I'm disappointed he used steroids, just like any other Yankees fan, but the past is past. Tons more players have used and haven't been outed, and tons more players WILL use, it's the nature of the beast. Back in the 50s and 60s it was greenies and scuffing balls.....anything to get an edge. Now it's steroids. Maybe in the next 100 years it'll be extra arms, who knows.

Many reasons. For starters, steroids are everywhere. Guys at my local gym are on them. Steroid use in baseball has been around since the 1800s (it's documented). Alex took them because not only did he feel the pressure, but my guess is that he wanted to level the playing field. If you see everyone else taking them, you want the athletic edge to stay on top.
