Give Chevy credit for singing in his own natural voice. Too often, subsequently, I would hear him sing too brassy (in "Caddyshack") or exaggerated basso profundo (in "Fletch Lives" or "The Three Amigos," where Steve Martin and Martin Short outsing him). If he can just sing naturally, then he would have a fine voice like many of his comic colleagues like Goldie Hawn, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and company.
