I followed tutorial from start and when i selected jungle the key you were hitting for a that snare noise, the same key on mine was like a tom or a bongo sound. Do you know why this may be? Is it possible someone before me altered the sounds for d06 JGL ( jungle)
@DjDannyOsvaldo i thought the same thing! use the octave buttons to move thru the whole library. from kicks in -4 all the way up to sound effects stuff at +4
Thank you soooo much! I literally had given up on my groovebox! Ive had it since the 90's and thanks to you now know how to use the drum machine feature, LOL!
This is still the most helpfull MC 303 vid on youtube, it helped me out so much about 18 months ago when i first got one, then i sold it as i fell in love with electribes, but this makes me wanna buy one again . . . . .
This video was very helpful. I was making beats literally out of the box when my MC 303 arrived in the mail. Take a look at my channel and let me know what you think. Working on a jungle tune I'll upload soon!
I used to have one of these! I could program fast, then I switched to a Yamaha RM1X and forgot how to program on the 303. lol I made a video like this on the RM1X, it's not easy to program at first either. Keep it up Bro! Great How To drjackohollious!!!!
i can not seem to get the recording quantize to work...any clues on that? I can see how it works in playing back a rhythm, but not while recording it...
dont suppose you know how to hook up this maching to run with Logic pro 8 do you? i've recently dug my groove box out from under my bed becasuse i want to use it with some modern projects
fantastic man, but do you know how to drop that synth in later. So like, once you've finished recording all the different synths and beats, how do you control when each new sound begins?
@xanthrax13 the synth and all of the drums are on different assignable buttons below the knobs. You can controll what is on and off and when they come on or off.
I am sure you can select other drum sounds without keep stopping and starting. Just hold shift while you press the key you want, while you hold shift it wont record it just plays the sound so you can select. Its been a while but I am sure thats correct.

how would you save and/or delete a pattern you've made?
owenhsiaomusic 7 months ago
You know what would've been easy, if you just turned the movie upside-down so you don't have to look in a mirror-mode ;)
Going to hook up my device right not, lets see what this baby can do! :)

sweet. im new to it. i will try that.
drjackohollious 2 years ago
@scheller00 Yeah that's right, you can shift between sounds on the rhythm part by holding shift - no need to stop the pattern.

Nice video. Do you know where I could get the 303's internal battery replaced?
Carlo1Brito 2 years ago
No I dont, but i would like to find out. I was afraid to start making lots of user patterns because of the internal battery issue.
drjackohollious 2 years ago
Same here. Thanks anyways.
