lol vikes got cheated so bad in the nfc championship... im still pissed haa... yes adrian had a couple of fuck ups but still.. i still cant believe it!!!!1
I miss Favre. He was a amazing quarterback, no matter what. He had such strong passion for the game. He made Minnesota great. I am a true Minnesota Vikings fan, but man did he make the Vikings a heck of a lot more fun to watch than now. Watching the games arent the same with out him.
@demonatwork1979 I am tempted to think Webb is better than Ponder. Not as a passer, but as a playmaker. Webb made things happen, kept plays alive, and made a lot out of nothing. If the Vikes had a better line to give Ponder time, then Ponder would probably look a lot better.
I am telling my age a little bit but I watched Brett Favre's career from the first snap he took replacing the Magic Man in GB to him being slammed to the frozen turf in Gopher Stadium ending his playing days. Being a life long Viking fan I hated him at first because I was a kid, but as I grew up watching how special, how tough, how energetic he was it made me realize just how special he was. The man was the best to ever play because of HOW he played the game. Football will miss you #4
brett favre was to me the all time greatest qb mayb not in accomplishments for the most superbowls but he has the most td's any qb has done and he was the greatest hero for the packers
I'm a sad fan right now. Watch "home" by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and this at the same time. I can't stop thinking about my Vikings leaving "home". No fan should loose their team. I'll die wearing purple.
Sorry Rodgers, you play great! But Favre is a great player. I'll take Favre over robot Rodgers anyday of the week, call me a Favre apologist , doesn't change the facts 4>12
That video just reminded me how much fun it was watching the '09 season. Even more so than '98. Favre was just a blessing to watch play and interact with the players. I loved when he was mic'd up and you could hear his game commentary. I wouldn't trade that NFC championship loss with Favre for anything - it's just too bad the Vikes couldn't finish off that magical season. I hope Favre continues to do great things in his retirement.
i will always remember standing there with purple all around me my dad in his vikings jersey, me in my vikings jersey and loads of us who all came together just faliing to the floor and cursing and hitting. go vikes!!
Like him or hate him, he won't care, in 5 years (STAY RETIRED DAMMIT xD) he will be in the Hall of Fame and you can't do jack but post hate on YouTube about the career that got him there
for all pack fans that hate brett for leaving he had to do 1 of 2 things retire or change teams he changed bccuse he wanted to play anyway the guy won a superbowl with you guys come on without him you would have 1 less ring and not as nearly as respected without him
if anybody remember that game vs the saints in the nfc championship they were taking cheap shots on farve. everytime he threw the ball they hit him after the play. the league reviewed the game and they even said they were taking cheap shots. after the game farve was bruised badly everywhere including his ankle.
Favre is a legend, no matter how he went out. I'll never forget this 09 season as long as I live. As far as I'm concerned, it ranks right up there with 98 for me.
@mindawbak are you kidding me ifhe stayed a packer he couldn't of had his best season and best game with us and his 500th TD would have been to fucking bradon jones not randy moss
No one but some of the more in-tune fans will realize how great Favre was until he's been gone for a decade or so.... he was the greatest QB of all time, no question, and the next one to beat will have to be pretty great to beat blocking... catching their own passes anyone? Like if you agree.
honestly what makes him so great is the pass against the 49ers.. most qbs past and present would never throw a pass, and then run down the feild and make a block. they would sit back like everyother money hungry player and watch the play unfold. but one reason why he is a legend is bc of this right here THE LOVE OF THE GAME!! go brett
After having dinner awhile back in our (Brett's and mine), and seeing him so happy kidding around with his family, it made me wonder if Brett just appreciates life more than alot of others. He was as excited joking with his Mom, Deanna, brother, cousins there as he ever has shown on the field. His personality is magnetic...

@purtty23 not now he isnt in the future yes but on paper bretts the best there was is and will be hes done so much over the past 10 years hes 44 still playing and to still take the vikings within range last season that takes skill
the interception at the end of regulation in the nfc championship game is still sickening to watch. the vikings outgained the saints by like 200 yards in the game. they were the better team. they just kept giving the saints chances.
Packer fans had no class what so ever when it cam to Favre joining the Vikings. You guys booed a man who dedicated 16 years of his life to the Packer organization and won you guys a Super Bowl. Even the damn Eagles fan gave a standing ovation to Donovan McNabb when he returned to the Eagles stadium and he was playing for there rivals. This is one of those moment where I was truly dissapointed with Packer fans. Oh and im a Vikings fan.
@vikingsman18 Easy for you to say. You obviously don't know the whole story from '05 on. Favre played one too many childish games, didn't do enough where and when it counted for him to be so demanding. When Ted Thompson had the gall to run his team his way, Favre wasn't happy. He didn't want to be a part of it if it wasn't going to be his way, so engineered his way to a bitter rival to "stick it" to us. We have every right to boo. And Favre burned his legacy no one took it from him.
this is sad to see favre leave the NFL for good now. I still wish he would come back to the Vikings for one more year, because watching him play for my Vikes was fun. Oh well, I guess all good things have to end eventually.

@IRATERAIDER i agree...everyone blamed that game on favre for that interception!!! bullshit AP fumbled how many times 5? lost 3 favre is my boi ill argue with anyone and i mean anymore about him
@Kenster9669 Yeah man, I still think about that all the time. If the Vikings had won that game, Brett would have had his second super bowl ring. No doubt. Then he wouldn't have come back in the fall and he would have had his peace.
I don't care what people say about Favre. The man was a football player. And that's the greatest compliment that you can give, he was a football player.
As a bronco fan. I put my hat down to him. We did not beat brett favre in the super bowl, we beat the team who made him look bad. As a viking. It made him a champ. So all u so called "die hard packers fans" u made a mistake on letting him go. Fuck yall cheese heads. Rodgers can suck on breeses dick. Favre fan 4 life
im so sick of haters! if this video does not make you appreciate what brett favre has done in the NFL your dumb... Brett farve is football he is greatness..he is and always be a LEGEND! brett favre you have all my respect! good luck with your future man
I've always been a Brett Farve mark (still am now). It really peeved me when Packer fans started hating this guy's guts. He did way too much for you to hate him. Seriously, I have nothing but love for #4/ =)
Brett Favre we love you for what you did for this team last year. This year was a recovery year for that loss in New Orleans. Next year we are going to make and win the Super Bowl. Brett you us 12-4, 8-0- at home. We love you!!! True Hall of Famer/Legend.
Now you should make one of his entire career! he has some amazing plays in 2010 when he came back with 2 frankles in his ankles and with tendinitis in his throwing elbow and with a fucked up shoulder that should all be included and his amazing comeback against the cardinals!! one of his ENTIRE career in the NFL would be great your awesome at making these montages!!!
Yeah I dont get why people call the win vs the niners flukey either, if he never did anything like that before I would understand why people say that. Probably just bitter niner fans. The first game he played with the Packers in 1992 inexperienced 22 year old Brett drove them 92 yards with 1:07 on the clock and threw the game winning touchdown pass in the final seconds. He did it so many times and he had a hail mary game winner in college to. Damn kids dont know these things, lol.
2009 Vikings...2 fumbles.... one critical interception...and about 5 missed unnecessary roughness calls from hard hits on favre....from beating the saints and winning the Superbowl.
@AbdulJabar8000 Manning only needs to play 6 more years, 5 if it goes to 18 game seasons. He hasn't been injured nearly as much, he plays in a dome, and his O-line has always been good. I'ts very likely that he can go for 5 or 6 more years easily.
in that championship game people always talk about the pics but they never talk about the beating he took and you could see in his eyes he was uterley distraught over the pic he threw
Fantastic, One of the best videos I've seen on here. Nobody plays like the silver fox and no matter what, we'll love him forever. I'm sure going to miss him when he leaves.
one hell of a video too bad they couldnt have got rid of childress sooner maybe the vikes woulda had a chance oh well! Favre youve been my favorite player since i grew up and you always will be my favorite! at least you gave this year a shot! at 41 years old cant believe your still out there! Favre 4 Life
Luv it at 4:56, he throws the pass then sprints/catches up to the play and throws a block on a linebacker, what QB would do that...much less a 40 yr old QB.. toughness ..no question, no wonder he's never missed a start. The remainder of this season remains to be seen. Too bad him and Childress were butting heads this year. No matter what happens the rest of this season, he's had an awesome 20 year career.
Great Video about arguably the greatest to ever play the game. i only wish he was younger so he could play with the Vikings longer. Even so we've been blessed to have him here in Minnesota for this short time no matter what anybody says about his ego, off the field antics or whatever. I got to watch Fran Tarkenton wear purple when I was a kid and now I've been able to watch Brett Favre play in the purple. He is the greatest
We se hereos in fantasy. Brett Farve is living legend, a present day hero. Johnnyboyfilms, awesome job. You captured the power of Brett Farve, one of the greatest of all time.
Brett Favre has a fast eye, instincts, and reflexes... It's not all Brett Favre's fault... Vikings need to raise their defences... Brett Favre is still as good as ever...
BRETT FARVE... WAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR WAS SO AMAZING... THIS FIRST GAME I GO TOO YOU THROW A LAST SECOND TD PASS TO LEWIS.. SOME THING I WILL NEVER FORGET... I WANT LAST YEARS FARVE BACK.
I really respected Brett when he played for the Pack, but this whole Vikings fiasco is nothing but drama and childishness. Brett is very content in the limelight-even if it is negative publicity-he's "there". What he doesn't realize is all the exploits of the past two years are eroding that "great image" of NUMBER 4. Alot of people, Pack and Vike fans wish he would just go away.
Brent SUCKS the VIqueen fans think he's God,LOL just wait he'll chock like ALWAYS,throw the ball Brent someone will catch it....Best thing the Packers did was get rid of his ass...
It is rumored that Favre has contacted Wrangler jeans about introducing a 500 TD edition of jeans complete with lewd photos of himself in the crotch area.
@sabeez7s Another choke interception by Favre vs Jets. Saints still champs, no matter how much hating you do. Beating Peyton in a Superbowl is no easy feat-they deserved the championship. Vikings had their best chance last year and they choked.
i think were going to be ok, we just need to do what we did last year... let AP run all over everyone for the beginning of the season while favre and the receivers can gel during practice and a little during the game then when defenses shift to stop AP let favre and the receivers goto work! this is how we did it last year... when favre missed camp... we need to do it again this year
It's too bad 2010 sucked for Favre. I love the guy, and it seemed like 2009 was really the best way he could've ended his career...

@Kenster9669 Yeah man, I still think about that all the time. If the Vikings had won that game, Brett would have had his second super bowl ring. No doubt. Then he wouldn't have come back in the fall and he would have had his peace.

We were robbed by the NFL. I miss Brett but Ponder will kick Aaron Rodgers ass.

I've always been a Brett Farve mark (still am now). It really peeved me when Packer fans started hating this guy's guts. He did way too much for you to hate him. Seriously, I have nothing but love for #4/ =)

This was so nicely done, johnnyboyfilms. This really made me fell great. I'll never forget that fun year in Minnesota.

2009 Vikings...2 fumbles.... one critical interception...and about 5 missed unnecessary roughness calls from hard hits on favre....from beating the saints and winning the Superbowl.
jeffbrister2004 1 year ago 3
@AbdulJabar8000 Manning only needs to play 6 more years, 5 if it goes to 18 game seasons. He hasn't been injured nearly as much, he plays in a dome, and his O-line has always been good. I'ts very likely that he can go for 5 or 6 more years easily.

in that championship game people always talk about the pics but they never talk about the beating he took and you could see in his eyes he was uterley distraught over the pic he threw

Brett Favre is the living ghost of Red Grange!
