@Glockcrazy19 I essentially focus on the entire area of the BCG past the ass end of the firing pin (exposed portion). The side facing the ejection port isn't really important, but there's a good bit of visible lube there because I get several drops in the 3 holes there (not retaining pin hole), getting the gas rings. I lube the shit out of the bolt as well, basically any part at all that's moving.
Also note that I shoot suppressed quite often, which EATS the hell out of lube.
@Glockcrazy19 Also, if I know I'm gonna be shooting only suppressed and shooting high volumes of ammo, the entire upper is practically doused in lube. Even then, I've got to most likely reapply after around 500 rounds, if that. Shooting suppressed (with a DI gun) is just really hard on the gun. It's crazy looking at my bolt and upper after a night of shooting and the entire thing is dry and pasty!
@homegrownsurvivor Thanks brother! I used Aervoe paint. Colors were Sand base coat, Dark green/Marine Corps Green/Earth Brown for camo, and Olive Drab misting to blend it. No yellow, that;s just the Sand color you see. Not the best lighting for this video (overall quality of this video kinda sucks, but I just wanted to quickly take it and post it).

@RetreatHell How is that paint holding up? I don't know if you have any experience with kryloning guns, but the paint looks good compared to krylon for how many rounds you have put through it. Have you had to touch it up or repaint it at all? I'm looking to paint my gun pretty soon and want something that will last a little longer than krylon. Awesome paint job by the way.
wait wait wait a minute. didnt you say in an earlier vid that you were at 100% disability and couldnt work cuz of the hot wheels? how do you not have enough time to do editing?
@4cea206 Yes, I'm a service connected Wounded Warrior. Didn't say I don't have enough time not to edit, just don't wanna take the time to edit a video like this that isn't exactly the most exciting footage.
hey man just curious why do you lube the entire BCG, i thought only the 4 rails needed it?

Great job with the cleaning - weapon looks great! Did you remove the trigger group to clean the lower or did you just work around it?

Are the 11.5" BCM uppers out of favor with you right now? Got an SBR lower in the works and was leaning toward the 11.5"...
OwKGuy 1 month ago
@OwKGuy Nope, I'll always have my 11.5" BCM uppers! Just generally try and run 1 or 2 carbines for a good while.

@chicwboost I use paint pens for witness marks and also for marking magazines. Bought them online from Hobby Lobby.
