@GOREDO5 No offense, but people can compare what they want to what they want. If you don't like it, you can easily ignore. And I think it's highly more annoying to see whining defensive fans like yourself going around on youtube videos complaining about it, but I don't myself whine about that.
I am glad I am the first person to comment this in a year. I love fever ray and the knife they are original I am glad I was here before this goes mainstream.
This song makes me feel more human, and the video simply increases the strength of effect. Humans are animals...I get sad when it cuts off though.... like an orgasm cut short due to extraneous circumstances
I really think this song is about children being naive to the religions their parents forcefeed them. "I know it, I think I know it from a hymn... They said so - it doesn't need an explanation!" However, using this eccentric elderly woman in the place of a child is very effective in conveying the message that you really aren't free to be who you want to be until you're mentally mature and free of outside influences. Also, along with the religion idea, this video takes place in a manger... :P
I used to think these dark elements were just designed to shock and set the personna.....but i'm beginning to believe alot of this strange frequency that they create both visually and sonically, is in fact streaming directly from her muse. (they if we're talking about the knife) Personally, i love the video and i'm a major perfectionist. There's this perfect duality of old meets young, jaded meets innocent with the signature fever ray eeriness. Would love to collaborate one day Karin. -ELEAZAR-
Fake Plastic Trees syndrome- gorgeous song set to the most god awful imagery. I hope the producers of this horrific video are homeless because they hired total hacks to pull off the vision Fever Ray had in mind. Porno-quality at best.
Oh my but Fever Ray gives me the most delicious chills! Sometimes I feel like, when listening to their music, that they know something no one else does...
umm.. isn't this suppose to be an area to comment about the VIDEO... ??? What's with everyone comparing this music artist to others.. What does that have to do with this video?? NOTHING..
@joysee87 In all technicality, it is definitely about the video because it is the opinion of the poster which has been inspired by the video. If they are comparing it to other sounds, it is still about the description of what the video means to them.
@bubatub First off, by comparing Fever Ray to Reznor, you have 'shit' on evolution. Karin is nothing like Reznor, because whereas Karin is awesome, Reznor is shite (and I'm being generous).
I don't know how people could be dumb enough to compare Reznor (or anything Reznor does) to Fever Ray. Fever Ray is not only so beyond Reznor's sexploitative-curse-word-filled-FAILdustrial-music, its not even in the same genre (given Fever Ray's synthpop-gothic-electronica style...).
@datamon21 Haha whatever. Fever Ray uses synth pop influences as did Reznor and they have similar production styles. Sure the SONGS are far different but musically there are similarities. That aside, calm the fuck down. You're just a zero like the rest of us buddy or ma'am.
True Art is never a product of it's environment, it is a non-compromise creation. Well, everything is a product of something else, some are going to say, and they will be right. But some things have more than just "the top of the iceberg" involved into their creation.
Every time I see a new The Knife or Fever Ray video I hope for a new "What Else Is There" video. Sadly I'm beginning to realise it will never be equaled.
rather than dressing Karin up with make up to look older
some of the synth melodies for this song remind me of the sound Tangerine Dream did for the score to a film that came out on the mid 1980's called "Heartbreakers"
im glad with this new single i relly hope the next one ill b I'M NOT DONE n give as a really wierd video but original bty shes coming to chicago n ill b there of course
@JERBERJONES As much as I love the Knife i'd have to agree with you. Fever Ray is far more focused and coherent where the knife was kind of all over the place.

My generic side says that this is what it would sound like if Trent Reznor and Bjork fucked and had a kid.
My real side says this is original, which it is. Its brilliant music.
Dont get me wrong, Reznor and Bjork are amazing. This is where that form of music is headed.
Dont shit on evolution. Embrace it.
