I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think she's ripping Cat Power off. Most of her music is too vibrant. Cat Power couldn't do 'mushaboom', for instance. Feist is a lot more vocal. I may be wrong, though.

cat power has been performing since 1995, feist has been out since '91, so if anyone is copying the other, it's Cat Power. I don't think they're that similar though, I find I have to be in a really shitty mood to listen to cat power, when I listen to Feist though, her music seems to make me happy. she's so original and amazingly talented

Cat Power released her first album on 95 but she has been on tour since 90.
