I had 91 1.8 ltr non turbo model. It still kicked alot of tail. DSM turbo or non- turbo both built well. I got it in '96 and embarassed so many v-6s and a few v-8s due to power to weight and such. 38 mpg was nice also.

I never found anything beyond a geo metro 3cyl my 1.8 could outrun.

The 1.8's have like 50whp... you definitely werent outrunning v6's, let alone v8's.

The 1.8's are only good for reliability and gas mileage.
