  • Too short.

  • great!

  • she was great

  • rest in peace, she was a true artist!

  • ma creyes

  • i whant to be famous to so i can fuck anyone i like and then later die from an OD on heroin.

if that ain't life, then what is?

  • @87mrks she didnt OD on heroin :S

  • @87mrks She died from alcohol poisoning, you idiot... and if that's all you plan to do with your life, then I hope you get AIDS.

  • Amy Winehouse. The real deal. Boundless talent that crosses decades. No contemporary comes close..... Her passing is a tragic loss to listeners young and old alike.

  • Amy was a voice from past!

I can't explain it until now. If someone has friends, money, fame what needs and what expects from drugs or alcohol. Doesn't fit in my mind!

  • Ha! :38 Is straight up Sarah Vaughan!

  • jools...! stop playing every song in a rhythmic triplet style.... this would have sounded 100times better with a jazz pianist just playing out of tempo harmonies around winehouse.... less is more

  • @slapmyfunkybass If you're talking rhythmic triplet style, that's called swing brother. I am not saying that is a good arrangement, but it's improvisation. Jools is a boogie woogie and rhythm and blues pianist cut him some slack.

  • @ralphbernabe no no my man... swing is triplets, but not all triplets are swing... jools could have played a few jazz harmonies instead.... out of tempo, less is more my friend

  • Jools ain't no George Shearing or Errol Garner is he? But, nice bloke and weeeelll a bit of fun.

  • What a loss! Fucking rediculous..brings tears to my eyes even today.

  • Eu sou metal - raio, relâmpago e trovão

Eu sou metal: eu sou o ouro em seu brasão

Eu sou metal: me sabe o sopro do dragão

  • do'nt know how good she sang, but she were "good girl"!!

    thats, what i know.

  • jools is great.... ;-)

  • I must confess, I love her tenderly

  • yuck

  • haha, MUSE's Matt and Dom are also there :) 0:21

  • one of my favourites performances by her

  • Amy at her most impeccable.

  • Amy could have built on the talent she had and boy did she have it. In the 21st century she is in a league of her own.

  • Raw talent, that's what she was

type in Layefa's wave summer joy

  • How effortless is this, i've tried singing it and her range is so wide. Pity she didn't cover it in full x

  • not many artists can wear more than one hat musically; she was jazz all day long, she was motown all day long, she was british soul interweaved with R & B all day long... she was a genius

  • gone but not forgotten!

  • I feel super mean for saying this but what a waste of talent on her.

  • @hziegler If you dont think she can sing, no female jazz singers can sing or could sing, according to your standards.

  • Simplesmente perfeito! R.I.P

  • Grande voce.. accompagnata malissimo !

  • Mr Holland's boogie woogie playing is inappropriate for this beautiful number. Sung beautifully by the late Amy.

  • Polka arrangement?!? WTF!!!

  • What is Jools doing? You KNOW Amy is great to be able to sing so well with that ham fisted piano playing. His tribute to her is really cool though.

  • I love this because even though this is her Back to Black era, she sang with her

    "Frank" voice...especially with her falsettos

  • @hoodrockho88 My thoughts exactly too! I think she had three voices in her career:

    1. Frank era with high pitched voice full of glee and bursting emotion with very high falsetto. Performance with outward looking at the audience. Trying to make a connection.

    2. Back to Black recording era with low pitched dramatic started notes. Full of emotion but in a held back way, more matured and in some ways always kinda sad. No or little falsetto. Still making connection but drinking starts.

  • @maszlagma count.

    3. Post Back to Black period with either struggling emotions or holding it back completely thus unable to perform. No falsetto and trouble with higher notes. Performance wise always inward looking or distracted (afraid of feelings coming back?). Drinking is usual.

As I loved her I loved all of these voice. Made her a very versatile artist. Terribly missing her...

  • @maszlagma i agree with both of you...another thing that i wanted to point out, is that i like how her singing came to a full circle...jazz then soul and R&B type of melodies, and then back to her jazz roots on Body & Soul, where her falsetto's came back for her last recording

  • @hoodrockho88 Yes, very interesting. I love that recording!

  • @hoodrockho88 you forgot to mention she was moving on to more reggae and ska music

  • @wellie76 thats right with her covers of The Specials songs like Monkey Man, Message to Rudy, Little Rich Girl and Sam Cooke's Cupid...

  • In response to this video.. thank you Amy, however Jools there was no need to over play and try to eclipse this piece and that's exactly what it looked like.. what else could she do but smile and do her bit.. you nit- wit Mr Holland.

  • I'm a 55 yr old jazz player and I think Amy was the best thing to happen to music for 40yrs. But my God was she ever short changed by the awful musicians and often awful arrangements Britain had to offer. I kept expecting some jazz giant to rescue her amazing talent but alas, no. Jools, for the love of God and all things holy DON'T PLAY THE PIANO SON! you are utterly hopeless. That goes for that idiot Jamie (ZA ZA ZA) Cullen too! Ronnie, Vic Feldman, Tubby Hayes, Dudley Moore come back PLEASE!

  • She really was Britain's Jewish Jewel. RIP Amy.

  • Who is this person Massacring the piano????

  • His ending is a classic in its own right !

  • brutalizing.

  • What an awfull piano playing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • miss U baby .....

  • the fact that she could sing such a classic song in a short pick-up version and yet make it sound completely hers, goes to show the great talent she had for singing.

  • @regios4ever The absolute truth. Not easy to pick out that unique reading over that piano line. One in a million.

  • Luv how she holds the mic in this so elegant!! :D

  • true talent

  • still can't believe she's dead. what a waste.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=rsT5NSrnAKw

  • The pianist did a mediocre job but Amy Winehouse sounded fantastic as always, God bless her, she was the Billy Holliday of our era

  • I miss you....

  • shut up already people... she was great love her vibrato!

  • Happy Birthday Amy <3 Fly in Paradise x

  • pinches drogas pendejas

  • Completely unsympathetic playing on Jools' part. He murdered that for her!

  • @benwestonjazz wtf are you smoking ? you watched this and the dude playing was what was rubbish to you ? not the god awefull horrible junkie whore wench sings like eloctucuted cats and lucky if doesnt fall over the stage or throw up during 10 minute set! not the gode awefull worst female voice ever- it was the dude playing you saw as bad? are you tone deaf or complete deaf? if not wtf planet are you from?

  • @ThaiTyBeta Ah yes, the beauty of YouTube. You post a comment and someone trolls it. That's your opinion, which I respect, and I've stated mine. I'm a music teacher and musician (singer & pianist) myself so I'm not actually "tone deaf or completely deaf". I'd like to know if you're familiar with the styles of Sarah Vaughan or Dinah Washington. They're generally regarded as legendary singers with a very similar style to this. I'd like to see you produce something better, I really would.

  • @benwestonjazz aahhh the beauty of you tube also is that so many of you love to lie theres no way your a music expert or professional and an amy winehouse fan, unless like 99 % her fans you like the scumbag media grubbing obnoxious douche antics arrests whoreism and debauchery in general and not her awefull voice at all. but if you had ear for music or musician talented of any kind you could never like the awefull rubbish flawed scrachy mess of a voice of hers. truth- FAIL, u r a liar!

  • #2 if you were a music teacher 1- then you have heard every no talented student come your way had better voice then this junkie 2- you would OF SAID MUSIC TEACHER ON PROFILE 3- THOSE WHO CANT DO TEACH 4- you must be worst musician ever if can even stand `the cat mating screechy scratchy ear pollution of that skanky junkie wenches voice 5- if you werent tone deaf or ride lil bus to school then your a liar 6- you are only pretending to like her put your name on comment so people look at your vids

  • @ThaiTyBeta I give up. This is childish. Obviously you're completely right, how could you not be? You seem like the oracle and everyone else on here must also be idiots. You're the enlightened one. My mistake.

  • @benwestondouche- translation- waving of the white flag... it must suck to never win an argument cause our wrong out of the gate every tme. sucks for you. anyways save any more flailing attempts to try salvage some shred dignity you lost it all first time opened mouth. and compared to most of the people on a amy whorehouse video page? yes i am certainly more sane more rightous more realistic more honest then most commenting here with their lies insanity nb s so eat my azz with spoon stfu

  • @ThaiTyBeta Ha, I think that proves me point far more succinctly than I ever could. Have a good life!

  • @benwestonjazz ha keep flailing away with your pathetic attempts salvage some shred of dignity you lost long ago. and getting the last word a- aint gonna happen ive got far more time then you b- aint ever going help you any fukkin way

  • @ThaiTyBeta A quick Google of my name would see I have a professional, gigging band. Not that it bothers me much if you believe me or not. Many high profile musicians (Tony Bennett, Jamie Cullum, etc) have all praised Amy's voice and work but I suppose you're also going to call them rubbish and presume they don't know what they're talking about. Her albums got 5 star reviews. Very easy to sit in the corner and mock others when you haven't achieved anywhere near what they have.

  • pena qu4e ela se foi daqui mais ela está muito bém na espiritualidade tenho certeza abraço

  • i dont know why... but i get the strange feeling that perhaps this video is sponsored by Apple...No? it's just me? Oh, sorry.

  • I would have loved if she made an album of old standards.

  • The piano player looks just like Shemp Howard.

  • AMY fantastic... JOOLS: that was honky tonk music hall piano, Amy did really well to hold every note there!!

  • This would have been great had Jools realised Amy was singing 'Tenderly' and not 'My Old Man's a Dustman'.

  • @Barnabybright Haha, no shit :) Jools is a great guy but wasn't quite in sink w/ lil Amy.

  • her laugh at the end,<3

  • Piano playing SUCKS!!!

  • she cant be pozitfly in a song couse she s big junkie

  • outstanding

  • 59 seconds and this is the most beautiful song i'v heard her sing.

  • shame Amy couldn't be saved or she didn't want to be saved, big loss for music world and us fans cos she sung straight to people's hearts.R.I.P Amy x

  • We miss you baby, R.I.P

  • We lost an absolute treasure when Amy passed....

  • @sfroesenator Exactly, more than the central bank can hold.

  • @sfroesenator Amen sister.

  • Ha! look at those monkeys in the audience clap - they don't know what they're clappin' for.

  • HEY WORMS ENJOY YOUR MEAL! TEEHEHEHEHEE...WORM FOOD ROTTING CORPSE TEHEHEHEHHE
