Love the B&G, you can teach them so much when they are young.I would love to have a baby one. Ours is in her forty's. We have had her about ten years, she's learned some but I don't think any one taught her anything when she was young.

Thank you, Ivy is quite a card. He is only about 12 and Harlie is only 9yrs. She doesn't talk a lot. We have a third BG also named Tequila. She doesn't speak well either. But we enjoy them just the same.

Sadly that may be true. Several of the origional owners talked to their birds like that. We don't use those words here.

After a while they all stop saying it. Sometimes it takes a couple years but eventually they stop. Especially if you stand there and gently say something nice instead.

Thats because it is a place where all the unwanted birds people buy and throw them away to. And we have about 30 volunteers that out of the kindness of their heart come to play and talk to them so they dont get put to sleep like all them dogs and cats people throw away at the animal shelter.

Unfortunately every one of these birds were homeless and unwanted after a human made them a captive pet for a while and didn't want them any more.

They will always have a place here.
