  • CUTE

  • Worm snakes are indeed pretty cute.

  • It looks rather like rather a Texas thread snake than a Brahminy blind

  • I've never tried keeping one as a pet and do not know the challenges in trying to do so. I do encounter them once every few months and I love filming them.

Their prey include termites and other small larva. I do not believe they are venomous but I am no snake expert so I would suggest admiring them while respecting their tiny existence from a safe distance. Which for them is just a few inches away as they are so small. ; )

  • i just found one right now 9/10/2011 at 11:32 pm a my back yard i was drinking and playing with my kids and my oldest son told me, i found a worm, and then when isaw it. It was a really small snake we live in san antonio tx. zip code 78225. Just one ? is it venemous?

  • San Antonio,TX

  • I live in San Antonio, TX and I see them quite often here. I'm originally from the Rio Grande Valley in TX and I've never seen one down there.

I'm about to upload an even better video where you can see the tiny snake flicking it's little tongue to taste the surrounding air.

  • @namtek1 i founf one here in brownsville tx should i let it go???

  • what state did you find this snake in???

  • aww adorable, but the song made it ten times more adorable, looks like alittle blind snake or a worm snake

  • we always see these on our backyard..but theyre black.. o.O

  • They eat small insect larva. And they can grow to be about 12 inches long. The biggest I've seen so far is around 7in.

  • i found one of these! what do they eat? do they grow bigger?

  • Beautiful little girl... I wish I could find one in Utah, but I doubt it.

  • are they asexual? how do they reproduce if they are only female?

  • your lucky to be around where these little guys live i live in edmonton we have a few garter snakes but thats it

  • aww its cute =]. i saw one before, but it went into a hole before i can actually see it.

  • can it bite you?

  • I've a vid of the same. I still feel horrible about the 1st one I ran across a few years ago. I killed it to feed a bird, thinking it was a worm. I feel like a murderer!

  • what is the name of the song ?

  • @Aterkomsten I'm not sure what the name of the song is unfortunately. It was a general song I chose while first uploading the video to YouTube.

  • @Aterkomsten LOL! They really do look like earthworms... that have gone haywire! I'm sure the bird enjoyed it!

  • @Aterkomsten Musicshake - Dawn Fog

  • all its saying is: get me the hell out of here u huge bastered!!!!!!

  • @sasusakulover0111 it can't see retard

  • eww my mom just kill one that was in our house, it had scare the shit out of me when i went into kitchen i almost step on it but something told me to look down then i scream and ran to my mommy lol

  • actually, depending of the specie, there can exists males & females blind snakes, exists other blind snake species like the "tiesto snake" where all the ones are females.

  • i've never seen a flesh colored brahimny blind snake yet. all i catch are black

  • @geomango20 i found one that is purple, thought im lucky.

  • Not a worm look at the scales.

  • eh just looks like a worm

  • it does look like a worm but i did a book report about snakes and i know thats a thread snake

  • We have those in Hawaii too but they're black. They have the cutest little tongues too if you look close enough.

  • Dunno y but i think it cute :D

  • burn your clothes.

  • Giant Pinky?

  • just as the summer started i found 4 or 5 of them. 2 of them were over 7 1/2 inches long. they were under the same rock too. i was super surprised to find them.

  • I agree ChaosBW....asexual does sound like the appropriate term for describing these creatures. I was just paraphrasing.

  • did you ever tried to feed it...?

  • @namtek1 only one species of earth snakes are asexsual parthenogenetic (Ramphotyphlops braminu ) other species are sexsual.

  • blind snakes not earth snakes

  • @ChaosBW or hermaphrodite

  • @kade677 correct, I made that comment a long time ago and didn't think of that, also there is many creatures in nature that are all female and can change gender when needed., I'm deleting my old comment for that reason.

  • @ChaosBW okay lol

  • Yeah I thought it was an earthworm first, but now I can tell it's not ;)

  • the music is so moving, um, I wanted to say, there are many legends, of different kinds of babies, in tai land, the ladies are reported to birth jewels, in my part amazonian aka gypsy culture, I have been aware to the fact of women producing baby blind snakes, and in tibet they worship earth worms as their mother.

  • hey i found one today in florida in a near by golf course and its blue thats right blue i will have a video soon

  • INSIDE your house? where do you live?

  • I found this snake in my computer room. I was on the floor playing with my dogs when I felt something tickle the inner part of my right knee. I'm not sure how it got inside. I've heard from other people who've encountered 4 or 5 of these little snakes inside their house at a time. Fortunetly, this is the only one I've come across inside my house.

  • I caught 1 but I donno what to feed it with. I tried ants larvae but it doent eat.

Any idea what else i can feed it with???

Suggest something that i can look for easily... thanks... =)
