  • When did this game take place?

  • Didn't Harden give Largent a cheap shot earlier in that game? Steve got some pay back on that hit.

  • Great post. I remember watching this live and was amazed when it happened. Largent was such a great player.

  • That was a heck of a hit. As a Chiefs fan, it always feels good to see the Broncos get owned like this.

  • Steve Largent was indeed a Great and Amazing player!

  • largent does not get enough credit. second greatest wr in nfl. cuz we all know whos #1. if the hawks had those teams of the 49rs he would be first no doubt.

  • @geraldkitt no i think largent is number 1 largent only played 13 seasons with over 13,000 yards and 100 tds and over 200 receptions while jerry rice played 20 years so obiously he would ge t more stats

  • @megatree51 1. I'm a big Largent fan. 2. He had 819 catches, not 200. 3. Largent played 14 seasons, not 13. 4. Rice had a higher rates of catches, yards, and TD's on a per game basis. Largent was great, and among great receivers, certainly had the least help. But Rice was statistically better, and not only because of how long he played. He broke Largent's TD record after seven or eight years in the league. Both a great receivers, but if I had to pick one, I would have to go with Rice.

  • @DanVelinski yea but still man look at the qbs jim zorn or joe montanna

  • @megatree51 I know. I've thought long and hard about this. Largent worked his butt off to overcome inferior help. Rice took advantage of a strong team and Bill Walsh's genius to become the most prolific pass-catcher ever. They're two very different players. Largent was deceptive, sure-handed, and tough. Rice was smooth, disciplined, and tough. Two great players whose styles were dictated by the teams they played for.

  • @DanVelinski I don't disagree with you, but I would argue that Rice made Joe Montana better and not the other way around. I have to give Rice the edge over Largent because both had great hands but Rice was the best at running after the catch.

  • @pontifexish I have no problem with Rice being the No.1 receiver. He worked hard. I'm just pointing out that we need to look at the supporting casts players have. They're different players. Both are great, terrific teammates, reliable, whatever compliment you have for them, they deserve it. And I think Montana and Rice made each other better. It goes both ways.

  • Go hawks!

  • these guys are all around athletes.. some WR's are good enough to be starting defensive backs, but their coaches dont want to wear them out

  • The only dislike is by Mike Harden

  • Man we had the best receivers. Steve Largent and Brian Blades. Damn...

  • OF COURSE HE WAS DOWN, AND WOULD BE SAD TO HEAR YEARS LATER THE PLAY WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN REVERSED...BUUUUUT THAT WAS A CRACK-BACK JACK FROM HELLLLL.NICE CHIT

  • @OGLuckster But the Seahawks got the ball on a penalty before the interception. If you watch the video the refs do rule him down.

  • Wow, the football players look like real people.

  • I can't find the full video anymore that shows the penalty that explains why Largent was so pissed

  • @puffykilled2pac Its because Harden took Largent out for the entire year before. Payback's a bitch

  • @MsiuCMaN No it was the same year, it was just a cheap shot with a forearm under his facemask.

  • @puffykilled2pac I seen the video I think you're talking about. karlos2121 has it downloaded. The title is Steve Largent 1988.

  • Go on Steve! Reminds me of Don Bebe swatting the ball out of Leon Lett's hand in superbowl 27.

  • Maybe Steve should've played free safety too. lol

  • Largent not only gave the hit but also recovered the fumble. Great play all around by him.

  • I think it's even cooler cus he's white

  • @ThadeoftheNorse

On top of that, Harden looked completely dazed. "What the hell hit me?"

  • shouldnt of been a fumble

  • @BlackOpsLovver Whatever!

  • @BlackOpsLovver

It wasn't. The play was overturned by holding on the defense. Basically, the interception and the tackle never officially happened. Dead play.

  • @BlackOpsLovver I think you are right. I think he would've been ruled down. All of that was moot with the penalty. If I was the captain, I would've asked if the play was ruled a fumble or he was ruled down. If it was ruled a fumble (since we got it back) I would have declined the penalty.

  • IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AFTER THE HIT YOU'LL NOTICE THAT LARGENT ALMOST MISSED THE FUMBLE RECOVERY CAUSE HE WAS TALKING SHIT AFTER HE HIT DUDE. THAT WAS PAYBACK FROM AN EARLIER INJURY.

  • @ninjarlou he was talking all the way back to the huddle too. love that dude.

  • Now thats a hit!!

  • This is a perfectly timed hit. Harden is in midstride on one foot, Largent powers with both legs, hits high, Harden has no chance but to eat all of it. And he does.

  • how did he not make the top 100

  • Big hit but not a fumble

  • For Largent not to be on the top 100 players of all time just proves that the thugs have taken over. He was even shown as the man who broke a 50 year old record of TD receptions Don Hudson set (who was in the top 10 of all time by the way). NO

Seahawk was on that list either, but Largent earned and deserved it!

  • wow............mike harden had that hit comin'. some weeks earlier, harden took 2 of largent's teeth in a game earlier in the year.

  • I know that many WR's have stats over Largent and they only say he is ONE OF THE greatest but in opinion he was the best ever for not using stickem covered football gripped gloves, he barehanded that fucking shit.

  • Ya M*therf*cker!!! WOW

  • It's impossible to watch this without imagining Steve Largent yelling: "BEEYAAATCH" as he made the hit.

  • the best part of this hit is ho earlier in the game, Harden hit largent somewhat blindsided, and knocked him out, later in the game, this happened

  • @rocritz Harden's hit on Largent occurred in the two teams first meeting.......

  • @d820m i thought that hardens hit happened earlier that game. i could be wrong

  • @d820m of that season, i meant to say

  • that was a payback for something that happened in week 1 with the two teams right? I remember NFL films saying something about that

  • @williamgraynard yeap, just weeks earlier harden knocked largent out then cursed at him.

  • Lay down pussy!

  • This brings a massive smile to my face every time I watch it.

  • People keep talking about legal or illegal... is there such a thing as an illegal tackle? hehe

  • @alexrogan1 Yes? Plenty of illegal tackles... this isn't one of them though.

  • hitstick

  • That's a $75,000 fine and a suspension today.

  • @mata361 That's a legal hit.

  • I wonder if it was in mid-air or upon impact with the ground that Harden's bowels involuntarily evacuated.

  • I don't think there is one video on YouTube with out a person who talks shit on the video

  • Now, Largent would be facing a suspension...SMH

  • @cbaldwinjr no that a clean hit the helmets never hit each other largent helmet goes acrossed the body it's how you should hit someone

  • @cdh98 sadly a WR was making better hit than most of todays LB

  • @cdh98 not necessarily, James Harrison hit Colt McCoy with his helmet across the body, and got fined and suspended...

  • Steve Largent was the freaking man.

  • ... nothing can bring me down today.. hawks are lining up for playoffs..

  • @LyngQ Haha that is funny to see that now that they are in, but 3 months ago it sure seemed like they would win at least 8 games haha.

  • Comment removed

  • What did Mike Harden say about the hit afterwards?

  • @Gwitfu90 "did anyone get the license plate on that truck that just hit me?"

  • why are the bronco celebrating the guy fumbled the intersection so even without the penalty seahawk would have had the ball and the firstdown

  • @cdh98 Maybe the guy was a rookie and it was his first almost big play? I don't know haha

  • @cdh98 lol... It's Interception,

  • @airhawkchikyu no it's defensive holding that loser took that hit for nothing

  • good ol' largent. we need players like him in seattle now. maybe we wouldnt suck so bad.

  • @NASTYMUTHAFUCKA303 Wow Nasty, might suggest you go back to school and learn some grammar and spelling.

  • @bakersgames What do you expect from an ass that puts muthafucka as nickname??

School??? I dont think so, kinder garden and psychiatrist will do better

    P.S: GO HAWKS!!!!

  • I'm from Denver and Seattle sucks ass, but that is a HILARIOUS hit!

  • @habbadou Denver huh? I'm sure you and your little jesus freak QB are going to do very well in the playoffs...
