@falige I totally didn't until my friend pointed it out. I'm guessing most people probably missed it, too, so I think your comment deserves several thumbs, good sir.
How can one person compose all these crazy guitar lines and remember how to play this? Jazz, and Classical together? Oh shit, this sounds like musical war here.
Anyways I can't even find words to describe how timeless this sounds.
A throwback to the better days of musical and psychological experimentation. I listened to this on acid and the key signature changes nearly made me shit my pants. This song is SCARY! :)
@dankycronic420 unless you take account of the multitude of progdeath metal bands that are mainly jazz influenced .. cynic, spiral architect, exivious etc..
Chris Arp........this song...is fucking unbelievable. Like, I literally refuse to believe that I'm actually hearing it, and that I'm dead and just wishing that I could actually hear something like this.
Saw these guys live with Athiest, I didnt particularly like their music, but the guys were pretty cool people and arpmandude is pretty funny, this song is alright
It's ok man, people who like this type of music are really just amazed by the range of notes played, the rate they're played at, the time signatures they're played at, and how tightly played they are by the entire band. It's an acquired taste.
10 bucks to anyone who feels like tabbing this out of guitar pro or power tab (or tuxguitar) with all the instruments and sending the file to me! I'd pay sooooo much more but I'm poor :[
The fuck? It's an expression. God, youtube faggots these days making stupid ass assumptions. Stick your toungue in your asshole and leave it there, don't come to me with that shit.
dude, insulting you is a waste. kind of like you. a waste of sperm. your parents must have been so damn upset when YOU were born instead of the respectable human they were hoping for. just leave this vid alone, because to be perfectly honest, asswipes like you don't deserve to hear music as amazing as PsyOpus.
yes maybe compared to Bach Schostakovich sounds atonal, but in fact he isn't, his music is deeply rooted in the classical harmony style, Schostakovich with Prokofiev, Stravinsky, etc. is part of a neo-classical movement which is not strictly atonal.
late Scriabin is even more atonal than Schostakovich, not to mention that Schostakovich is very very polyphonically oriented...(24 preludes and fugues for piano), he just uses the classical harmony in more peculiar way
its one of their fans, theres a violin, cello, and classical guitar, and they're all played by friends/fans/people who have them as a friend on myspace, as they posted a bulletin saying they were looking for people to do those parts, then the lead electric guitar is of course arp.
adam was amazing in every way in my opinion. but i liked our puzzling encounters considered over all because it had a more experimental sound i think.
i agree, i don't remember if adam did the first album or not but everything about the second was great. the music sounded way better in my opinion, vocals were great (even if they were synthesized, idk) and it seems like no matter how many times you listen to it there's always something new to hear in the songs. like just the other day, and i bet i sound retarded, i heard an echo in part of "the pig keepers daughter" that i never noticed before even after a few months of having the CD
i agree. i thought he did, he improved greatly in the second album though. not the best vocalist, but when it comes to psyopus he seems to fit in well for some reason
This is fucking sick, never heard them play like this before.. the only songs that sound kind of like this are Death I, Siobhanis song, and a little bit of Kill us... I need to buy this CD
