The Wild Wasteland Perk is one of the perks that you can choose to have right at the start of the game where there is a good thing about that perk but there is also a bad thing and you can choose up to to out of 7 or 8

btw you cannot change these perks after level 2 so if u want the a\lien blaster start again :( sorry

dude, try using an accurate weapon instead of just spraying rounds all over the place. Also, i dont know what your weapons skills are, but the Alien Blaster doesnt appear to be very powerful in its stats. Damage 72, DPS 429 isnt the most powerful ive seen. The mercs nearby, which were still alive when i found them, before i shot them. One of them had a YCS/186, which is basically the Gauss Rifle from Fallout 3. It has Damage 147, DPS 495.

Its a real shame im unable to explore the wasteland for things like that because i dropped and lost my vault 13 canteen and so im living off water i pick up like dirty water, purified water... and out there on HC mode the poor old courier gets thirsty a lot. FOD aint a prob cuz of so many npc's around but water's a b**ch..

@steyie the best sniper rifle in the game is located at the snipers nest, but you have to have a lockpic skill of 100. i was told there was a key but dont know where it is. {anti-material rifle} is really good but the one im talking about has gold cameo. pretty badass looking. there is also the rat slayer in broc flower cave. night vision scope on it. {my second fav gun}

if you repair them together they are in ok condition.

also in vault 34s armary: a unique Marksman carbine called All-Amercan (i love that gun), a normal makesman carbine, 2 assault carbines , a minigun, riot shotgun, 10mm pistols (10 of em) 2 grenade rifles, 3 C4 plastic explosives, a C4 detonator, and a bunch o 10mm SMGs. and ammo for all.

@3L1T3N1NJA yes you can get wild wasteland at the start you just need to meet the requirements which i cant remember i think they are perception because i (start all my fallout games with a very high perception of 7-8 because im a marksman and) mainly use scoped weapons and attack from very far away.
