@StaggaLags It's two naked chicks making out (or something more) and then they turn into a crocodile and walk away. Maybe it's the imaginary religious law against homosexuality =D, Luigi did intend to mock our society.
@Y0UTubeStaff My grandmother got it for my father at a garage sale, some old guy had it priced and around 70 something. I would flip through the pages of insanely creepy drawings and think I was decoding it., even when I was probably only guessing.
Had to get this book. Gazed at it for hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours -
@bethesda423 you read it as a kid? really? its in a fake language. and even when it came out it was 100 dollars. i think your mistaken this for maybe an escher book or something.
sick fantasi that s all or it is message from it...we re here and we fucking you (humanity)like dog u r nothing for us just fucking meat we create u and now we do our experiment on you and we goning to kill yuo
I love the way luigi takes us on a journey through his mind, he captured the moments he thought these images up, the diffrent emotions and mentality these images hold is astonishing to say the least! BRAVO!!!!
What gets me the most about the Codex is not just the obvious parody of our world, or the grisly surrealism, but the persistent scenes of absolute beauty and soaring imagination. Some of Luigi's visions were terrifying, some were humorous, but so many were soul-shaking and limitless. The Codex, more than anything, is a call to action.
Trippy. That writing system has confounded linguists and cryptographers since the book was published. No one knows if it is meaningful or not. The numbering system was found to be meaningful though. Base 23. Hopefully the artist (Luigi Serafini) deciphers it before he dies.

Thank you so much for posting this!
I just recently discovered the Codex Seraphinianus and this is by far the most comprehensive treatment I have come across.
Beautiful music as well. Very well done. :)

Now, as I was able to watch your video, I can say it was an interesting book.
If I had understand the content, it has surrealistic subjects of nature and technologie.
The music harmonizes with the pictures. Especially the first one.
