Will the Raiders win the West this year?! Well, Kansas City seems to be a threat, but man... it's funny not really having San Diego in the equation. They can bounce back, but they lost 3 straight to the Raiders and losing against the Chiefs, who are just really average. Phillip Rivers sucks this year. All QB's go through those phases. He'll get it together, but overall, Chargers just aren't very good. But, anything can happend in that division.

Carson Palmer has been a breath of fresh air, given all that has transpired. We are very lucky to have him. Does anyone think we could have won this without him? Btw, both teams were plagued by injuries in this game, just look at the Raiders secondary. If the Raiders can get healthy, you have to like the team's resolve. Lord knows they have learned to overcome adversity this season, something that could serve them well now and in the future.

I was very pleased to see DHB support Moore on the sidelines and not play the diva about his decreased role. With Ford's injury (just a sprain, thank goodness), DHB could be a huge factor in the Minn game, as I expect Ford to miss that game, at least. Last Point. Last season after the bye, the raiders blew their season by coming out of it flat for 3 straight games. It appears Jackson was able to limit that flatness to 1 game. Short of bad luck and injuries, the next 3 games are there to be had.

Great game. Couple points. About the fake punts. Can anyone deny that our punter is the best throwing punter in the league? He looks good throwing it. Hue Jackson is a LOT smarter than he is given credit for. The benefit from running that fake punt is that it forces teams to respect our ability to run plays out of that formation AND thereby detracts from the opposing team's ability to set up a return when Lewchler does punt (which is still 98% of the time). It's a boon to our coverage team.

I was at this game, and there is a growing feeling that Philip Rivers is not the premiere QB in the AFC West anymore. Even Charger fans were commenting on how off he has been this year. He missed some gimme throws which would have gone for huge gains today. 23-47 for the day. Carson Palmer had a perfect QB rating all the way until the 4th quarter.

He looked great in person, and I've watched film since I got home. This offense should be scary when McFadden is healthy
