On the old digitech effects processor I do believe I add a wee bit of delay. But fiddle till you like your sound. To my mind this things begs for a Tele. I am sure your well loved instrument sounds great too. good luck with your music old chap!
Hi Nico. I play in a band in Nottingham, England. Thanks to your tutorial I can now play The Pusher correctly for the first time in many many years - I used to play it at the open A position like the second part of your riff. It sounds so much more authentic with the capo at 3. I also play a Telecaster. It's an early 80s Blonde and it's been knocked about a bit but it has the lovely twangy sound. It sounds like you've got some echo on yours - any other effects used? Cheers and thanks again.Tim
Thanks so very much for all the kind words. That Tele is one of the best guitars I have every played. That is a special color ordered by the store I bought it from. It is called sunset orange transparent. I bought it sight unseen. It was perfection. Then I put a nice gouge in the top. I had my luthier try to fix it but I still know it's there. Again, thanks and good luck with your music. Nico
Is that a cherry finish? Very nice looking tele man.Love your videos as we have similar taste in music.Am thinking there would be no confusion if you would refer to fret positions as relative to capo.Especially for beginners.Wish you were in KC as I would love to jam. Thanks for taking time to post these vids as I find them really helpful..BTW your little dancing niece is too cute for her own good..lol
i am really sorry, i dont understand the second chord at all, you keep saying that your fingers are strings and i dont get the chord i cant make it right, could you please please explain it to me, i really want to know this song.
You are most welcome HD. Glad you got something out of the lesson and experimented with settings and technique. That is what I like to hear. Thanks for the kinds words and good luck with your music and riding. Nico
Glad you watched and got something out of it. That groove will be in every fiber of my being as long as I live after watching those guys live that crazy summer day at a drive in. Good luck with your music.
Thanks. Good luck with your music.

Good lesson. Thanks. BTW, playing on the bridge pickup and palm muting helped me get closer to the Stepenwolf sound on this song.
