The game should be original or it will not read the disc, but another way to play the Wii games is to put a chip in the Wii to read and play the DVD´s or if you have the 2nd generation of Wii, you should put in a External Hard Drive... That worked in my Wii, (I have 1 too, and the game is awsome

This is probably one of the easiest methods to get rid of the horrid 001 error: search up "Fix Wii Error 002/001 in backups!: The tutorial!" and it will tell you to change some files on the wii. Worked for me, hope it does for you.

I always got that in bootleg SSBB Japanese (because my original SSBB US doesn't even get READ!), and the bootleg Mario Kart Wii I bought. It's pretty frustrating to find the (newer) best Ninty games to NOT work, then shell out a lot of cash for an original copy to find out that it doesn't work EITHER. use brickblocker on the iso. google will get you it, use imgburn(free download) to burn brickblocked iso file. if you are using a version of SMG that doesnt support your wii eg. NTSC game on PAL system or vice versa, use regionfrii also on the iso before its burned.

I need help... I downloaded Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I burned it on a Fuji Dual Layer DVD+R disk with NERO, and I have a pre-installed MOD chip that works perfectly with every other already burned games. This game is NTSC, and it does the same thing that happened to you. It starts, and the Error #001 pops up. How do you think I can fix this? I will be greatful for any help.

maybe its the dvd, but do as me. I compressed the SSBB DL dvd into a DVD5 game. try using google, isn't hard to find how to compress the game =D

i did that because my dvd recorder can't burn DL images. at least thats what I guess...

1.firstly keep trying and make sure your disc is up where you can see it

2.make sure your updates are installed and you have more than 1 game

3.play another game for about 30 min. turn off and try again

4. enjoy Spuer mario galaxy my god its really fun i have 117 stars

5.if that does not work then dont hesitate to buy a new copyt wait until all there de-bugged copys are out..

6. then you may enjoy
