I think it also has less storage and, therefore, applications. I think it is good for people who have access to another computer that can do everything else (e.g. library / work / home computer). My brother has has this for about 9 months and it has survived much abuse. He has never needed the disk drive and is able to to everything else on it he would normally do on a laptop. I hope to buy on someday!

i am most likely to get this netbook very soon, the closest competitor i saw in price/specs was the newest gateway netbook that actually offered an amd athlon processor. very few netbooks offer that. practically a laptop w/ sighing specs but for a netbook, extremely good. however, around $50 more and doesn't offer the wireless n.

You should know, its LED monitor produces less power and nearly no heat. its battery lasts very long. Its processor uses a very small amount of voltage and power so the adapter would be smaller than a wallet. This is great on the go for a netbook.

I'm getting the eee pc 904ha, in my country it's pretty cheap and got 160 GB HDD, more than on my main computer, lol. Acer aspire one is cheaper, but I don't trust Acer products that much. The others are more expensive. The netbooks support music and photos, ask yourself how much space you want. Eee's got that SD(XD,MS) card reader. I'll leave the choice on you.

Better processor on the 1000HE N280 1.66ghz. The netbook runs at 677mhz and 2 gig ram expandable and chicklet keyboard and it can run videos smoothly and it supports 720p which is awesome

I have a 1000H, and my machine has an ATOM N270, 80Gb HD (new ones 160) and Bluetooth and wireless N. My eeePC is updated with Ubuntu with a special eeepc kernel.

This machine is really portable and the screen and keyboard are big enough to work well with it. Good PC for people who are using backpacks often.

7hr is when everything is at low of course. and the only diff b/w 1000ha and 900ha are the hotkeys on the top left, 5hr and 7 hr battery(but that comes with a price the weight-.- 2.5 and 3.2) this makes the 1000ha heavier and the place they put the mics so id still get 900ha since its lighter the point of getting mini netbook is the weight

yeah you can get close to 7 hours, you turn wifi off set the hybryd to powersave, and turn brightness down a bit, but you can play a game, listen to music or somthing else or even turn on wifi and it'll reduce the time only by about 15 min

the 1000h has blue tooth and and has wireless n rather then g. The difference between n and g wireless is that n is a bit newer so the range is better by a couple meters. other then those two , there is no other differences.

I have one and I run Crysis at Very High with 60+ frames, I also have it connected to my 30" monitor which runs at 2560x1600 and it still runs great maxed out. These Eee PCs are real power houses.

Kidding of course, Crysis probably wouldn't even run at low settings on one of these.
