  • english is just to soft for this song

starting in germany and ending in russia

evry cunty between those 2 are a liddel bit better in this case <3

  • They aren't mistranslations- she/he is polish (karimeru I mean).

  • Actually, instead of "Yes, awesome, we're going to have influences," the infamous Google Translate suggests "Yeah, well, we will have revenues." Not much better, but at least now I think I might get where this is going.

  • Um... some serious mistranslations.

1:40 "Yes, awesome, we're going to have influences." That is about as funny as "All your base."

"Here is our plan and flash of our fangs." Probably not a mistranslation, but I don't have a clue what they are really trying to say.

Nice to see the translation though =).

  • "zamach sezonu" - means the assassination of the season, not season of assassination...

But I love it anyways... only russian version is comparable.

  • scar is so sexy :D

  • Me too (especially, that he said "I'm a gay and it's normal like the sun shine), but it's my first time, when I'm scar the gay :D

  • Hey, do you know that actor (Marek Barbasiewicz) is a... gay?

  • @TaddeoKaimakan

    Yes, I know and... I don't care

  • this and the japanese version is really good the german version is ok i guess, scar no matter what language he sings in he is a totel badass.

  • 2:18 hyenas are singing

    (Wreszcie cud!)

    Finally miracle!

    (Minie głód!)

    Hungry will pass!

    (Przyjmij nas!)

    Assume us!

    (Do swych łask!)

    To your graces!

  • @Q36BN you are weak, polish version is the best !!

  • personaly i find the dutch one the best

  • Listen with ears.

    Ok then Scar.

  • THIS SONG RULES!! I LOVE LION KING!! :DD

By the way (I'm Polish), I'm suprised to see how many people like Polish language. It's nice to hear it :)

  • this version is really powerful too - similar to the german one, i think.

  • Yeah! Polish version is the best! Another songs are so soft (except Japanese)

  • Assuming the translation was right, Scar actually seems to have smarter lines in this version than the original. "Intellect, well, it's a pity of words" got me smiling. He also seems to have a great voice.

  • Comment removed

  • shenzi's voice is awesome in this version

  • YO!!! I'm going through a Hetalia phase an AH GOD!!! QAQ WARSAW TO THE MAX!!!! and the voice was SEXY~ <3

  • lol

    i like Poland

they say dumbasses in G movies 8D

  • "Listen with ears"

....what else would they listen with?

  • @WolfPawDragonClaw In Polish it's proverb, that means you have to listen more carefully and you will understand.

  • @Omnibara Oh, okay! Thanks! =D

  • 2:18 - 2:25 tam hieny śpiewają: Wreszcie cud, minie głód. Przyjmij nas do swych łask.

  • wg mnie ogólnie polski dubbing do czarnych charakterów jest genialny (posłuchajcie sobie np. irenicusa z baldur's gate :))

  • COZA ASY!!

  • @JienTheBest Indeed he did :).

  • like the laugh at the end a lot :D it really sound evil >:)

  • Polish seems like a very hard language to learn, but that's what makes it cool!

  • @fadingcoIors It is an extremely hard language to learn!

  • XXNARUTO1234567890 'i' means 'and'

  • Lol he actually called the Hyenas dumbasses? Sounds a bit inappropiate for a kiddie's movie XD

  • Im a polish american and I must say I much prefer listening to the polish version of a song/movie whenever possible :) I'm a lot better with english unfortunately but polish is one of my favourite languages. Greating voicing, whoever did Scar in this edition- he had that delectable polski accent but also had a cruel kind of singing voice- perfect for Scar.

  • dammit, it scared me!! polish version is so cruel... :) Cool!

  • XD The word dumbasses in a Disney movie.

  • Comment removed

  • hehe..he said dumbasses xD

*cough* immaturity aside, this is an excellent dub and the voice is just spot on!

  • the where acouple of words that im not sure the translations where acuete polish translation

  • Codswallop!! Paha I like this version :D

  • Sorry ale to twoje tłumaczenie woła o pomstę do nieba!: "Bowiem czeka was zamach sezonu" i tu chodzi o zamach stanu, przewrót albo pucz (coup d'état) a nie zamach terrorystyczny lub skrytobójstwo (assassination )

Powinno być: "Because season of coup waits for us"

A nie: "Because season of assassination waits for us"

  • Comment removed

"you dont have penny worth imagination" gdzie powinno byc cnajmniej "you dont have a penny worth imagionation" a jeszcze lepiej "your imagination is not worth a penny"

lub slowka "the" np. powinno byc "here is our plan and THE flash of our fangs"

  • "I'll force you to work soon because I am a king. I'm not talking a load of codswallop to you. Honours are waiting behind door/doors. They belong to me who else? But by my side you'll earn as well!"

  • I think this is the only version I've heard so far where at 2:38 you can hear the trio's distinctive voices.

  • German version is good too, but Marek Barbasiewicz is the best :D

  • Did Scar actually call the hyenas dumbasses? Awesome!

  • The Polish version is definitely best--I only wish Jeremy Irons was fluent in Polish, because that version would be unquestionably magnificent.

  • God, I've seen a so weird language o_o. I mean, it's impossible to me to sing it. But this is so interesting that I wan't to learn how to pronounce it !! One more language that I wan't to learn O_O.

  • Polish Scar is the best. He has this evil but charming sound at the same time, greetings from finland.

Im not meaning to be rude and im sorry if i offend someone, but he sounds like an angry soviet commissar in the beginning :D

  • I listened to the polish version, because many say, that it's the best besides english or german. I still like the german version best because of the strength of scars voice and the lyrics, followed by the english, where the lyrics are simmilar to german and the voice isn't bad either. I was a lil bit disappointed by this =/ Scar doesn't sound as evil and mad than in the german version...

    only my opinion ;D

  • Hehe, true, but that's the beauty of the language (for some :)

  • i wanna learn polish xD!!!..any version of diz song r gr8!.. me enmkanta de pana y todo.bello

  • Polish is so weird!

  • @shcskl you are weird

  • @shcskl Strange it is you are here you won't be offending my native tongue!!!!!!!

  • hehe,Nagrody not Nagordy xDDD

  • wow, probablly the best one I've heard so far.

  • Durrrrnie! ... Wow! I Polský Scar je dobrý! Více zlý než český! Ale český se zdá mazanější... ... (ermm.. Polish Scar is also great! More evil then the czech one! But the czech ine seems more cunning...)

  • If somebody want to learn Polish , I will help . Write to me. Polish version of this song is full of power.

  • Yes, I do agree with you! I think that Scar's voice is the most beautiful from all the versions. I'm Pole but it isn't only my subjective opinion as I see. :)

  • At 1:19 is my favorite part of this version!!The voices of the hyenes are too cute when they say la la la la !!haha :P

  • I love that song. But I'm afraid Polish version is the best. I love Jeremy's voice but he can't sing as well as polish one Skaza. And you're wrigh GinaG83, "durnie" means "fools" in english :)

  • I think 'dumbasses' is one of the proper options for translating the word 'durnie'. Remember that in the original, there was 'idiots', which is much stronger than 'dumbasses' :) Anyways, very nice translation and one of the best versions of this song :) Also love the German one.

    Greetings from Poland!

  • @00AwesomeOne00 I personally think "moron" or "fool" would be a better translation. It's not really considered to be a swear word as far as I know.

  • @EpicBacon I'd agree for 'fools' but not really for 'morons.' Although it's not exactly a swear word, it's still very strong. A bit to strong for my taste. But as I said, 'dumbasses' is one of the options, not something I'd fight for :P

  • @00AwesomeOne00 Well it's not like a movie would be warned for language if the word "durnie" was frequently used. Any translation that insulted one's intelligence would work, really. But I think "dumbasses" was a little misleading, personally.

Oh, and I'd like to say that your language is impossible to learn, really it is. I attempted to learn it for two weeks and I just FAILED. It looks like typing random characters. =P Oh why do the hard languages have to be so appealing towards me? X.X

  • @EpicBacon Lol, you have no idea how many times I have heard that in my life :D I agree, Polish is insanely hard to learn for any foreigners. Basically everything inflects, not to mention pronunciation and ortography (e.g. both "u" and "ó" characters are long "oo" sound etc.) :) English or Spanish are really piece of cake when compared to it. But on the other hand, it's very fluid and full of melody. but hey, there are harder languages, try Finnish or Hungarian. These are real pain :D

  • @00AwesomeOne00 It's pretty funny; really, a lot of people here say that English is "the hardest language in the world" but ieveryone who claims that has English as their native language. XD

It seems to me that cultures like to brag about the "difficulty" of their mother tongues.

A lot of the time I feel that our education should be like yours, it should make us become bilingual. I mean, I feel pathetic that I just know English and nothing else. :P

Eh, Icelandic's probably harder than those.

  • @EpicBacon Oh yeah, forgot about Icelandic :S good point. Hey, there's no obstacles for you to learn other languages. Some are hard but not unlearnable :D You're in a better position since English is close to "lingua franca" of our world nowadays. But if you pick up Spanish as your second language, the world is yours. You'll be able to comunicate everywhere. Next is French, and perhaps German (useful in Europe dunno whether you're Brit, american, Aussie or other :P)

  • @00AwesomeOne00 Ugh, I cannot stand the Spanish language personally. =P

I would would definitely rather study Icelandic than that language. And for we personally, there is no need to know any language besides English.

Do you know anything else besides Polish and English?

  • @EpicBacon I have basics of Spanish and German. I can't stand German for a bit but I'm planning on furthering my Spanish skills. I'm an English teacher, a linguistic soul, I can't help it :P

  • Polish dubbing is the Best!!!

  • @maniekboy CZECH DUBBING IS BETTER!!!!!!

  • @terkazwiefelhoferova

czech sounds for the polish ear somekind cute :)

  • @maniekboy It isbut ONLY in god, old Disney movies. If you could see all new crap... But Lion King is my favourite one and dubbing is just great :)

  • I love the part where he taunts the intelligence of the hyenas. "Strain your brains just a little... do I request too much or not?" It's just so perfect Scar dialogue!

  • LMAO @ dumbasses (1:21)

  • @Zazuthehornbill xD DOOORRRRNYEEEEAH means Dumbasses xD

  • Did he really say "Dumb asses"? Is cursing more acceptable in Polish culture? Just seems odd that that word would be in a kid's film.

  • OMG really ....I didn't see this DUMBASSES

Of course that he didn't say that, HE said DURNIE

and it's mean "fools" or "dumb"

This guy translated it too hard.....Sorry

  • durnie is kinda of more harsh than fools, i'd consider it as dumbasses

  • I this GinaG38 is correct, it does mean fools, but I agree with you as well, that it's used in a stronger sense... so I wouldn't go so far as dumbasses... but more like imbeciles.

  • durnie can also mean "fools"

  • I like his voice in polish, and anyway, as a hungarian I just love polish stuff

  • Scar is sexy xD

  • całkiem niezłe te tłumaczenia, ale IMHO zbyt dosłowne... gdyby użyć kilku idiomów, było by pierwsza klasa :)

    ale i tak duży szacun

  • I really want to konw how this "szcz" is pelled!

  • Sz- like Shout and "cz" -like champion. :)

  • Ah, ten Skaza xD

  • Skaza jest fajny,,, xD

  • Not bad! As good as finnish version! ( I am from Finland)

  • I understand Scar. I have exactly the same feelings about bad school marks.

  • Icelandic, Polish, Hungarian, Czech... how difficult languages to read!!!

  • Maybe a little :)

Tak w oóle to uwielbiam tą bajkę i tą piosenkę :)

  • what about Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian?

Zajebiscie.

  • what does "i" mean?

  • And :)

  • the same as russian "and" XD

  • Comment removed

  • Polish is definitely one of the most tongue-twisting languages I've ever heard in my life; the excessive dz" "sz", "cz", "rz" and "szcz"'s is enough to drive one mad.

  • It is :P

In some other slavic languages there are also "sz" "dż" "szcz" etc. And Hungarian is quite difficult in my opinion. :P

  • Comment removed

  • I agree (I've taken Russian), but Polish uses all the above more often than any of its siblings. Hungarian is an entirely different matter.

  • I think French is much more tongue-twisting, and it's damn hard to pronounce it well xD

  • and xD

  • What does "tchu" mean?

  • breath

  • Thank you!

  • najlepszy jest koniec kiedy widać S... s... s... Skaza? cholera, jak on tam miał XD nevermind... I ten śmiech... ciarki przechodzą =D

  • Skaza

  • On się nazywał Skaza.

  • Jaki fircyk 8D

  • Na 0:58 zamiast ''when what I dream about will come true'' powinno byc po prostu ''When my dreams come true''

  • Lol Dumbasses there will be a different king!

  • ale nasz skaza miał seksowny głos mrau

  • chyba znalazłem dwa błędy:

    1) w 2:10 zamiast "season of assassination" powinno być coś w stylu "assasination of the season" (zabójstwo sezonu),

  • This is a good version, Words have completly changed from the English Version, but still good! The Singer is suited to Scar a well!!!

  • To zrób lepsze.

  • polska wersja najlepsza :] najbardziej taka... hm.. prawdziwa, energiczna.. :)

  • I love his voice, sounds sexy and evil in the same time... Scar ftw !

    -XD-

  • "DUMBASSES! THERE WILL BE A DIFFERENT KING!"

Oh lawd, I died laughing. LOVE the translation.

  • I love that you added in the little Hyena counterpart at the end! I love the hyenas, so it's great to know what they're saying. :]

  • This is really awesome, thank you. It's helping me learn a little more Polish :D

  • is that really what they say??? they swear in the lion king??? in the english version its wayy different. not fair

  • no, "dureń" (plural "durnie") means rather "a fool" than "a dumbass"

  • wersja świetna, co tu dużo gadać (;

    co do tekstu, to nie jestem pewna, ale tam pod koniec chórek śpiewa chyba 'przyjmij nas/do swych łask/'. w każdym razie ja to tak zawsze interpretowałam (;
