Zimbra 7 does not have instant messaging build in by ddefault like in previous versions BUT you can still enable it via command line. I myself very upset with this new vesrion...BTW who the hell needs Social zimlet installed by delauft for new user accounts.....VMware screwed everything up they should of kept Instant messaging feature alive and not damn social zimlet...
I like this feature in Zimbra, my users and I find it very productive and useful.I installed Zimbra 5/6 version both versions came with instant messaging feature enable by default in Administration Console Page. Under VMware development they removed this feature....
