Interesting that you spell out some words with ASL to try and figure out the correct spelling I do that too - it helps me see the word - I thought I was the only one who did this.
The clapping thing is interesting. I have coprolalia. I don't really swear. It'ts usually a 2 syllable word like paper,nickle,gromit,pecker. I have a shoulder and stomach tic and a head tic. Eye blinking and rolling. Grunting and clicking. Kind of sounds like i'm beat boxing. If I'm nervous I'll scream high pitched and skae my hands. My chonic tics are blinking my eyes and shaking my head. It get's worse after a seizure. I have three types of those. After a granmal I hollucinate big time.

LadyAngelaGray, coprolalia is only the swearing, so you can't have coprolalia and not swearing/obscenity tics.
If you say things like paper, nickle, gromit and pecker are complex vocal tics.
