Now that I'm retired (I'm under 60) I can do anything I want. In the summertime, I go back for a day. Yeah, there are some blighted properties, but the people there more than make up for the blight. They all think it's my first time ever there. I just keep my mouth shut and soak it all in. Oh what they don't know. I like it that way. I've had more than enough of their horrendous winters.
Has it gotten better there? My parents moved there in 06. They said it beautiful there except some people wont clean there property. We're thinking of moving there(Warren, Spring Creek) from Cally

The city of Detroit has blight that is much worse than anything in Corry, but I live in the suburbs where there are thousands of 5000+ sq ft, million+ dollar houses. So there is blight everywhere, but everyone needs to get out of NW PA to find out what the real world is about. Then you can go back and make Corry better if you still care.

Once you leave and look back, you really appreciate it for what it is...small, hometown where good people look after eachother! Go out and explore, then go back.
