  • 5:36...... what the fuck?

  • @StaggaLags It's two naked chicks making out (or something more) and then they turn into a crocodile and walk away. Maybe it's the imaginary religious law against homosexuality =D, Luigi did intend to mock our society.

  • @CatFlashBlue or maybe this is just the result of a lot of drugs.

    :p

  • @Y0UTubeStaff My grandmother got it for my father at a garage sale, some old guy had it priced and around 70 something. I would flip through the pages of insanely creepy drawings and think I was decoding it., even when I was probably only guessing.

  • Had to get this book. Gazed at it for hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours -

  • I wonder how you can come across this so you can read it..

  • It's weird to see these images after growing up reading this book as a kid. It's quite creepy

  • @bethesda423 you read it as a kid? really? its in a fake language. and even when it came out it was 100 dollars. i think your mistaken this for maybe an escher book or something.

  • This seems to be of a high quality.

  • ahhh I want this! too bad I don't have an extra $500 just lying around.

  • Like codex alimentarius??? xexe

  • I want this book so bad it hurts my soul

  • reminds me of the voynich manuscript

  • Wow , he make all the drawings ??

  • da vinci and bosh in the new century

  • Where was his mind?....

    Puzzling indeed.

  • @stakesource the LSD doing great job xexe...

  • too bad i need to be a millonaire to enjoy this book x'D

  • @aoiniina You can download a PDF online.

  • I love the way luigi takes us on a journey through his mind, he captured the moments he thought these images up, the diffrent emotions and mentality these images hold is astonishing to say the least! BRAVO!!!!

  • What gets me the most about the Codex is not just the obvious parody of our world, or the grisly surrealism, but the persistent scenes of absolute beauty and soaring imagination. Some of Luigi's visions were terrifying, some were humorous, but so many were soul-shaking and limitless. The Codex, more than anything, is a call to action.

    Great music, btw!

  • If you like this stuff, see also the animated feature FANTASTIC PLANET (1973) aka La planète sauvage.

  • WOW, I have never felt so chilled out and mellow ever before, that just oozes something I can't explain.

  • lol, looks like the kinds of things i see while on crack lol XD

    jk not really on crak

  • I've been a proud owner of this book since the 80's. Thanks for sharing.

  • I have studied this book for 11 years .. Your concept of life will change when you spend time admiring the work.. It is a story about Earth..

  • abstract exceptions to the paranormality; see

tv antennas made of skeleton bones at 5:30...

  • Thank you so much for posting this!

I just recently discovered the Codex Seraphinianus and this is by far the most comprehensive treatment I have come across.

Beautiful music as well. Very well done. :)

  • Trippy. That writing system has confounded linguists and cryptographers since the book was published. No one knows if it is meaningful or not. The numbering system was found to be meaningful though. Base 23. Hopefully the artist (Luigi Serafini) deciphers it before he dies.

  • i am just as mystified by the writing system as well as the pictures. is this the complete book?

  • No. This is just a choice containing a little more than a half of the complete book.

  • Thank you for posting this!!

  • wow! what a discovery! it seems a fascinating book, so masterfully/magically illustrated....

thank you for so generously posting this, and with great music!

and thanks, distantmirrors, for sharing it with me!

  • Thank you for sending me the video. The book looks fascinating and the images are very intriguing.I will be happy to learn more about it.

  • Now, as I was able to watch your video, I can say it was an interesting book.

If I had understand the content, it has surrealistic subjects of nature and technologie.

The music harmonizes with the pictures. Especially the first one.

  • ma cos'hai che sei in piena produzione? hai preso qualcosa? ti sei dopato? scherzo ovviamente

  • Bellissimo, grazie infinite! :-)))
