Sorry, but this is childish and looks silly. It is no wonder the world laughs at the Church. We have demoted Jesus to pimp status. Why can't we just preach Jesus Crucified with reverence and let the Holy Spirit lead us to give as he leads. God does not need this kind of foolishness.

When Moses was on the mountain to receive the ten commandments, he took off his sandals because he was on Holy ground. When we are representing God we are on Holy ground and a skit like this is unholy.

I wouldnt say "unholy", but i would say a little controversial. i can agree to that word at least, and I really dont think that this is the reason why the world laughs at the church today! In my opinion and from our experience stuff like this is just a tool we can use to reach the world. You represent God everyday of your life! I am sure you are NOT "holy" every second of the day, but God still chooses to use you! We may have different methods, but we have the SAME heart @ message!

Or at least I hope we do!And for your other comment... We use our podcast for our preaching for better quality and where people can download it. I use youtube to post videos of skits, human videos, promo videos, etc. There are some silly stuff, but you cant deny the gospel message in the human videos. We have had so many people come to our church who dont have a relationship with Christ because of videos from here!

@pastordirty O.K. answer this. Suppose I am in my hospital bed dying and you come into my room and I ask you how I can go to heaven. Can you tell me what it takes? We as Christians are supposed to be able to give an answer to this question. And don't assume I am a Christian just because I say I am, I may have it all wrong.

@apollobang13 Sorry if you think this is wrong, but your pastor does not just let the gospel draw people to Christ, he thinks Jesus is not cool enough and has to make Jesus relevant. Even this idea of a tithe is wrong. It was a old testament commandment that God placed on Israel as a tax on top of their offering. In the new testament we give as the Holy Spirit directs us, that may mean 10%, 50% or it may mean nothing if the person is poor. Cont....

@11914386 Even this idea of Judging is incorrect that you have tried to use. When the Bible says we are not to judge, it is referring to my or your saying someone is not saved and only God knows the heart. You are to judge your own actions before you go to someone that you feel is in error. The Apostle Paul addressed things in the Church that were unBiblical. We are to be watchmen on the wall and address things in the Church that are wrong and to put Jesus in the comedic light is wrong.

@11914386 We are to test all teaching against the Word of God. We are to treat the Word of God with respect due the one that has created everything with his the word of his mouth. Moses had to take off his sandals when he approached God. John on Patmos feel as dead at the feet of Jesus. This is the kind of reverence we are to have when we minister God's word. Your youth pastor should be teaching you to respect and reverence God and he should do this so that the world has nothing to laugh at.

I do believe that God has giving me a gift to communicate His word. I love the verse in Mark 12:37, it says, and the large crowd enjoyed listening to Him (Jesus) I can honestly say that christians/non christians BOTH enjoy listening to me speak. prov: 17:22: A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones. Some times when Jesus taught we didnt draw them in with the gospel.. he told stories (parbles) that caught their attention, made them think. We do the same thing. Its just different now because we have more resources. here is what I believe, there will be people that you can reach that I cant, and there will be people that I can reach that you cant. Al that matters is they are being reached!

@11914386 in our youth ministry we have had teens delivered from drugs, alcohol, etc. 2 weeks ago we prayed over a girl whose doctor told her she had 70% chance of cancer. The next day she was cancer free! We see @ least 1 teen make a commitment to Christ every week! If God was is not in this then God will bring this ministry down (thats been my prayer from day 1), but If He is in it, then it will prosper. (we have gone from 50-400 in 3 years with over 150 salvations,/healings, and kids set free

Your eternal damnation doctrine originated in the minds of pagans and is found nowhere in the OT, nowhere in the 13 epistles of Paul and is deceptively introduced into the teachings of Christ by changing the meaning of the words of Jesus.. By what scriptural authority is the proper noun Gehenna translated 'hell'?

Thanks for tithing but I hope you know who (Jesus) really paid in full for your Grace and blessings! If you earned it then you get the glory but no flesh will glory in His sight. ALL the credit goes to Him not our payment but His. This is another issue I have with tithing, it substracts attention from what God gve us and what Jesus paid to freely give us all things!

It is called Giving ! Jesus already did the paying! He is God free Grace of Grace, period!

No one is saying to not tithe as in principle of giving to God as an act of worship, the issue is its application and the way it is being taught as if Christians are not under the Covenant law of Grace but under the Old Covenant of law. Give but why call it paying.

Can you find one verse after Jesus died to pay God?. If he saved you have free grace & favor. Galatians 3:21 I Do not frustrate the Grace of God for if righteous come by the law, then Christ is died in vain.

You know if everyone that claimed to be a Christian actually believed Ephisans 2:9 that it is by grace that we are saved through faith - and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God lest anyone should boast then we would have enough believers to eradicate the type of apostate churchianity that does stupid puppet shows and promotes false assurance of salvation to false converts because they "thithe" which falls under the same anathema pronounced by the Apostle Paul in Galatians 1:8

Churches are a business, tithes are their income. Bringing a god into it is just the churches way of making people give them money. @4evaFranyify... I know! I wish people would understand the principle behind it! I have been tithing for more than 5 yrs, and I can see how God has blessed me! God honors obedience and sacrifice! What I love about our church, they dont "force" you to tithe or make you feel guilty when people dont! They always tell us what (vision) we are giving too! example.. lives being changed, we had 23 people make a commitment to christ this past weekend!, We tell how he feed the homeless every thursday etc!

How sad that the church needs even worldly matters to bring a false doctrine like tithing to the people. What is next...I'll give you some ideas: "Let's talk about TITHES baby", "Oh me so TITHY, me give you much do", "Just TITHE", "I love you just the way you TITHE", "I love I love I love my TITHING girl, yeah sweet TITHING girl". There will be a time coming that Christians will not worry about giving tithes but to stay alive because of persecution of being a follower of Christ.

If this was ever done in my church I would walk out and never return. It is a disgrace to Christianity. This church is spreading false doctines on giving which aren't even biblical. They even use subtle scare tactics about not tithing. The church in America is misguided and greedy and put unnecessary burdens on the poor flock that buy into this crap. Just sad really.

The Biblical Tithes were food grown and raised in Israel. The food Tithes were given to the Levites to distribute to those who could not support themselves. The Tithe was social welfare that took care of the needy, not money given to fund missions and support the Church.

Those who did not grow or raise food did not Tithe. Those who lived outside Israel did not Tithe. Those who were not Levites could not collect the Tithe.

What the Church teaches about Tithing is a lie not found in the Bible.

@blueskunk12 I couldn't say it better myself. Secondly, it's sad that most of the churches that are emphasizing heavily on tithing, are the ones that are so not transparent concerning their expenses. And if you are a believer in need than you must not bother them too because they don't have money/food/goods for you. Noo, they even urge you to pay more than tithes alone, because of the leap-in-faith doctrine. So better let your familiy starve to death than not to give God His money thru church?
