  • I should probably have read the description....

  • @elotrain lol xD

  • Is this from the twickenham sessions in 1969? Paul messing around before the others got there in the morning

  • Johns aunt yells at him to stay out of Strawberry Field or thy are gonna hang ya. John yells back that it's nothing to get hung about!

  • the piano intro is wonderful! where did you find this recording???

  • could be better..i think.

  • @MrMelodynelson You're cracked in the head

  • Can someone clarify this please? The description says "Paul singing at the piano" is that just a typo? Cause it does sound like John's voice to me.

  • @AFTERSHOCKCEX noooo it is Paul singing

  • @2Guys1Contour: Thank you!

  • @2Guys1Contour yes, it is. it's Paul and the bit before Strawberry Fields is from a tune that he later used in the Rupert project.

  • @bloeddorstigbeest I know thats why i said No it IS paul Singing

  • @2Guys1Contour ok. both are great melodies though

  • @AFTERSHOCKCEX

Just to agree with everyone else, this is definitely 100% Paul singing here.

  • @clockworkfiction3: Thank you!

  • @AFTERSHOCKCEX Then you probably shouldn't be looking for a career in anything sound related. That's Paul.

  • @stevekeller62: I wasn't seeking an opinion on vocational direction Steve. That is why I asked for clarification. I am a drummer so unfortunately the die is cast.

  • nice windows movie maker effects

  • Love this! Maybe one day this will get an official release...maybe...

  • What a great idea to cover this song with piano, imagine doing wallruss or lucy I once did Not a second time on piano and it sounded like a later composition of John,... Thanx for posting this...Yann

  • The beggining is the same melody of the song "the castle of the king of the birds" of the ruppert bear soundtrack composed by Paul McCartney

    look here

    watch?v=IUFWShB-s10

  • @bufonoise yup, you are right! Nice! Never heard that track before....

  • Paul wrote showtunes...

  • paul mccartney singing and playing piano

    why is johns picture here?

  • I hate to be a jerk, but that sucked. He cant even play it right on the piano. The chord on "nothing is real" is wrong, and a common mistake of beginners. Adorno wrote it!

  • @BushZappa LOL

  • beautiful, absolutely beautiful

  • Working out arrangements for the live concert at the core of the project that never happened and eventually morphed into the rooftop concert?

  • @rockermanmatt in certain ways i'm pretty sure i've achieved a lot more than mccartney i.e. i haven't written 367237 boring, conceited solo albums in a row and never will.

  • @rdnzl7878 i actually liked every solo album of Paul's. Don't be a jerk. People actually like it, even though it may be sugar coated and silly love songs. You don't need to diss a guy's music career. Do you know how hard it is to even be better than your own act? Not just any act for that matter, but The Beatles? It is nearly impossible, but all four of them did it and were great. So please kindly stfu. Thankyou. :)

  • @thebeatles102998 the majority of the human population are dumb. i don't have to diss him, history have already proved me right.

  • @rdnzl7878 That may be true. But, I'm not a part of that population. You don't have to like Paul's music, but you can at least have the common curtesy of respecting the man and his music. You, in no way, can be proven right. That is just an opinion. i.e, You might look at a painting and think it's awful, ugly, and dull. But someone else might look at the exact same painting and think it is beautiful, vibrant, and spectacular. You cannot be proven that you have a more succesful carrer then Paul.

  • @rdnzl7878 That may be true, but I am not a part of that population. You don't have to like Paul's music or career. But, you can at least have some decentsy and respect his music and career. You can never be proven right, for that is just an opinion. You only think that you have a more succesful career than Paul, but that cannot be proven, thats just your opinion. i.e, You think a painting is dull and ugly but someone else but look at the same painting and think it's beautiful. They're OPINIONS!

  • Is it just me or does Sir Paul's 'Waterfalls' (from McCartney II) sound very similar to this???

  • Well near the start of it anyway.

  • don't be silly! this was written by paul, just like every single beatles song.

  • @rdnzl7878 best be trollin'

  • @TaylorTayMusic this is the truth. you are gay. long live paul mccartney!

  • @rdnzl7878 not every song was writen by Paul for The Beatles. George, John, and Ringo did some too.

  • @rdnzl7878 lol paul didn't write everything

  • @tuippe4 i know. i'm very tired of paul's comments on every single lennon composition. since his death, mccartney says "yeah, i helped him for that one too, 68,4% of it was mine, i wrote two middle eights for that, and played the counter melody on the dulcimer and bongos, so it's obviously mine". bollocks. i think this poor old senile man has inferiority complex cause he never got praise and laurels for his rubbish, incredibly boring fluff. paul is dead since 1970.

  • @rdnzl7878 Well said i agree!

  • @rdnzl7878 - you do know that in all the interviews compiled from Paul as well as John before he died, there is only disagreement regarding who wrote what with two songs - Eleanor Rigby and In My Life. Paul has had no problem giving John credit for his input in songs primarily penned by Paul. Maybe this issue is more so in your head

  • @albacized True, but I think in the past few years in newer interviews and books he made a thousand more claims. Now that John is dead, no one can rectify his statements.

  • i think this is brilliant

  • this is cool, very melodic and nostalgic, don't you think ?! I think this is McCartney's favourite Lennon song, he just loved it !

  • @klausgroi

mccartney`s favourite lennon (and the beatles) song is "you know my name(look up the number)"

  • @k0stil he was only joking when he said that. duh.

  • i think this is better than original

  • lennon's style is inimitable

  • @WiltatKansas i dont think mcartney tries to imitate lennons style

  • WOOOW!!! I hadn't heard it before, but let me tell you that the piano intro of this record is very equal to another outtake called "The castle of the king of the birds", in which Paul sings and plays piano as well.

  • @toniente yea its the same

  • @iamamannow he did lol

  • I like it, even though there are some stumbles and you can't hear Paul well... it's so mysterious and intriguing... I find that I like a lot of the Beatles' early takes of their songs better than the final ones, though both are absolutely amazing. thanks for posting :)

  • @nycglitztap This was recorded in 1969, so it's not an early take of Strawberry Fields Forever (which was recorded in 1967) I agree with everything else you said though.

  • @njriley55 first demos of strawberry fields done in 1966 to be recorded on sgt peppers. didnt happen as planned n went on magical mystery tour. if ur a fan like u sound u might have already knew this:)

  • @Taxi502 Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane was released as a single on Feb. 13, 1967. Later, it was also included on the MMT album (in the U.S.) which was released Dec. 8, 1967.

  • @Taxi502 yeah they ditched it so Pmac could again pretend to be cole porter /noel coward and do "When im 64"

big mistake ,,they fucked up their 3 best albums by including lame arse stuff like yellow submarine, octopusses garden ,,and that other piece of shit.

  • The Get Back sessions were the most unfocused series of sessions the Beatles ever did.. but there are so many fascinating bootlegs and outtakes from it

  • No credit for George on the guitar here? This stuff is brilliant!

  • @rkodavey I honestly don't know why people never read the discription. If you look just below the video there is a box that says discription. CLick to see more, you can see the full discription. In the FIRST sentence it says "Get Back Sessions, Paul singing at the piano and George plays guitar."

On a different note, I do agree, this is aboslutely brilliant indeed! =)

  • @rkodavey Poor Georgie was never given enough credit :/

  • Just when you think you've heard everything Beatles. There's so much of the stuff! Brilliant.

And they're releasing a new Beatles song soon.

  • damn best way they should have done it

  • awesome
