@SmithComedyAustin Are you sure that you are broadcasting? Make sure that you've clicked "start broadcasting" (4:25) and that the 'state' is "ON AIR" (red)...and not "Standyby"...
@mrshuffle99 There may be a couple of reasons: double check that you are "On Air" after you "start broadcast" and be sure you give your friend the 'Internet' URL for your broadcast and not the 'Local' URL. Your friend may also have a problem on his end: is he connected to the internet? Is his missing a plugin if listening through his browser.
Try using iTunes to listen. In iTunes under 'Advanced', select 'Open Stream'...cut and paste the URL there.
@entyce66 Yes, the maximum number is only 8. I use Nicecast to connect with clients, usually I have only 1 or 2 listening in on the voice over sessions.
If you followed everything I showed you in the video you should be broadcasting.
Based on your brief description, I would say the problem lies in WHAT you are trying to broadcast from iTunes. Pick a song or something that you have a hard copy of on your computer to test your set-up.
If the red 'On Air' graphic is showing in Nicecast...you're on the air!
Be sure, in the 'Server' window (Window > Show Server) that you have the 'automatic' check box checked to generate your unique broadcast IP.
I have setup just like you say but when I press to play in itunes, a window saying "opening url" with a "connecting" moving bar shows, but never connects, can you help
I send people that link on the "Share" tab and it doesn't work for them.

Click on 'Effects'...insert the effect called 'VoiceOver'.
In VoiceOver click 'EDITOR'. In the new window select your audio input device.
Then using 'Crossfade' you can bring down the volume of the 'Source' (music) as you bring up the volume of your voice. Have fun with it!
