thanks for posting this - because I listened so much to it in 1982/83 I know this is not the original version that was on the first album, 'Joni's Song' - It was the 1st Christian album I bought after becoming a Christian in 1982. Infact this does not sound like Joni, but thanks for posting it.
I wept upon knowing that Joni has a breast cancer, since we all know that presently her body was being paralyzed and now she has a breast cancer. I think this is too much for her. Let's uphold her in our prayers

this is the theme song of my life. I sang this back in 3rd grade in a singing competition and won 1st place. Ever since, when im down or depressed I sing this to myself, knowing that its not finished yet, im not done, i am a work in progress and i will be what God wants me to be in the end. By the same token, the "fruits of the work" of Our Lord cannot be expected in those who continuously disregard rules of common decency and behavior, and believe that just for throwing HIS NAME around, and quoting memorized words of the Holy Scripture,... all they do is valid!
A nation is comprised of individuals, and if each one of us disregards the "eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained" in our own personal lives, we certainly cannot callously sit back and assess any blame on our nation as a whole!!
Our nation is blessed to have some, perhaps, even most, who truly want to do right by it and by God, but, just as in any personal relationship, the other side has to cooperate and also do right!
I first heard this song 30 years ago sung by the Heritage Singers, and today it is as inspirational and motivational to me as it was the first time I ever heard it. It is a wonderful inspirational song.

I am reading Joni Eareckson's book right now. In 1 hour before, I realised it, I had read 126 pages! It was such a heart wrenching life story!
