the only reason you should learn this is

1 it looks cool

2 you want a black belt in your martial art class.

This is totally useless, why? chance that it'll go correctly is like 1/10

chances that you'll get ram on the ground or knock out is like everytime. it 1/4 the time for your opponent to throw a double elbow than you throwing this kick

For one, it's not a black belt move, it comes way earlier.

True, it's not practical as a standalone move, but can be an OK follow-up to a side kick with a good slide. If performed well, of course. Stuff shown here has a few errors that makes it look even less practical than it is. So once you have stunned your opponent and ganed the luxiry of extra 0.5 seconds, this move is a good powerful follow-up to finish the fight. It really is a very powerful kick.

There's a user on youtube called kwonkicker. Check out his stuff. He actually shows some very clean technique, is in good shape and knows what he is talking about. Young but knowledgeable.

@2012Save if you're in a real fight, you never have time to perform good moves... even in a martial tournament, they stand afar and randomly throw out good looking strike and *tap* the opponent. it's all up to how you're able to response to the strike. Learning cool moves are just showing off.

It's not really that hard to do, as long as you have a quick roundhouse. Very effective though, it always throws opponents off their guard when you are sparring,especially if you throw it immediately after your opponent tries to roundhouse kick and on the opposite side. Does anyone know what episode this was? Because I learned this from Tang Soo Do, but it is a pretty universal move.

Be careful not to get kicked in the balls when doing the spin. If your opponent knows Krav Maga, he will probably burst you in the torso before you are even a halfway ready with your circular move. That is why circular motions might get you killed.

Scratch my earlier reply, some errors in counting the degrees. Nevertheless, one semi-rotation shown here is unneeded and gives away intent. The overall geometry is off. The leg is not aligned with the plane of the back at the moment of impact (which it should be). His arms are kind of all over the place, opening the floating rib. If done correctly, you wouldn't have the openings you speak of. And it's not about krav maga: it doesn't take that to know how to strike someone's balls

@noestoyfacil If your not an expert, it will never work, but you would be surprised to see how fast some kung fu/ karate/ any generic asian martial art master can get it. Its usually used when the guy is stunned, like after youve already hit him a couple of times.
