The timer doesn't start when the light goes green. That's only for reaction time. The timer only starts once the front wheels pass the beam. Hope that helps.

The clutch was fine but the diff was not. That's why only one wheel was spinning and the other wasn't. Once we pulled it apart and rebuilt the stock diff with better clutches it was good to go. In regards to the Kooks Boss setup we do indeed have that setup available. Please feel free to give us a call if there's anything else we can help you with.

@Lethalcamp or the fact that its a torsen differential wont spin both tires unless you load it correctly and if you had a blown up T-lok it woulda spun at least one tire to the 60 foot mark. NIce job on gettin a boss 302 to go 10 sec's on a 150 shot with one cold tire though. About the only impressive thing about your whole build. SMH.

We don't have a Torsen in our car. It's just the standard eaton lsd. We bought the car already built without the Recaro seats or Torsen option. As far as whether you're impressed or not we don't care. Thanks for sharing though.

The point of the car is to drive it just like any other car unless there's a special use that you know of that we're forgetting about? You also don't have much experience with racing as you would know that when you beat on a car at the track they break. You make it seem as if we knew the diff was going out before we took it out there. This was the 2nd pass down the 1/4 that this car had ever seen. You might learn a thing or two if you stopped hating and just watched.

@supra1100hp A Torsen diff is great for street driving and road racing, but if they are going to drag the car often, there are many better choices. Torsens dont stand up very well to repeated drag strip abuse. As for them choosing whats the right or wrong way to running a ET, who the hell are you to judge that they did it "the wrong way"?

been following your videos for a while now, really nice work you guys do. question, tree light turns green and ive noticed some lag at the launch. any reason why? and how does the timer work? is it in junction with the green light or separate?

The only thing you get by launching faster when the light turns green is a better reaction time. It's got nothing to do with the actual time of the run as the timer doesn't start until the front tires pass the beam. In this case since we're not racing anyone we really don't pay too much attention to the reaction time as again it doesn't affect the run whatsoever. Hope that explains it a little better.

That's not an option for the standard Boss. Only the Laguna Seca comes with the Torsen.

I don't think so, I ordered mine here in Canada with the recaro seats and the torsen lsd diff. The torsen diff isn't reserved to the LS edition, as well for the recaro seats that you did not have in the vids with Vaughn Gittin jr.

Aniway, nice car, can't wait for the 5.0 publication to see what you put in the car to make it go in the 10's. I just hope is naturally aspirated again, without nitrous. It doesn't sounds like its turbo or supercharged too.

In the US the Torsen isn't an option for the regular 500A build. It's only offered standard on the Laguna Seca model. The Recaro seats are available for the 500A but since we purchased it after it was already built we didn't have that choice.
