  • I just got my GREEN Endura and my BLUE Delica today! thanks! (recent TNP convert)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm buying the brown version. I can't wait to feel some V-10

  • EGG-CELLENT!!!!!

  • Wait for it.............

  • With a such a glowing review, would you consider this knife in your top 5 for EDC? I have recently been on a quest for my next EDC; the Endura 4 FFG seems to be a good all around knife with the potential for light tactical, but I am sure there are other prospects worth contemplating. What are your top 5 for EDC? Any help is appreciated.

  • I like it when you lay them down and they appear to have black blades because of the reflection....the blue handled one especially....

  • Mine came razor sharp, with a solid lockup, and great grip traction. Great knife for slicing flesh, as I found out after a bread cutting test mishap lead to a cut down to the bone on my finger. Nothing a couple stitches couldn't fix though... *facepalm*

  • Just bought one along with another shirt. Sweet stuff. Thanks Nutn!

  • I wanna see those wire clips incorporated into new enduras, and others, what is this, a half a face-lift? come Spyderco, give us those wire clips...on all 4 corners thank you

  • $100+ :'( this is a rich mans game :'(

  • @4estadventurer got mine for $55 . So not 100+... so it's all good

  • @4estadventurer Thats the MSRP....shop around they are around 60

  • i rlly wish they had this knife in blaze orange

  • @realefancy They just came out with it, new for 2012

  • i just got a blue one today, awesome knife!

  • what do you guys recommend for cleaning this blade?

  • @JBL1TZ WD-40 or RemOil should work just fine.

  • My blue endura has a more aqua tint to it that most cameras show, still love it!

  • hey question here judging on the little brother of the indura, the vg-10 steel and tough frame construction would iether the delica 4 or endura 4 ffg with frn handles make a good back up survival knife????, btw i will not baton with a folder im talking making traps helping to make fire striping pine bows ect.

  • I need me a finger choil. Those finger choils are SO awesome in the sage, PM2, etc, I can't imagine not having it.

  • the music made me lol :D

  • Thank you for your great review nutnfancy. I am a 13 year old kid and you hav introduced me to the knife community and has made me ADDiCTED to collectinf knives. I have purchsed all of the colors of the endura as well as the lonewolf design because of your review. I mostly collect spyderco due to their look, quality, and POU. I have purchased almost every knife you have reviewed. Thanks again and have a great day.

  • Would it be weird to copy his knife and buy one in blue for myself I really love the look of this knife !?

  • would u say this is a tactical blade??

  • @knifeguy98 I'd definitely say so

  • what does POU mean???

  • @knifeguy98 it stands for Philosophy of Use. Its an original term Nutn came up with to explain his thoughts on how he uses or recommends using, an item since different knives/guns/gear are meant to do different jobs. He also uses it as a way to put good thought into how we intend to use guns, knives, gear etc. and how we intend to integrate them into our larger systems like everyday carry system, tactical system, backpacking system etc. Hope it helps.

  • Its a shame here in KY the knife laws are very vauge (sp ) no defined blade lengths it says something like on hunting knives or "ordinary" folding knives. Anything else could be considered a concealed deadly weapon. It usually leaves that definition up to the cops and judges. I don't carry anything more than 4" to be safe

  • Just got my Endura today, its my first knife. Took me awhile to decide but I got the brown, can't stop playing with it!

  • I recently picked up one of these critters (the gray FRN model). It is truly an evolved and refined design. So light! And it has a 3.75", potent slicing blade! And steel liners!

If you can spare the room in your pockets, the Endura FFG is shockingly EDC'able. It carries strikingly well.

One last thought, re: defense -- Martial Blade Concepts honcho Mike Janich carries a customized 3.5" Endura. Quite an endorsement. The dedicated factory blunt "trainer" is high quality and a HUGE plus.

  • i hated the spyderco design like a year ago ... and now im reeeealy lovin it ;D kinda funny^^

  • you need to show your knives against a soda can for comparison. I was expecting much smaller knife in the mail.

  • Nice, but how is this good fighting knife? Isnt it a little too short?

  • @zippotix These blades are the longest you can legally carry in many areas of the country (just less than 4 inches.) That makes them the best available to carry concealed.

  • @Ammobucket Yeah, thats right, although I dont live in US, I know there are many regulations on carrying a knife. But I mean design :). Dont you think that tip is too "dull"? Not good for stabbing?

  • @zippotix It's not perfect for defense for sure. But it's definately better than the 6 inch tactical fighting knife that has to stay at home so you don't get arrested.

Besides, I wouldn't want to get stabbed with it!

  • @Ammobucket Well, I can carry even a 10 inch knife, dagger or otherwise, legally :). No regulations about knives where I live, but I see your point. Although getting a gun here is hard, very hard. BTW, maybe you could recommend me some decent dagger? Not too long, so I can carry it discreetly :)?

  • @zippotix Fighting knives are useless unless you are carrying them. So unless you plan to edc something like a Cold Steel Rajah II, don't even consider anything in that nature. I prefer to train with my edc knives cause chances are, If I ever find myself in a self defense situation, I would most likely be carrying my endura instead of my Rajah II.

  • @SexiJayyyy I get your point. I also have endura and I like it, but never thought of it as a self defense knife. What is tactical knife btw?

  • nutnfancy, before I started watching your videos I had no interest in tactical and survival gear. A few days of watching later, and I'm going broke. Thank you, jerk. :)

  • @RainbowCanyons LOL! Nutn will love this comment. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy I'm the same...lol, it's a trend, nutn should be getting a bonus if not full time pay , serious!!

  • sorry, but i gotta ask...is gimping/chimping (how the hell do you spell that) a real word? can't find it anywhere but I here it soo much.

  • @PaiRaiUno Jimping. Google "Knife Jimping" for more info.

  • DON'T TAKE THEM APART! I disassembled the handle out of curiosity, and found that the zytel molded piece that the spring is seated in, would not align because the spring creates a separation that makes it almost impossible to get back together. Once I finally did get it to fit together, there is a gap because it wont align due to zytel "nubs" that get deformed by trying to fit it together under tension. Great knife, just dont take it apart. It wont be the same.

  • Man these knives are awesome! Just ordered one in brown for $52 on Amazon! With free shipping!

  • Thx nutn! Great review as always! Just ordered one!!

  • @EternalJon it has a flat smooth emblen under where the pocket clip rubs,

  • good intro song choice

  • I lost my blue Delica 4. it was a fantastic knife, but I can't see myself replacing my baby. I think I will go for a blue Endura 4 instead. And to who ever stole my knife at work, SCREW YOU!!

  • i can't even describe how jealous i am on your prices in us, i live in croatia and every nutn video where he talks about how much knives cost in US, i get so angy on croatias taxes and everything.., for example- endura4 ffg about $130, police g10 about $230...

  • @Nutnfancy Nutn, you said in the Stretch II review that you preferred the Stretch over the Endura, but I think it was the Endura 4 in saber grind. Does that change with the new FFG version?

  • just orderered one of these using your coupon code

  • There's a couple vids floating around on youtube that show the locking mechanism on this knife failing very easily. Like when thrusting or putting moderate pressure on the spine. Has anyone else had that experience? I was worried when I saw those vids because I thought my Delica might have the same problem.

  • @TaskForceSixTwoSix I'll tell you, when I heard some of that stuff I opened my Delica and (safely) spine whacked the crap out of it against some stacked reams of paper.

No failures or problems at all.

    Just one more data point.

  • @classof77 i took a spyderco tenacious and spine wacked it on a curb for about 5 min. didnt fail once and had no blade play after. that liner is strong.

  • endura or aegis?

  • Thx

  • is the lanyard hole large enough to fit 550 paracord??

  • @61corvett Well, I currently use 550 on mine, but i took the nylon cord out off the cord that actually goes through the hole... havent tried it with the nylon in it, but even without the nylon cord, it barely fit so im going to say no, it probably wont

  • @nutnfancy I have the money for this knife... But ive been looking at the skyline and tenacious, would 1 of those be better?

  • @MrPiplup345 endura 4 without a doubt, but if you really want to choose, its between the skyline and endura. the tenacious is only $30 although its an amazing knife you will be better off with the endura. good luck choosing :)

  • so i should get an endura 4 instead of a tenacious?

  • @61corvett Endura 4 has better steel

  • @61corvett Endura

  • I know this knife is good for slicing but is it also good for piercing?

  • should i get the endura or the sog vulcan?

  • Now all we need is this in an emmerson Wave shaped blade

  • I've had my blue FFG for 7 months now. love it.

  • i really want this in the tan its sweet

  • thanx to your reviews i've become knife crazy. love your reviews. based on them i own two spidies (resilience for foodprep, endura4FFG blue for edc)

i also edc a handmade french laguiole with corkscrew (for the wine bottles) and a thorn. but i am hooked to spyderco-i just love the knives. Keep up the excellent job!

greetings from austria / Arnold - not crocDundee!

  • Nutn' I just wanted to say thanks for this review. I took your advise and bought the Endura 4 FFG in brown and it is without a doubt the best knife I have ever owned.

    Keep up the great work!

  • I have had a green endura 4 ffg in my pocket for about 1 year now ... Its one of the best pocket knifes that I ever carry .. Its my EDC knife ... The VG-10 steel is no problem to keep sharp. I LOVE it.. Thank you nutnfancy for making me want to get this knife .. took me a year + a few months to get back to you on it cuz i wanted to carry it and ues it ... This knife is worth the buy !!

  • I wish the FFG would come without the milled nested steel liners, so I could give it as a gift to my professional cooking brother...

  • How well does it take duracoat

  • is it pin construction?

    i cant really tell

  • @suhood16 Nope. It looks like it's pinned from one side, but you'll find torx/hex screws if you turn it over

  • @suhood16 should of watched the whole review.. 6:43

  • i was just watching a video about 10 mins after ordering this knife go figure... with a guy saying the safety fails on him, hes like stabbing it into some cardboard on the ground and the thing collapses. Should i be worried about this because this will be my primary tatical blade...is this something i shouldnt be concerned with?

  • @paksteel410 No, you should not, i dont know what that dude was doing, but ive done alot of stuff to my FFG endura, (Stabbed trees, stabbed large hunks of meat, stabbed leather boots) and never has it failed, or even acted like it was going to fail.

    Dont even worry about it.

  • Hey Nutnfancy, I just looked on yourcornerstore and didn't see the Endura 4 FFG. I already got one off Amazon, but is it discontinued or just not carried at yourcornerstore?

  • @Quadmachine0 They have them there, they are prolly just out of stock.

  • Hello, can you tell me the difference between FFG & FRN? Cause I couldn't find the FFG on the Spyderco website or anywhere. Big thx!!

  • @fustah FFG stands for Full Flat Grind (as in your blade grind) and FRN stands for Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon and it is used in the Endura's handles. So they really aren't comparable, but I think you might've confused the acronyms. Hope this helps, take care dude.

  • @Quadmachine0 Yea after I posted my comment, I read further into it and realized the different. Thx thou:)

  • @fustah FFG means full flat grind and refers to the blade grind. FRN mean fiberglass-reinforced nylon and refers to the handle scales. You can have both on the same knife as with the endura here reviewed. you can find them on amazon.

  • Hey Nutn, should I get an Endura 4 FFG or a Delica 4 FFG?

  • @hondarider9494 It would depend on your "POU"/application of the knife. Delicas are better for utility tasks, or as an EDC knife, but the Endura is also quite popular as an EDC, but it's larger than I would like to carry for utility type tasks.

  • Guys - replies here are appreciated. Which should I get?

Endura and Delica, OR, Persistance, Tenacious, and Resilience?

  • @Wingsfan7 If you have no problem spending a little more, the Endura and Delica (great EDC btw) would be the way to go and well worth the cash (you can find good prices on them if you shop around.) VG-10 steel and the reinforced FRN scales are a great combo. Nice and strong without being a brick. I absolutely LOVE my Endura. Not to say the others are bad at all, they're great but will require more sharpening and care. If you got the money I say go for the upgrade, you'll be happy you did.

  • i want one so bad! except since it is difficult to take apart and reassemble how is cleaning on these knives? i would hate to get a bunch of grit in there and not be able to get it out

  • @sharpandtasty It's actually not too bad. There is a trick you can use to get the torsion bar back in pretty quick. I actually just completely broke-down and cleaned my Endura today. Not as bad as I had expected. Lemme know if you're interested in the torsion bar trick if you decide to get one. Which I recommend btw =]

  • Wow!Because of you they now make the Endura in ffg!Sooooo cool!

  • Thanks Nutnfancy, I ordered my first 'real' knife yesterday - happened to be this exact one thanks to your review, hope I won't be disappointed, I'm kinda choosy but oh well, there's too many knives on the market to choose one definite #1. Wanted to go for Emerson CQC7 but it's currently back-ordered by knifecenter, shame. Well, again, thanks for making those videos man, keep up the good work and greetings from Poland!

  • Did they every made an Endura 4 + Wave + G10 + steel liners?

Cause i hate FRN, looks like walmart-plastic-knife-handle, and i like weight to my knives.

  • ...anyway...it sucks they discontinued the G10 version of the Endura...better design in my eyes.

Best Regards (accept for dumbfuck anthony)- Ratified

  • Police officers are the scum of the earth.

  • @anthonypettiskick FUCK YOU ASSHOLE!!!

  • @anthonypettiskick Yup, I agree with RatifiedCow. Little tick turd hiding behind a keyboard.

  • endura or delica?

  • does Spyderco make this in a wave version?

  • @MrTyleryates Yes, I've got it and it works great.

  • @MrTyleryates Correction, I just went and pulled out my Emerson and it is the saber grind. My bad.

I think the FFG for the Wave version might not be strong enough across the blade in front of the hook. At least not for me, I'm hard on my blades.

  • @MrTyleryates No, they do not have a wave in FFG, unless you modify it, haha

  • Ordered a blue one to go with my War society color. I ordered it from tactical defender and if it takes more than 10 buisness days to arrive I will no longer order from tim.

  • This knife is sick, i look like ive got mange from all the hair patches missing.

    ITS SO SHARP

And beautiful with the blue handles.

  • i watched this video 3 times before buying myself a endura 4. Really like your reviews man

  • I use mine all the time even with me modding it and it holds up great and it is wa better than the zip tie mod.

  • I'm looking for an Endura model in the price range of 45-60 bucks...I want one that is strong enough for everything...tatical, work, camping, etc. Can anyone give me any suggestions? I don't want a serrated version. Thanks.

  • Nutn what do you think about modifying these knives to have the wave feature. I cut mine with a dremel very slow keeping it cool to not change the heat treatment. I love the mod I did to mine and wanted to get your YouTube on it?

  • hey nut i have just purchased a endura 4 vg-10 and the pocket clip of my edura is having a small jimp what do you suggest i should do??? hope for your response soon more power. love your vids

  • @moab123456 Could you repeat the question?

  • @Kylef7735 the endura 4 I've purchased is having a small movement on its pocket clip is it normal?

  • @moab123456 Do you have a torx bit set, you need to tighten your pocket clip screws.

  • @Kylef7735 ok thanks i will buy a torx bit set but i'll have to purchased it on ebay thanks so much man morepower

  • @moab123456 Look into the Benchmade Blue Box Kit

Best torx set for knives made, its a bit on the expensive side, around 16 bucks, but its great.

  • @Kylef7735 ok man thanks i'll keep that in mind more power

  • i think i prefere the original endura and delica! This is too thin!

  • @pillemannen Have you ever heard of one failing because of that?

    I certaintly never have.

  • @pillemannen I think exactly the same!

  • i prefere the scandi grind on all knives..that's why i wanna get a spyderco endura4 saber grind and grind it down to a scandi grind..then the blade is sharp sharp and easy to resharpen without losing the angle..spyderco should sell the endura in scandi grind..i would buy one right away..

  • After carrying both the Delica and Endura FFG, the Endura is plenty light enough to carry as a EDC blade, if the size doesn't bother you in pocket the extra size can come in handy as just-in-case insurance. Plus with the FFG the blade tip is plenty sharp and thin to easily use in delicate tasks. I typically don't like to carry a blade that is 3+ inches as an EDC but I find myself picking the Endura FFG over the Delica FFG as my EDC blade daily.

  • I'm STOKED!!! My Endura 4 FFG comes in tomorrow!!

  • You guys should check out the cuttleryshoppedotcom for this knife. They have better prices.

  • @AttaDave Ended up being $.02 more after shipping for me there but they also had more in stock. Thanks for the heads up.

  • Does the g10 version have any play in the blade?

  • gasp! nutnfancy is not criticizing liners! ahhh the world is ending jk so im really interested in the grey im not a color fan so im glad the ffg is in a plainer color boring people like me like...ya most of my knives are black

  • gasp! nutnfancy is not criticizing liners! ahhh the world is ending jk

  • what should i get a delica or endura

  • @bender43718 Ya you should.

  • @bender43718 Depends on what you need it for. Delica is smaller blade and Endura is larger. I picked Endura because I wanted a knife that I could take into any situation really.

  • I finally got one of these after thinking about it for way too long. I got two FFG Delica's soon after these reviews came out, and they are very good for EDC. This one is a bit big for my regular EDC, however in the bush it will get used for sure. Mine needed major pivot adjustment as it was difficult to open with two hands as it came. Easy fix, but what if a buyer does not have the TORX tools? Really the knife should be good to go out of the box.

  • Is the Endura 4 to big for a EDC? The Delica is a little to small. If not what knife would you recommend?

  • @CharlesCather1 No, its not too small.

  • Oh, if there's no "line" on the blade, that's a ffg version! Isn't it?

  • @Roystonc1997 Yep.

  • how can i distinguish between the endura 4 and the endura 4 ffg version?

Can i distinguish them just looking at the handle?

  • ordered mine for $57 including shipping. too bad it is taking forever to get here cause im like a kid the night before christmas waiting for it. honestly cant wait. BTW my wallet cant handle you making these knife videos i want them all. TNP ROCKS!

  • @THE666SNIP3R where u order it from?

  • @airsoftmasters i got it from amazon but as of late the prices have jumped a lot like now from the same seller the gray version which is the cheapest is 75 but even at that price it is still well worth the money as its an awesome knife. any other questions i will be happy to answer as well.

  • I got a quick question would this knife be ok for say whittling a stick as well as edc like say your around a camp fire and pick up a stick could you use it to whittle with fairly easy? Also is the lockback good? I saw a vid where some guy disengaged the lock back by stabbing cardboard in a back hand manner i guess you'd say.

  • Please tell me where Nuttin recommends to purchase this knife and others I can never find it in the annotations. Thanks

  • @cb3099 He usually gets them from Your corner store dot com at least i believe that's where he gets a lot of his stuff

  • Dude I just got a endura ffg in blue and I'm loving it. It is going straight into my EDC. Thanks nutn for the great reviews!

  • 154cm or vg10

  • @THEHUNTER096

dude, might as well ask ford or chevy!

  • Cool knives but not affordables for everybody...very very high prices for Spyderco's folding knives...way to expensives...

  • @darknuke96 You could check out the Spyderco Tenacious G10 for $27.40 at Amazon. Great knife I love it.

  • Curse your reviews nutnfancy!! you are beating up my checking account!

  • nutnfancy/ veri: Maybe I just missed it but I don't believe this video made the tactical folders play list. Was that on purpose or an oversight?

  • Nutn you have to try the Byrd Cara Cara 2 knife it''s FFG 8CR13MOV,the liners are identical to the Endura 4 FFG,good jimping, the texturing is equally tractionable to the Endura 4 FFG,weigh only 3.5 oz and it's only 20.00!!!

  • @CutleryNovice i checked it out, and it seems the only differences about the Endura FFG and the Cara Cara 2 is the blade steel (Endura is VG10 and CC2 is 8cr13mov). and the brand name. so i guess if you are on a tighter budget, and cant pay the extra 30 dollars for the steel and brand name, then its a pretty good choice id say.

  • Thanks for the great review, just got my green FFG Endura 4 and love it!

  • what would be the difference between the stretch (vg10) and the endura 4 ffg? theyre both vg10 with frn handles. i know they have differnt bllade and handle shapes but why is the stetch about 20-30 bucks more?

also nutnfancy you said the stretch comes out faster than the endura? does that mean that the endura doesnt deploy fast?

im a huge fan btw you are awesome. ur vids influenced me buying a tenacious

also what are some good knives for lefties?

  • in norway if have one one you and the police se it you have to pay a found of 1000-1500$

  • Dude, how many Enduras do you have?

  • Thnks u just helped me pick my knives color blue all the way

  • why's the blue look darker that at the shot show?

  • im sorry bro bacon but when i heard the music i thought i was about to watch the little mermaid also go easy on use with the Endura overload T_T i want one

  • im sorry bro bacon but when i heard the music i thought i was about to watch the little mermaid

  • Does it still has steel liners in them ?? How is the balance and speed ? How is it better than Endura 4 previously reviewed ?

  • @urkingod Watch the review or read the description it answers all of those questions.

  • SHHHtufff XD

  • do you know if there are any fake Spyderco's being sold on places like ebay? I have been looking for a g10 endura and the only one i've found is on Ebay. Obviously i don't want to buy a fake

  • Thanks for the site where you bought it. Be sure to tell you just got them a new customer. Great vid!!

  • im trying to decide from this or the spyderhawk wat should i choose?
