Why did it have amfleets?

I am guessing that Amtrak was running short on Surfliner cars so they brought these in to service.

@FanOfthePADRES411 No, the onboard crowds have nothing to do with the use of the Amfleets during Thanksgiving. The Surfliners sell out during thanksgiving, Amtrak cannot add enough equipment no matter what. The factor determining the usage of Amfleets during Thanksgiving has more to do with equipment availability than crowds, and the last 4 years Amtrak has need low levels elsewhere but has been able to save enough Superliners to make all the Surfliner sets bilevels.
