Yeah, agree, especially now that Tarja left and was replaced by Anette. I used to love Nightwish so so so much, I would listen to them everyday, and then I found out Tarja was gone and that pop singer came in. At first I was pissed, then I accepted her, she isn't that bad, but I was still pissed. And then, thanks god, I stumbled upon Sonata Arctica, I bought all their albums to date and now it's them I looooooooove!!!! And I love Tony's voice. Anette is not a pop singer. You obviously have very little knowledge of singing. There is no such thing as "pop" vocals. You can't go to college and get a degree in "pop" vocals.

Anette uses a belting technique that is very difficult, and is often used in classical vocals (opera), she also mixes it up with a bit of Jazz in her voice, and some of her own very unique touches.

If anything, Anette is a very different singer. And Tarja is just classically trained. But still wonderful.

Tarja Turunen had follow an opera academy, I didn't had any lessons to say that, but I have contacted Nightwish a few times and I'm a hardrock/metalhead for years. I think you should recheck your academy nightjosh ;-)
