  • where is the best place to get it?

  • @wampaAWESOMEsauce mine came from x heli but i've seen them at frys electronics and sears as well.

  • @taoistflyer thanks

  • a friend of mine had this chopper and i flew it and the only thing i dident like is if you tried to make a sharp turn it chopped its own rotor offf

  • wtf 0:28 opening box with a throwing knife? OMG

  • Dude you are making some really cool vids, can you tell me how the syma chinook compares to the silverlit twin hurricane ? What are the differences ? I am only just starting on these indoor helicopters so I want to get as much information as possible before I get them ^^ Thanks in advance and rock on !

  • @SoLUnlimited Both are pretty old now in helicopter terms, check out the new line of silverlit aircraft for 2011, their is one called the phoenix that i think you would realy like, i just posted a review of it.

I think the syma Chinook was a little better, but it took a really long time to charge the battery, about 45 minutes, other then that it was great

  • @taoistflyer Thanks ! I think I found myself a new hobby, I actually just started and I have nothing right now besides the silverlit helibaster, I really like how it steady it is(although I wouldn't want anything less stable). At my first attempt it actually flew out the window from the 3rd floor, I was really lucky that there was no wind so I was somehow able to land it in the grass outside.

  • @taoistflyer Aniways I think I am going to get myself the sky wizard next , judging from your vid it looks like a pretty steady one. Have you ever thought of flying the revell RC's ? Aniway peace out !

  • @SoLUnlimited I haven't tried them out but i would like to. I've really been enjoying the sky wizard it is really stable and a lot of fun, it's worth getting.

  • you gotta alot shit in your place, lucky you didnt hit something haha

  • @Davidsfarmlives a little skill and a well built aircraft is all it takes.

  • i got 100 bux, he smokes weed.

  • Nice hat ツ

  • omg just open the box

  • I have one of these helicopters but it`s different and more greenish.

  • @Joshua0094055 It's a pretty common helicopter, i really like mine, it flies nice and looks cool in the air.

the color schemes very pretty considerably.

  • do the top buttons do anything?

  • @thenerfergeek325 yes they control the forward reverse trim, so if the heli is drifting forward to fast you click the reverse trim button a few times to level out the helicopter.

  • I just received mine in the mail yesterday and already have a problem with it. My problem is the difference in the speed of the rotors. It will only fly forward (making the rear propeller spinning faster than the front one. Now, I tried adjusting the front and back propeller but to no success, still dive bombs. From other videos of yours i thought it could be a problem with the gears, still no luck. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

  • this one looks pretty kool,i've had two of the air hogs chinooks they suck not worth the gas to go get them i was not impressed at all..

  • is it hard to fly?

  • @jaspervanbeek1 i found it pretty easy to fly, and i think it is a pretty stable and cool looking heli as well.

  • WOW! amazing chinook

  • deffinatly WORT?!

  • @UpstairsClient It depends on which way the chopper is spinning, if it's spinning left, adjust the trim to the right, if it's spinning right, adjust the trim to the left, I learned that over the years with my AH-64 Syma Apache

  • i cant recharge mine, cause its got like on cover that only stands up on the right left and the back im trying to rechargee but i cant fit it in? can someone help

  • @UpstairsClient the B and F buttons stand for backwards and forward so if u want to use them just push forward and hold button F

  • @BWHARRIER1 it's plastic

  • i saw one of those at runawaybay

  • two-zero-six not really ;)

  • Will this hover in one spot and stay there if you want it too or does it always move forward?

  • wish i could buy it......

  • @Baragon217 I see this one for sale on ebay all the time, brand new and pretty cheap, a lot of heli shops sell on ebay

  • @Baragon217 You can buy it ! Save up your rice tokens, and stop the Goat fucking.

  • @FATBELLYJONES1 dude calm down

  • yeah sweet man

  • ahh i did see one of there at my local store it say at the with GYRO thingy but the thing worry me is it cost 17bucks lol... must of the store 24~28

  • I have one but it only runs around in circles on the floor and there was no charger to the socket. I hate that thing!

  • you fly it so well.

  • you should do some reveiws on some helis that you make you seem good at that stuff

  • air hogs has a similar version

  • can you make a video about how to drive it

  • where do you buy one

  • @greenlipmussel i got this one at xheli but their are a bunch of places selling this one now, even brookstone.

  • @greenlipmussel If you live in the UK You can buy one from Red 5

  • I beleive it doesnt have gyro and I had a bad experience with S027 (non Gyro heli)it kept on spinning on me and wasted my time trimming andhard to maneuver because when you turn it rotates so much hard to control it until the motor quits and i just bought it last 7/14/2010. It maybe a different story with this CHinook.

  • @ironmansuperman Check out my new 3 channel UFO video, it's gyro controlled and one of the best fliers out their, I love it.

usually they will just use a piezoelectric gyro, a small MEMS that is sort of like a set of vibrating wing like rods inside a case, when the heli moves the rods want to stay where they are because of newtons laws, they are at motion. the rods bend at the base causing a current to flow. Insects use something similar, small wing nubs, but they use nerves instead of quartz.

  • love the blud splats on the wall

  • how much were the shipping?

  • Hi , This one dose fly well, i have one of these but much older . It has fixed blades and a smaller flybar so they do not fly as good as this one, i dont think.

  • i have the same heli, but in flight, i had a bad crash and lost one of the metal balancer things, (the thing thats on the very top and helps it turn.) do you know were i can get another one of these parts?

  • @helldawg119 it would be easier to make one from stuff around the house and glue it in, you probably wont find just that piece for sale, you would probably have to buy the whole rotor and just pull off the weight.

I would say pull off the one good balance weight, and see if you can fined something around the house like a small scrap of metal or maybe even some clay that ways the same and is about the same size, then glue them both back in.

  • @helldawg119 xheli.com do spare parts for the S026 :)

  • @helldawg119 if u bought iut on the web the site u got it off might help u out, if bought at a shop they will definantly have spares

  • for a chinook? WOW i can only find regs for 22$ but for a chinook? wow

  • awesome

  • is it difficult to fly?

  • @DolleeRocker it is very easy to fly, this video was my first time to ever fly it. i really like it.

  • I have to admit I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of RC helicopters. This is still one of my favorite! For the money you can not beat it. Very responsive, enough speed, can land it on a dime. (with a little pratice) I would highly suggest it.

  • did dick cheney visit?

  • Great use of your money!

  • air hogs made a replica of a copy of a chinook its basicly 2 havoc helis put togther love ur videos i havent found a better reveiw channel in all the hours im on the internet keep it up

  • go to helipal.com their products aint outta stock like xheli.com

  • thats the exact one i got!

  • im so envios of how many rc copters you have

  • The heli's for sale at xheli don't include a wall charger, or at least it does not list it.

  • its easier to fly but to land it, really hard mine almost broke and now it only goes forward. i had to fix it, took me 2 hour to get it right. but on the other hand it fly great.

    5/5.

  • Hey thanks for the great video, I was wondering do you have any coupon codes for this chopper?

  • Great video. If anyone still wants the version with the controller. There is an amazon seller who still has them. Xheil no longer sells them. Downside is though it will cost you $10 more than the new version with the charger in the controller. $32.24 plus $5.49 shipping. The newer version $22.95 plus $5.49 shipping.

  • THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING HELICOPTER!!!! But they suck up battery like that! (i have to replace them every 2-3 charges :(......)

  • @pimpmastahanhdeuce, check out the Twister Skylift :) and note that infra red (red blob on Tx instead of an aerial) control sysyems are pretty useless outside generally...

  • mine flys 10-14mins 20-30 min charge

  • @BuggyRunner6 you lucky sun of a bitch, mine charges for almost an hour and only flies for 8 minutes, does yours charge on the transmitter or with a wall charger.

  • @taoistflyer mine is transmitter , if yours is transmitter try new batteries i had a similar problem before

  • @taoistflyer dou recommind this heli instead of the others ?

  • How many helicopters do you have dude lol.

  • how long did it take to ship because i ordered mine today and i want it before spring break ends

  • @slymylizard less then a week

  • damn is this like yor first time flying this?!

    your good!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what do u have so it does not spin

  • That sucks compared to the one i got

  • are there any 3 channels i can use outside with a decent range?

  • their aren't many good outdoor 3 channel helis, to go outside you want something that can fly faster then the wind speed, most 3 channel helis don't go more then 1 or 2 mph, so they can't fight any wind. for outdoor flight you need something with a little more power, their are a few large coaxial 4 channel helis that are good outside, but honestly the best way to fly outdoors is with a CP heli, but they are expensive and hard to fly.

check out the big lama coaxial heli at x heli, it may work 4U

  • @Pimpmastahanhduece I got a 3ch heli, its a big electric coaxial Falcon heli, and I'm able to fly it outside in the wind, though when a strong breeze strikes even if you face against the wind with full throttle and move the directional stick completely forward the heli will either be still,or be dragged back because of the force of the wind.

  • i have the same one.

how long does the battery last on yours? Mine flys for about 6 mins for 40 mins charge

  • Mine flies at the max 8 minutes,

charge time is at least 45 minutes if not longer.

this heli takes a long time to charge, but it flies like a dream.

  • i think you over exaderated the beginning unboxing

  • I figured since it was working it couldnt hurt to get creative so i used the wall mounted charger from my Air Hogs Reflex and the battery charged up nicely. Gotten 3 flights without a problem yet. So if you decide to buy this make sure to get a wall charger for the battery since the one on the remote is worthless. I am not sure why they stopped selling it with the wall charger because it is clearly needed.

  • I was curious about if that would work, i haven't tried it yet. i love the wall charger it saves so many batteries it's not even funny.

Let me know if it keeps working, and if it works on other helis.

I'm sorry your second chinook didn't work, this quad rotor heli design is a really fun stable design I think this heli was a little more popular then they thought it would be, and I think they rushed a bunch of units into the market place without proper QC.

  • @taoistflyer It lasted for 5 flights that way because i forgot to unplug it after 15 minutes and i'm guessing it overcharged the battery. They were a fun 5 flights though and made me want to upgrade so now i am thinking about getting the Walkera 4g3. If you have any comments or reviews about that helicopter i would love to hear them. Thanks again for your videos and comments.

  • @Scarr420 you should start out with a coaxial 4 channel first. I went from one of those to the novus fp, which is pretty much exactly the same, and it's incredibly hard to fly. i feel pretty comfortable with my coaxial, but the tail rotor on the fp makes everything feel wayyyyy different. If you went from this to the walkera, expect to be shelling out a lot of money for parts because it's super super super easy to crash if you're not paying attention.

  • @Scarr420 i ment that the fp is the same as the walkera, just re branded. walkera is the better brand though. also, i did the same thing with my first battery lol

  • Gave in and Bought another and it got 3 flights then the battery wouldnt hold a charge. Thats 2 for 2 failure. It flies great especially for a 25$ heli but to have 2 fail that quickly without any reason is unacceptable to me. I am not sure if the fault lies with Syma or with Xheli where i ordered it from. On a side note Xheli has great speed with shipping but non existent customer care the number is either busy or your on hold listening to music that makes you think your in an ice cream truck.

  • I just bought this and it is a bit different, it didnt come with an wall charger, mine charges from the remote. It also doesn't fly. It sounds like one of the servo motors is broken since it is really loud. All it does is rotate incredibly fast like it did for you at the start or fly forward and flip over. I got it through xheli but their return policy is really bad, once you fly it you cant return it. Which makes no sense cause you dont know it is broken unless you try it. If you know any tips

  • That sucks that yours doesn't have a wall charger, I think it is nice to not drain the batteries, did the packeging look the same as this one.

if it just flips forward you may have a bad motor, i can't believe x heli wont exchange it, they are usually pretty good about it. did it come out of the box like that?

  • @taoistflyer yeah the packaging looked identical except i didnt get the white box with the charger. It was the first flight i got it to go around the room once then after that these symptoms started. I didnt crash it, i am thinking it may be a bad battery now from various comments other people owning this. Thanks for your reply taoist you make really good videos and were the motivation for me buying this model. I guess i just got a lemon, i am tempeted to buy another and use this for spareparts.

  • @Scarr420 I hope you get a working one, this one is one of my favorites, I'm sorry you got a lemon, I just got a new 3 rotor aircraft that looks as cool as can be, but it cant fly worth a crap,

the review should be coming soon.

with cheap rc helicopters it's sort of a crap shoot, and as addictive as gambling.

  • These are great heli's. IN the UK, Maplins sell 'em. I bought one at xmas for £25, they are £40 again now I think. Prob my fave micro heli to date, and I have LOADS!

  • wo, for a mini helicopter like that, that sure does fly long

  • holy crap stop the video at 0:10 sec and look at this thumb

  • Holy crap I didn't notice my alien hands wear showing, thanks for pointing it out, now i need to keep my eyes open for the men in black.

Actually it looks long because of the camera angle .

  • ohh srry wats the song called

  • nice man i got a 4 chnnel proto cx from larrys 70 buks flys too good for the price an then a 3 chhl out doow firewolf den i got 2 airplanes that are my das den a lil airhogs 2 chaannlel one lol my lil bros but ye nice flying

  • how long did it take to ship

  • I got mine in less than a week,

Its fun and safe for all ages, but if your parents let you get one get some spare blades.

  • ok thanks

  • if u crashes this once would it break easily

  • it's pretty strong, i haven't had any problems during crashes with it breaking blades.

  • my parents wouldnt let me buy something like this:/

  • I really want that

  • WERE DO YOU GET IT FROM

  • i got the syma s026 chinook from x heli for about 24 dollars.

  • Hi taoistflyer!

Just bought a chinook that you show in the video and the lower back blade does not spin. Is this common? Any "fix" suggestions? Thanks.

  • if it is broken out of the box you should exchange it, it may be a dead motor or maybe just hair stuck on the shaft.

if you got it from x heli call them up and see what they say. make sure they understand you didn't break it.

  • hey, quick question, how long does the battery life last until you have to recharge again??

  • I get about 8 minutes of flight time per charge.

  • My blades got damaged and one broke off. I want to buy non-plastic replacements. Do they exist???

  • They only sell plastic replacement blades, if you wanted metal you would probably need to make them yourself, but they would be pretty heavy, it's always a good idea to have a spare set of blades laying around.

  • My blades got dinted during the initial flights and will not go up high anymore. I need to get replacements. Do they only sell plastic blades? I would really want some type of metal blade. Do they exist?

  • i have the same one

  • what are the channels? yaw?, forward/backwards? and lift?

  • that's correct.

it has good forward reverse, better then any other 3 channel.

  • getting one shipped right now ^.^

  • You should love it.

  • cant find this in Singapore!

  • hey i have a problem with my micro chinook. its not syma but the only difference is that it's charged from the transmitter and it has different stabalisation bars. It only turns one way is ther anything i can do to help with this (i can take stuff like this apart and put them back together)

  • these helis use torque to turn. it'll slow down or speed up a set of blades, I don't know what could be causing your problem. usually adjusting the trim is all you need to do

  • @taoistflyer how do u adjust the spin?

  • would you recommend this syma s026 chinook over a picooz tandem z1 cuz i dont know which 1 2 buy thanks alot!

  • @FISHmann100 yes definatly they are so fun! my bros got a picoo z and its not as good. get a chinook.

  • get the S026, it is much more precise, it hovers better flies longer, it goes forward and reverse and turns like a dream, and it is built to scale, so it looks realistic, the tandem z doesn't look as good, it has big see through plastic fins on the front and back that are very ugly, plus you can buy 2 Chinooks for the price of the tandem z, it's worth every penny, it's the best heli of 2009

  • your battery maybe Foolits

  • Mine's not staying in the air.... it goes up and then back down

  • Tail rotor diameter 30 mm????

  • shit its out of stock

  • can i order this to croatia in europe

  • turn on the remote first

  • I just watch the vids for the "commercial voice". LOL Taoistflyer is the best!

  • This is an excellent little helicopter, I had one loved it and sold it to a friend. Brilliant as it is if you learn to fly with this you will have to learn to fly again if you decide to go 4 ch or more as it has yaw/rudder on right stick, kinda like mode 1, most 4ch and higher in UK and USA are mode 2 nowadays, throttle and yaw/rudder on left. Still for $24 its awesome, great fun, easy to fly, stable.

  • how much is the shipping

  • Man,your awesome, can you please tell me which stores sale these?i bought a Propel RC Chopper for 20 bucks and it's the same size as the one in the video it's a 3 channel one,

  • I bought this one from xheli

they have a pretty good selection of helicopters

    it was only 24 bucks.

  • $24.00 you can't go wrong!!. I seems very stable. Great video! :-)

  • you turned the heli on first arent you always supposed to turn the radio on first?

  • on this one you turn on the heli first, as soon as you turn on the transmitter it send out a signal telling the helicopter to center its gyro.

on the blade mcx you turn the transmitter on first so it can scan and secure 2 radio channels.

    Every hei is different.

  • i see

  • Are you kidding me?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? You took that thing right out of the box and flew it like it was a dual drive mCX! The rest of us would have it in the nearest wall in about 370 mS.

Do you think I could chop one of these up to carry a 28 gram spycam? I'd love to use my mCX for that, but the camera weighs as much as the heli. Heh. I don't want to spend any money on a CX2 or equivalent, and my 300, 400, and 450 helis won't hover on their own.

  • It would take a lot of chopping, but it might be able to carry it, next time I fly it I'll try and see if it can pick up a one ounce blade mcx s300.

For 24 bucks it definitely is worth the money, it flies better then a lot of these toy helis and it is a good platform for chopping up and modifying, you could probably put a radio receiver in it, it might even be possible to add a 4th channel with some ingenuity.

  • lol so true on the first part

  • nice vid as always...what's your favorite dual rotor heli?

  • I like the blade mcx, but this one is a really nice coaxial quad rotor.

  • Greate !!!

    Saludos desde México.

  • nice heli :)

  • Bought one of these a few weeks back, fly's very quickly, is stable and easy to control. Has a cool sound as it flies around the lounge room!

  • song?

  • i am the 44 viewer

  • Nice

  • cool heli

  • That thing is awesome!

I never thought of a twin blade duel chopper before!

    SWEET!

  • It's a really good way to go, it makes flying backwards a lot easier, and it seams to fly a lot faster then any 3 channel with a tail motor.

    Thanks for watching.
