  • This is pure art! I love it! As I love South Park :)

  • So random.

  • FLY!

  • so a gay guy invented in-flight movies?

  • It's Funny With The Man Hammering His Arms Flat then flying and immediating Plane Sounds.

  • I can't blame these people. At that time, they were trying to escape the killer cars.

  • I saw this once, years ago, on PBS. I've been wanting to see it again for so long. It's still hilarious.

Gilliam = comedic and creative genus.

  • Brilliant, man. Gilliam is superb

  • The guy at 4:04 scared the crap outta me...in a funny way.

  • @chrisjt86 obama on crystal meth

  • Tideland leaved me breathless, how can someone be so honest with himself and with life, with a natural talent for wonderful things like this short for example, I think he sees life in a very magic, beautiful, still realistic way.

    And looking forward to Parnassus.

In my opinion, a true genius.

  • @RodrigoElGatoNegro Enlightend is the word :-)

  • Ticket good for one flight.

  • "Fly!!"

  • ...

    "Nope, still not got it"

  • I believe that this was first aired on a TV in the USA on a program called The Marty Feldman Comedy Machine, which was aired on ABC before PBS stared showing Monty Python episodes. I'm 99% certain that that's where I saw it. It's possible that Gilliam actually produced it earlier than that, though.

  • @rhsatrhs: Just read your comment, and you're absolutely right! I too remember seeing this on Marty Feldman's show when I was just a wee lass, and it was so bizarre and funny,it stuck with me for years and I longed to see it again. Nice to see I'm not the only one with a long TV memory. Hooray for YouTube!

  • 木

  • Exactly.

  • Tree of light? :S

  • @ashimasa ?

  • @ashimasa haha yea, yea

  • Simply marvelous! Couldn't breathe cause I was holding my laugh for trying to be quiet so I wouldn't miss anything... Priceless!

    FLY!

  • Terry Gilliam has given us Brazil, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Time Bandits as well as countless gems of animation shorts. His is truly a type of genius that will never be seen ever again, and will be admired long after he is gone.

  • He is an awesome director and writer. I think he is very underrated.

  • This reminds me of old Warners Bros. cartoons, but British-style! This is now my favorite Gilliam animation!

    Nope, still don't got it.

  • You do know that some of his animations were on Monty Python right? Like Marge from that episode where she told her husband to turn that television off at 3:40-3:43. Also, I think that at 4:00-4:04 that voice is Terry Jones. Interesting stuff man. 5 stars and a fav.

  • no, thats still not right! ha ha

  • Hilarious

    SPAM AM!

  • Haha, så jävla bra :D

  • no still not got it.....

  • Love it.
