@Ruhnezmei89 I don't spray the wipes. I just toss them in the diaper pail. I wipe 99% of the poop of his bottom with the diaper then finish up cleaning with a wipe. I never get enough on the wipe (normally) to need to pre-rinse.
thankyou for making such detailed videos.. i have contemplated cloth for a while, but i currently dont have a washing machine right now. anyway my question is, using the liner and the wooden basket, is there really no smell, no bug issues? i was worried there would be especially with what my children release lol.
@uneeddiscushion I don't think using a wooden basket with a liner is a good option. There would be a smell if you don;t have a lid to cover it. I would suggest getting a rubbermaid 13 gal garbage can with a lid and putting your linner in that. If you left it open you may or may not get bugs on it. Depends if you have bugs in your house I guess. Plus if you leave it out your kids could get to it and it's just not very sanitary.
@carlynicoleelliotte thanks for the response. oh i had said wooden basket b/c when i wrote the comment i thought that what you used in the video.. i will probably use one of thoese stainless steel ones that seal real well when im able to cloth diaper.. i dont currently have a washer dryer.. thx for ur videos and btw, i cried buckets at a lot of ur videos.. keep being an inspiration.. i have two kids, 4 and 1 and i dont know if i could have been as strong as you. much love
This is exactly how I wash my diapers! Except for the detergent, I currently use planet and it is not working out that well with my hard water so I am having to use calgon and planet each wash. I had never heard about build up in the machine being a problem.. I will have to look into that! maybe I will check out the crunchy clean! Thanks! I keep my wipes with my diapers but I don't use a solution, warm water works just fine but to each their own!
@MandeeTheGreat Yeah, at times I will just use plain warm water when in a hurry. I just like te smell of the solution and I think it helps to keep my sons bottom fresh. You should check out the crunchy clean. It's wonderful!!
i would love to use cloth diapers once i have kids, it just seems like so much work! haha, thank you for the vid, i was curious about the washing process.
sorry, what are the balls you toss in the dryer with the diapers? you cant use fabric softner? like dryer sheets? how come?
@ReillyAJ The dryer balls are made of 100% organic wool. They soften up the diapers and cut the drying time by about 40%. Fabric softners (liquid and sheets) will make the diapers quit absorbing.
do you use a diaper sprayer after changing to get the poop out or do you just put the poop in the washing machine?
