was pretty fun to me and I overall enjoyed this level. It took some training to get used to it though.

  • Wait, "Colleting Sun and Moon Medals" was a cheap and uninteresting way to extend the game, but "Collecting Red Rings" added exploration and made it interesting? They're exactly the same.

  • @sonnarkku Not entirely. In Sonic Colours you didn't need to collect all the red rings to complete the game, they were an optional extra to unlock cool stuff. In Sonic Unleashed you were forced to collect the sun and moon medals to complete the game and once you've beaten the game they have no other purpose.

Sonic Colours did it much better.

  • @Shadsilvson11 In the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, the Sun and Moon medals were like the red rings in Colours, and you earned them through ranks in the levels. So, in the Wii version, you weren't forced to get the Sun and Moon medals to beat the game. That's one thing the Wii version has better than the PS3 version, right?

  • @sonnarkku they´re not the same, if you collected all the red rings you unlocked super sonic in normal stages and they were optional, in sonic unleashed you HAVE to collect the sun and moon medals to complete the game and after that they were useless

  • i though the game was not the best game, the length was short and i did not like the new voice

  • I stopped watching when you said Sonic Colors is better than Unleashed in graphics.

Sonic Colors much like a lot of Wii games do lag(Sweet mountain act 2 using the drill wisp creates horrible lag worse than Unleashed when in Adabat act 1.

Unleashed is just downright better no matter how you look at it at the moment (because Generations is coming) Unleashed IS the best sonic game right now even though I like Colors too its not that fun compared to Unleashed.

  • I respect your decision and love this video. But do I think you were right and that Colors is better than Unleashed? HELL TO THE FREAKING NO! (vote up if you agree with me)

  • No offense but when i first got sonic unleashed it was fun but sonic colors was boring. In my opinion the graphics was good but the game was boring and they do the same boss all the time the bosses was not fun.does any one agree?

  • Comment removed

  • Ummm... my opinion is DEFENATLY SONIC UNLEASHED!! thumbs up if you agree!

  • 11:01 - 11:05 i hate that level!!

  • Both these games are amazing. I perfer Sonic Unleashed cuz you can use quick step and drift whenever you want, and sonic colors was too short. However, I did enjoy turning Super Sonic in Colors, and the two player mode is fun. But who agrees with me that nothing(at least, so far) beats Sonic Adventure 2(Battle included!)!

  • @sonic71x @Your last statement: I dont :I

  • @supermax110 :I underatandable

  • Comment removed

  • Sonic Colors > Sonic Unleashed.. that's the truth pal, great video

  • umm..the sonic unleashed has Wii versions

  • @PizzaLuvinChikk127 Yeah but the Wii version I consider a butchered port of the PS3 version, so to give it more of a chance of competing with Colours I chose the PS3 version as it's better.

  • @Shadsilvson11 Sonic Colors Wii dosent suck!

  • @ManicHedgehog91 You mean to say Sonic Unleashed Wii? Sorry but that's just how I feel about the game.

  • I'm sorry, but your logic behind choosing Colors for these category is terrible. Eggmanland, the last level in the game, "sucks" because it's actually challenging? What about the Wisp music and underwater muffling that interrupts the Colors soundtrack? Colors' graphics win even though Unleashed's are easier on the eyes and use a rendering engine that's ten times more powerful? I'm sorry, but Unleashed wins hands down.

  • @BaconStein Sure Sonic Unleashed had some challenging levels, but I hate Eggmanland for being cheap in it's level design and being WAY too long. It's not because the level's challenging but because the challenge is fairly unbalanced that I hate it.

As for the wisp music I liked some of it (especially the Hover wisp). Besides they're way better than the Werehog combat theme and they don't even last that long.

I'm sticking with my choice. Unleashed is still a great game though.

  • @BaconStein u no wat rlly annoys me? is dat ppl think sonic unleashed is better cuz of da grapichs, but sonic colors ..... heh dat shows da real sonic, dats da real game, sonic colors might have no grapichs but boy, it shows adventure. all othe sonic games need to step up their a game. Talkin bout some saving .princess and black night and stupid werehogs........ sonic is wild, and free-willed, NOT SOME NIGHT!!!! DEFINTLEY SONIC COLORS!!!!!

  • @TheSakurachan01 That's the thing, Sonic Colors is anything but "wild and free-willed". The blocky level design feels too formulaic and monotonous for a Sonic game, let alone one that's set in a theme park in space. Where are all the crazy twists and turns from the Unleashed day stages? Why can't I run around ferris wheels and down water slides? Where's the flow? Graphics are only a small fraction of what Unleashed has over Colors.

  • @BaconStein i must agree with eggmanland. i beat it with an A ranking at the 2nd try! that isnt so bad!

  • @BaconStein Amen.

  • the 2 games u showed us are not crappy at all

  • Great review. I agree with you almost 100% on everything. Very well thought out and put together. I'm glad someone said that the werehog stages weren't that bad. I enjoyed them as well. I wonder though, if Eggmanland was easier on the Wii version. I haven't beaten my PS3 unleashed yet, only the Wii version.

  • for eggman land you could do a levels from hell on eggman land like how filmnstuff dose for his games

  • You know, now I feel like I'm missing out A LOT by not playing many video games.

Sure, watching movies is fun, but I should try out more video games. Is there any Sonic game you recommend to me where I can play as Knuckles? He is my favorite Sonic character.

  • @BlazeTheMovieFan Well Sonic and Knuckles is an obvious recommendation. But if you prefer it in 3D I say go for the Sonic Adventure games for the Gamecube and Dreamcast.

  • @BlazeTheMovieFan Definitely get your hands on some kind of Sonic Collection game (You can find one for gamecube/ps2/xbox very cheap, like Sonic Mega Collection) which will allow you to play as Knuckles in Sonic 2, and of course Sonic 3, when you combine Sonic and Knuckles with those games. Other than that, the Sonic Adventure games feature Knuckles specific levels. The Sonic Advance games will let you play as Knuckles, and there are 3 of those games. Hope that helped you!

  • Sonic Colors is way better. There is nothing in that game that overshadows the good Sonic gameplay. But Sonic Unleashed's day levels were faster.

  • Why do you think RCS is the best Sonic voice? Personally, I think Griffith is the best Sonic/Shadow voice actor. That voice, to me, is the way Sonic should sound (same goes for Shadow). RCS sounds too old for Sonic....

  • @grimchief Griffith was a decent Shadow, but he was a horrible Sonic.

    Sonic 06: "YEAHHHSSS!"

  • @10samm10 what about in Unleashed? Unleashed had the Best Sonic voice acting EVER!!!!

  • @grimchief You are right, when you change the voices to Japanese, it has the best voice acting. Change it to English and you are just asking to get sick and lose your lunch.

  • @10samm10 lol not really, I think the Japanese voices suck balls. Griffith destroy's every Sonic voice actor before and after him with his awesomeness at voicing Sonic!

  • @10samm10 Good God. I can't believe after all this time people are STILL bitching about the 4Kids voice actors. Cut Griffith some slack. He tried really hard in Sonic Unleashed to improve and emote more. And besides how can any voice acting be bad enough to make you sick?

  • Sonics voice on unleashed voice is far superior to colours. Colours sounds like some wannabe rock artist

  • i think you shouldve compared the wii version of unleashed to colors instead. still, great video :D

  • Great job on this review! It's been a long time since I played Sonic Unleashed and I've only played level 1 in Sonic Colors so I don't have an opinion on which one is better.

  • Great battle review Tom. I think both games are awesome, but I think Colours was Sonic's best Wii outing out there (much better than Sonic Unleashed on the Wii) =D

  • Nice review dude!!!

Both games are great in their own merit. Ive played both verisons of Unleashed(Wii and PS3 version; PS3 is the superior version but the wii version isn't too bad) and own Sonic Colors. Sonic Unleashed set the standard of how a 3D sonic game should be. Colors was built upon that and expanded into creative heaven.

For me, Colors was the better game. It felt a tad more like a traditonal Sonic game to me. But Unleashed was still pretty kickass!

  • also, in terms since hyper go-on from the wisps is their life, Eggman is quite literly STEALING THEIR SOULS!!! O__o

  • Sweet review, and I still think Sonic colors is better because of your reward for collecting all of the red rings, the comedic lines, the voice acting (though Unleashed was also pretty good), and the wisp powerups.

  • Awesome Battle Review. I really should get these games, I have Unleashed for PS2 and it was fun, but not as fun as Shadow the Hedgehog. I should get the PS3 version when I get a FUCKING PS3, and since I have a Wii, I can give the game a try.

  • A few pointers. Fuck the last stages of Unleashed. I cant beat them worth shit.

  • Teminal velocity is the best soundtrack in colorsif you ask me

I agree with all you say

Lemme say this tho.I love sonic colors but astriod coaster ( espcislly on the ds i think) is a living hell.or almost eggmanland 2.honestly.and the platforms annoy sometimes tho.

i think sonic colors is better

  • Another job well done, Shadsilvson11. =)

I haven't played the PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed, so i'll go with Sonic Colours. I have played a bit of the Wii version of Unleashed, but I gave up on it because the Werehog controls were clunky as hell, and I couldn't explore the continents. Oh, how I wish I had the PS3 version :(

BTW, being a long time fan of boss battles, I hope Sonic Generations will have longer, more varied and more challenging boss battles than Colours did.

  • Great Battle Review.

I feel Sonic Unleashed is an okay game (still underrated by most reviewers), simply because while it was a step up from Sonic 06 I don't often find myself playing it a lot. However Sonic Colours always brings me back to play some more with it's re-playability. Definitely the best recent 3d Sonic game, and hopefully Sonic Generations will be just as fun.

  • Sonic Colours is an alright game, nothing special. It feels more like a spin off title, rather than a main series title. It's 75% 2D and 25% 3D. The 'comedy' in the game is also horrible.

Sonic Unleashed on the other hand, feels like a main series title, it's 50% 2D and 50% 3D. There's no retarded script, either.

Sonic Unleashed > Sonic Colours IMO

  • I agree. Sonic Colours rocks!

  • i havn't played sonic colours but seeing this battle review im convinced on getting it

  • Great battle review! I've played Sonic Unleashed and, minus the Werehog, it is one of the best 3D Sonic games out there. I only played Sonic Colors once at a gameshop when it was released and I haven't played the full version yet, which is what I'll need to get round to doing soon.

  • I thought Sonic Colors sucked because there was no Super Sonic? Don't know where I got that from.

  • @realmwarss LOL, Nice Devster reference. XD

  • @realmwarss well didn't need super sonic nor the chaos emeralds just the wisps The POWER UPS APE AWESOME! XD

  • @realmwarss I know where you got it from... Devster >=3

  • @realmwarss Awesome Devster reference! =D

  • @realmwarss Awesome Devster reference! XD

  • @realmwarss You heard that? Well, just in case you aren't aware, you can be Super Sonic. Unlike all the other 3D games, the ONLY time you CAN'T be Super, is the final boss. You can be super during any stage once you collect all the emeralds and get 50 rings. Then you just activate it and BAM! You are Super Sonic, blasting through the stages. A first for the modern Sonic era.

  • @garvensman Yes I did, go check out my commentary entitled "Sonic Colors + No Supersonic = Badgame"

It's a commentary on Devster247 who made that claim, then afterwards when I made the commentary he admitted to having no knowledge of Sonic Colors when he made that video.

  • Awesome Battle Review!

I actually prefer Unleashed over Colours haha

  • @Sawtje2 That's cool. I respect your opinion.
