@billiethekydd -- Good for you - honestly! As a former teacher, and someone who moved from one part of the country to another at 13, the early teen years appear more stressful for your generation than mine. Keep it up, and your individuality -- they're important.
NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR AGE GOD DAMNED YOU PEOPLE ARE INSANE STOP BOTHERING THE INTERNET WITH YOU AGE AND MUSICAL PREFERENCES! You hipster teenagers burn in hell!
@BeNzMoVeMeNt Old man complex right here! Shit! If the young kids of this generation love this music than we should encourage them to keep this type of music alive!
Joy? I'm planning a funeral. Think People. "I'm going where the weather suits my clothes? "Everybody's talkin' bout me - I can't see their faces, only a shadow on their mind - I won't let you leave my love behind? Chorus: I'm going where the sun keeps shinin', through the pouring rain? Not California, guys. Maybe "The Deadtake" get it! Sorry, really planning a funeral here.
For me one of the truly lasting things about this song and movie (I saw it as a teenager when it first opened in Westwood, California) was that it led me directly to the singer songwriter who composed it: Fred Neil. I've been listening to him ever since lo these last 45 years. Check him out here on You Tube
Died too young. Heavy drinker, one of the culprits and best friend of John Lennon on Lennon's notorious "Lost Weekend" '73-74 when Yoko sent John away!! They were both outta their heads most of the time.
A great song from a great movie about a hustler [male prostitute] who befriends a handicapped older dude. They both dream of moving to Miami and only the young hustler gets to realise his dream .
I'm putting this music in my new movie This Is Your Life, Its a song that actually expresses how one feels, especially when the singer says" I will never let you leave".
FA Production was created to rmember the old things and letting it stay as long as the Earth still spins
This song was written and recorded before I was born, it's great, Scotty should have sang it tonite on Idol, like he started to. Paul would sound AWESOME on this.
I'm a woman of a "certain age"...... also 58. I remember this song very well and thank you for taking me down memory lane to a better place in time. Rock on "classicvinylbiz"
@billiethekydd I'm with you. I'm fourteen as well and I think this song is beautiful. I try to show this to my friends and they look at me like I'm insane and put on some crappy new song. Keep rockin and know that there's others out there who are your age and who get what you mean (:
I'm so glad this song doesn't remind me of any movie or tv programme but gathers my own memories in my head. I heard this because my brother was listening to it in his car. What a brilliant song.
It is Jan. 21st in Toronto, Canada the weather is bitterly cold. In the subway during rush hour were two men singing this song and playing guitars. " I'm going where the weather suits my clothes...where the sun keeps shining...."
Thanks for uploading this video. Much Appreciated.
Oh how I love this song! Such an amazing song!! This song takes me back to days of true happiness and innocence. I miss those days. My heart just aches for those days so much! What a time that was! Never to be forgotten! There was a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is a real shame. This song is pure magic in itself! Missing those days but hold the memories in my heart forever!! ♥♥
@awesomeeras131 I Know just what you mean...it's the same for me, once you have magic in your life everything beyond that time is dull and gray. I'll take the 60's any day.
Great videos! I've loved Classic Rock since I was 3. Mom showed me The Beatles- Yellow Submarine cartoon movie. And I got hooked. Been listening/watching Classic Rock ever since. Now I'm 17 and people in my age group thing it's "crappy, shitty, gay" music. Personally I think they have a bad taste in music, somewhat. Specially If they dont' like The Beatles!! Or Chuck Berry for that matter!

@michaelmail hahaha my dad is about ur age nd he has the same exact story about midnight cowboy :) i love without you too , bt ppl often forget tht it wasn't a nilsson song it was a badfinger song , ha, even mariah carey herself credited nilsson for the song nd failed to mention badfinger :) x
@michaelmail I find this scene in my head many times working with elderly psych patients -- always afraid that they will die alone. I recently found out that an old dear friend adn lover died this way. Sadness anew.

Everybody's talking at me
I don't hear a word they're saying
Only the echoes of my mind
People stopping, staring
I can't see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes
