Watch at 2:09 just how close that truck came to hitting Drew. The first couple of times I saw this, I thought that that was a really close call. That if the truck were to have veered to the left just a little Drew would have been run over and burned, as the truck was on fire. But I realized they would never put a child in such a dangerous position. I think they actually used in a dummy for that scene.
I was blown away by that scene. It shows special effects can be achieved without computers.I don;t blame charly for blowing up everything and killing some of the shop agents. They killed her mother and father and left her an orphan. They really deserved it.
@aamadoafpb Really great special effects, and that was all real fire too. Makes one wonder just how uncomfortable Drew was about having to do that scene. But yeah, Charly was furious at The Shop people for killing her parents and how they treated her. She destroyed it, as her father told her, so they could never harm anybody again.
@mikencarly2000 She is destroying the shop and all of the people associated with it because of what they did to her family, it was her father's last wish.
@PunktualTruth That is a great moment when the guy gets the fear of God in him and desperately cries to Charly for mercy. Of course, Charly just looks at him as if to say "Go to Hell!"
I really like the music all throughout the film, and especially here when Charlie unleashes her fury. It really lets us know that there is something truely fearful and terrifying about this innocent-looking little girl and that fooling with her is playing with fire ;) The music at the end is also very nice. It kind of tells us that the Manders will take good care of Charlie and that she`ll be all right :) Leave it to Tangerine Dream to be very creative in making the music here.
Even Sister Ratched leaves her final imprint on the future fate of Charly the Firestarter... The movie has me reeling for a much longer ride through the sickly mastermind of Stephen King oeuvre !
I said this in the last part but It is worth saying again it is like charlie reached a limit break from the Final Fantasy series and is going to unleash her ultimate strength

The music at the end credits is very beautiful, atmospheric and
futuristic. I remember recorded it from TV to cassette recorder
and listened it and dreaming.
It's a shame, that in the movie this long version at the end
credits is only in mono , because it's different in the movie
and much better than in Tangerine Dream's soundtrack.
Have producers somehow managed to screw up the sound-
track in the movie, that's only in mono?:((((
