  • hiya bin reich aber einsam

  • not to be a dick to any band broderick has been in but to me it seems like they all hold him back even megadeth tho megadeth is the greatest band ever it sucks that a peson with the talent of broderick seems to hold back his virtuosity on guitar

  • it reminds me of iced earth

  • That vocalist is awesome

  • amazing song and album!

    really great music!

  • This band remind me of Iron Maiden.

  • excellent metal music !

  • true epic

  • So, if not for Battle Hymns, then 1983 should be power metal's birth year. This is the year when the genre gets a name, its sound and the style of lyrics largely defined. In 1984, an explosion of the genre takes place with some of those mentioned plus Jag Panzer, Fates Warning, Metal Church, Omen, Running Wild, Jack Starr, Grave Digger, and why not Heir Apparent's first demo since all of its tracks made it to 1986's debut Graceful Inheritance

  • @Yiannis2112 1977 Riot - Warrior.

kai an valoume kai demo's ipopsin tote akouse apo to 1980 - 1981 demo twn Warlord to Battle of the Living Dead pou einai to pio "power" power metal pou akousa pote! :P kai fisika to 1981 demo tou Battle Hymns

  • However, there's a strong notion that everything truly starts next year. Indeed in 1983, Manowar, Manilla Road, Virgin Steele, Savatage, Warlord, Queensryche & Armored Saint, all release LPs and EPs and all of these recordings are, since then, considered and been named the first power metal albums

  • Ok here's my approach about who started when what. Manilla Road(first 2 LPs 1980&'82) & Cirith Ungol(1st LP 1980) were the 1st power metal bands (but only if we all agree that these LPs are actually power metal to every aspect; imho they're not 100%). Then, in mid & late 1982, along came Manowar & Virgin Steele with their debut LPs. There is strong belief that Manowar's Battle Hymns is truly the 1st 100%power metal LP

  • This band is amazing.

  • Well,i think there is no country ,who is the founder of Power Metal or Heavy Metal ,because it came from (nearly) all over The west world.Remember the 70ties,When it started with heavy music, there were Black Sabbath,Deep Purple,Rainbow,Judas Priest from U.K.,Thin Lizzy from Ireland,Scorpions,Lucifers Friend from Germany and Kiss,Van Halen,Ted Nugend,Riot from USA. So,tell me,got any country a patent on Heavy Metal???

  • You're all wrong, nobody founded power metal, there was no first metal band, and time period birthed the heaviness. Metal is and always has been, and Metal created the Metalheads.

  • that's what i have been saying for years...Metal has been in the hearts of men since time immorial....it's only been tagged a genre since of late

  • I'd say Heavy Metal was invented in England, being home to Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and The New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

  • i think you mean iron maiden. Because zepplin isnt exactly considered metal.

  • Yeah but can you name a metal band that hasn't been influenced by Led Zeppelin?

  • And some more bands you kids should check out that meld both:

    Harrow

    Jewel

    Jackal

    Artch

    Pretty Maids

Generally I find it to be the mid 90s Dutch/Danish/Norwegian bands

  • SLOUGH FEG!!

  • @CornStar7188

    Brilliant band.

  • Rage beats the tar out of both Helloween and Jag Panzer, it's an ideal mix of both schools See: Missing Link.

  • Hellloween is founder of POWER METAL ??This is a big joke!!!!:D

  • just check ''paint i new world ''man and no it's not a joke (a lot of journalist of rock and metal had said that since ''the keeper of the seven keys ''and since kai hansen left helloween

  • I say that the Founder was Saxon xD but thats just me jejeje

  • guys guys please cmon. Hellloween is founder of POWER METAL because of KAI HANSEN ACTUALLY LEADER, FOUNDER,SINGER,GUITAR PLAYER AND EX-HELLOWEEN (HE WROTE THE GRAND MAJORITY OF THE KEEPERS OF THE SEVEN KEYS PART I AND SOME OF THE KEEPERS PART II INCLUDING I WANT OUT) YOU KNOW HE IS THE GODFATHER OF POWER METAL (AND THE SISI FINNISH POWER METAL AND OTHERS ARE JUST A COPY PASTE OR WANABES OF HE'S WORK LONG LIVE GAMMA RAY AND KAI HANSEN

  • Although you seem loud and annoying, you are right. Although just because Kai is the forefather of power metal, he shouldnt have a monopoly over it, which is what you are implying.

And Kai doesnt care anyway. Its all metal.

  • yeah man i igree, in the end it's all about the music. i just want to make the point that there are two kinds of power metal .the german way (wich is my favorite because of kai hansen's helloween ,gamma ray, primal fear, etc) and the american way (like manowar, jag panzer, cage ((from san diego, they are awesome check their albums hell destroyer and darker than black )))

also known as TRUE METAL that's the diference because the american way sounds more agresive more rude

  • Quite wrong. Jag Panzer was writing music, when Kai Hansen was still a fetus. Not to mention Queensryche, Culprit, or Heir Apparent. Whether you like it or not, it is the Americans who generated the genre, mostly influenced by Iron Maiden.

  • i think you didn't catch me i prefer the german power metal and for heavymetalstorm11 it's not a joke probaly every body talks shit about helloween but journalist (rock and metal ) said that. i mean back in the day no body label metal it was heavy metal and that's it i think jag panzer ,helloween, gamma ray, manowar. they call themselves metal

  • Helloween is a great band, or at least used to be. They're just not the founders of Power Metal. I agree that the term was invented from journalists, but at least it helps us to categorise the breed. Anyway, i advice you to check more American Power Metal bands. Once you do, you'll forget Helloween and Hamsterfall.

  • alright man i will i also like cage (once again the media call them power metal and other true metal ) i just loved em they are from san diego and i was lucky to saw em in a couple of show (they are huge in germany man ) check it out ''i am the king (or something like that ) kill the devil '' philadelphia experiment and more i don't have nothing against american power metal peace!

  • No your Wrong. Both bands Start around the same time. Helloween Started in the 70s but under a different name. Both bands had their first albums in 1984.

  • Ez a legkirályabb zene basszátok meg!!

  • awesome

  • This is axe sharpening music.

  • Fuck Helloween(ewven if they are a decent band) these are thew real fathers of power metal!! real power metal, not that sorry ass power metal of stratovarius, dragonforce and stuff, the real stuff, Laaz Rockit, Metal Church, Fates Warning, Running Wild, Gothic Slam, Helstar,Hades, etc.

  • the true fathers of power metal????wtf??lmao!yeah right!that's why after all those years they're still just a little-known underground band while helloween are concidered gods and fill arenas/stadiums...stratovarius and dragonforce sorry ass power metal??????hahahahahaha!they're 2 of the greatest/most popular power metal bands ever!you're seriously retarded man and you know jack shit about what power metal is all about!piss off and never comment again on a power metal video...

  • you really are both a bunch of ignorant retards. First off, helloween is considered one of (if not "the) founding father of power metal. and Second off, dragonforce is fucking horrible live, they can only produce a good album after 9 or 10 takes. And stratovarious is not popular or great by any means, if anything they're in the same boat as "cookie cutter" power metal bands, like sonata arctica.

  • muhahahahahaha!stratovarius isn't popular???!!!wtf???!!!hahahahahaha!that's the most ignorant think I've ever heared in a power metal video...well,maybe they aren't so popular in the states where you don't have any idea about power metal-you only listen to thrash...but in the rest of the world, they're fucking HUGE!seriously man,you don't have a clue!stop posting right now-you're only embarassing yourself further!...

  • okay, if you say that stratovarious isn't popular or good then you must be retarded! and I just saw Dragonforce in concert and they were amazing! you shouldn't talk about things you don't know.

  • *sigh*you sent this to the wrong person pal-I was actually taunting the other idiot who said stratovarius and dragonforce aren't famous-I love both bands...

  • u dont have to be a popular band to be the father of the genre.

death isnt that popular but chuck is still the father of death metal

anthrax is probably the least popular out of the big four but there stilla founding father of thrash

popularity doesnt hae anything to do with being the father of the genre.

  • death aren't the fathers of death metal-that'll have to be possessed(the middle link between thrash and death)and death is actually a pretty popular/famous band for death metal standards.anthrax are not the fathers of thrash-not even close.they don't even deserve to be counted among the big 4-the first thrash band was overkill... furthermore jag panzer can't be concidered fathers of power metal because they don't even sound like a genuine power metal band-more like thrash...

  • I´ve read somewhere that the singer was one of the favourites to replace Bruce in Maiden. He could sing five classics with the band live, but Blaze got the job. Can somebody tell me if this is true?

  • I don't know if that's true, but I do know Conklin is one of the most underrated vocalists in the entire genre of metal!

  • I don't think it's true, but I think he could have done a great job.

  • Grandes!! JAG PANZER!!!!!

  • Which Jag Panzer albums remind of Mechanized Warfare? I mean MW has loads of cool progressive elements and I´ve heard much poor heavy metal from JP. Recommendations? Could be cool if you send me a pm.

  • Try "Casting the Stones".

But i believe that you ought to dig their discography. If you like prog try Conklins work with Titan Force.Total Orgasm, both their albums are 10/10.

  • Thanks buddy, I'll try that. Casting the Stones is the new one, isn't it? I believe I heard it at a music shop and didn't really dig it. I'll check Titan Force thingie. Cheers

  • Please check out Casting the Stones again! It really needs time to settle. At the moment I think it's the best JP cd, and I love the new and the old Jag Panzer.

  • the thane to the throne album is jag panzer's best stuff

a concept album about the tragedy of macbeth

  • PRICK UP YOUR EARS!!!

Dane in Nevermore sounds like a moaning bitch(and yaep he is a legent but for his work with Sanctuary).Nevermore sound has nothing to do with progress in music(like Queensryche,Watchtower,Last Crack,Psychotic Waltz ...)

    Blaze comment does not exist...

  • harry conklin is fantastic. seriously good. its the melodies he sings as well which make him stand out.

  • Harry Conklin is one of the greatest singers in metal.Listen to Satan's Host.

  • Harry Conklin has Metal in your veins.

  • The singer sounds like a cross between Blaze Bayley and the lead singer of Cage.

And I really dig both of those vocalists, so I dig this vocalist.

Hell, I dig the band and this is only the second song I've heard.

  • Mechanized warfare is great, the age of mastery is also one of my favorites. Thane the throne is an adaptation of Macbeth , and of course you got the good ol' Ample destruction. you choose :P

  • does anyone know which jag panzer albums are really good to start off with, cus ive been listening to them more often but i cant decide which album is good to start off getting into them more. i like few of their songs but im still not that familiar with their work.

  • For fucks shake assholes get off the video. If your metal knowledge isnt enough to know about Jag Panzer stop making shitty comments about nevermore and go to fuck off. Jag Panzer has nothing to do with shitty mallcore like nevermore. Ok?

  • lol

First, Broderick played for Nevermore live.

    Second, Nevermore is prog.

  • Dude nevermore is prog. And they are good. Although Mechanized Warfare is one of the best album I´ve heard.

  • Excelent

  • he sounds like tony martin

  • oh yah it is.

  • Is this Chris Broderick on guitar?

  • yup

  • yea

  • yeah Harry is a great vocalist and he's got his own style which I really apreciate :)

  • Yeah, I remember when he knocked-up Char...

  • Does anyone know any Jag Panzer songs where Harry Conklin sings low notes?

  • ya and the guy who plays the violin part on here is my violin professor lol its pretty badass

  • Chris Broderick really never plays up to his full ability it seems...especially in jag panzer...he could add so much more.

  • yeah, but he did what was right for the type of music he's playing.

  • only the steel will win the day...

  • absolutely love the riff to this song!

  • is the guy playing some Lotr / D&D boardgame -_-"?

  • He's a strategist, plotting his battle plans on a map.

  • ayee yee =DD

  • if you like this amazing, AMAZING song, the entire "Decade of the Nail-Spiked Bat" 2-disc is going to make you f*cking bust a nut, no joke... it happened to me... wow, Does your god speak to you? because mine SINGS to me! long live jp

  • How did I miss this? How long have these guys been around?

  • the first ep came out in 1983........they were together a couple years before that!

  • these guys are damn fuckin good...this song is off of the mechanized warfare album and every song on that album is 5 fuckin stars.....in the words of panzer themselves, THEY"RE METAL TILL THEY DIE !!! check out my covers btw

  • one of my fave bands

  • so rumours are that Broderick will replace Glen D in Megadeth... hmmm

  • its official look on the megadeth website

  • yeah :/

  • Its true he is the new Megadeth guitarist.

Very cool for him,he is amazing.

  • @joeysixtysix him joining is actually how i found out about jag panzer. i love megadeth and now i love these guys too

  • @not2stupidguitar same here

  • He already did

  • the lead singer is my cuz

  • How the hell does this video make them "satanic"?? you're all probably worried just because if they are "satanic" your parents wouldn't "approve". Tools.

  • why would it matter anyway? B-)

  • wowowowowowo

dont hate me cuzz im religious damn man

i dont judge music by religion

but man i aint retarded and fat like you said

i love this band and their songs

    and still didnt answer me

  • I love it. It's modern Dio meets well... Chris broderick lol.

  • What a fucking retarded...

Read The Bible and keep being a fucking blind stupid moron.

What does religion have to do with the quality of the music?

I bet you're one of those ordinary lame fat ass boys that go to Church every Sunday to praise the Lord.

  • amazing video, one of my favorite jag panzer songs for sure.

  • you should watch my cover of it it ..I also did Legion immortal....maybe later ill do unworthy

  • are thay satanists?

    i hope not

    cuzz they have good music

  • where did you get that notion? You should here the song unworthy off of the mechanised warfare album.....they've made a few other bibical references elsewhere as well, like in choir of tears

  • why would that matter?

  • What a fucking retard... read The Bible and keep being a fucking blind retarded moron.

What does religion have to do with the quality of the music?

I bet you're one of those lame fat ass boys that

  • Dude, you're even worse the the guy everyone is flaming. Religious is a personal thing. If he chooses to read the Bible, so be it. If he believes in a higher power, so be it. There is no reason to harass him. No reason to call him blind, like you have any sort of special insight.

Why the fuck do I waste my time trying to give angry 12 year olds insight.

  • jag f'n panzer bitches!!!!

  • True father of power metal, not that melodic speed from hellowen, hail Jag Panzer!!

  • Needs more cow bell...

  • Really, nowhere near enough cowbell....

  • LOL, thats a good one..

  • criss c quand qui vienne au quebec

  • hell yeah

  • mainstream licks balls, hold the steel high! Metal 4ever

  • HELL YEAH!! :D

  • Maybe JP doesn't have what it takes to break out into the mainstream of America. And I can think of no greater compliment for a band than being ignored by MTV. 95% of mainstream metal sucks balls. Just because a band sells millions of albums doesn't mean they're the best in the genre. Europeans understand what good music is. The majority of Americans have their heads up their asses.

  • Can you sing as good as H.C. ? I doubt it. He sounds as good live as on the cd , so you know he can sing , unlike say someone like Tim Owens who sounds like shit live , and reasonably good on cd. Jag Panzer rules !

  • I agree that the Tyrant is a great singer, but I don't agree on Tim Owens... I like his singing a lot, and I saw him live and he sounded great.

    Matter of taste, I guess...

  • Best metal singer of all time hands down~ Harry rules!

  • yeah, he has an amazing voice.

  • Try to listen ANDRÉ MATOS from Angra(1993/99)

He is better than this guy...

EX: Carry ON, Nothing to Say, M. Believe...

    OK!

  • nope, Hansi Kürsch is better

  • I prefer Warrel Dane over the two, but we can agree that all of them are good at what they do, yes?

  • yes :P

  • Warrel Dane might be the greatest vocalist. Nevermore has the greatest guitarist and greatest vocalist, making it the greatest band!

  • Dane has nothing on Peavy Wagner

  • Yup Hansi is the greatest vocalist the world as ever seen.

  • fuck yea!

  • strikeofthesword............you don't know shit about metal.

  • Haha. Yeah I agree. If you think Harry Conklin is not metal then you don't know what real metal is. One of the best JP songs from their best album.

  • Cool vid and song, but it is a bit dorky in a D and D type way. The singers voice is good if you're going to be doing neo classical shit not metal. Good song though.

  • 100% MIGHTY

  • One of my favorite Jag Panzer tracks. Nice acting by the Tyrant. ;)

  • This sounds better than Nevermore.

  • Awesome anbd dorky. Long live Jag Panzer!

  • electrifying solos

  • hhaahha corny but still awesome

  • Matmoraes said it best...

  • Epic

  • Dude thank you for the Panzer. Do you have any older stuff?

  • NEVERMORE WITH THEIR BOLLOCKS REMOVED.....

  • Umm. You don't know wtf you are talking about.

Jag Panzer was around before sanctuary/nevermore

and had an incredible influence on USA metal.

    Your need a good ass-beating.

  • that's partially true-

    Jag Panzer: '81

    Sanctuary: '85

    Nevermore: '94

Jag Panzer w/ Broderick (when they started to see true success, not just underground popularity): '97

Take your pick? Both bands are musically incredibly different. Bboyuk probably only made the comment because he saw Nevermore w/ Broderick (like me, heh) and assumed that Chris Broderick's main gig sounded exactly the same...

  • Shut the fuck up and enjoy good music

  • PANZER DIVISION DESTROYED
