  • *car door slams, girl gets out, starts flamethrower*

*phone booth shoots 30 feet in the air and comes back down*

    "Hey Jake."

    "Yeah?"

"There's gotta be at least $7.00 in change here."

*reaches over and grabs some coins*

    Hilarious!!

  • They made a fool out of the Chicago Police Department with the police car pile up!

  • 1:56 best seen in the whole movie! that shit box dodge is gettin light on its springs at speed.

  • ALL of this just because Elwood ran a red light.

  • I will pay someone to recreate this in stop motion

  • I've actually farted on that car their driving in.

  • The one car that makes it over the pileup at 2:44: "Ain't nothin' but a thing..."

  • The Bluesmobile going 115 mph was actually real. They had to get special permission from the city and so the street was completely blocked off from any pedestrians that could've wandered in.

  • I enjoy the pile up :P

  • need for speed omg most wanted = the blues brothers :D

  • 1:50 this is the part directly inspired by The French Connection car chase.

  • 40 police cars

  • Funniest thing about the movie is that no matter what happened, e.g. a door gets blown apart by a rocket launcher, a building gets destroyed, a phone booth launches 30 ft. into the air, everyone acts normally as if it happens everyday.

  • Some of these areas look familiar to me since I live in Chicago :D

  • that 440 gettin it lol

  • Wonder what kind of vehicles are those chicago police cars?

  • @ruantengyi

Chicago PD cars in that scene:

    1 1974 Dodge Monaco (1:28)

    1 1976 Chevrolet Bel Air (1:41)

    12983968432968 1977 Dodge Royal Monacos.

  • Classic car chase!

  • The stunt drivers must have had a blast during the filming of this movie.

  • @pocoapoco2 actually there wasn't stunt drivers, well the cop cars were but Dan Aykroyd did all the driving in this film

  • Now I wanna play GTA 4.

  • talk about Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit! XD

  • I want Elwood to teach me how to drive like this.

Anyone who could pull off all these stunts and NOT crash should be up for hire, LOL.

  • I like the fact that Chicago Police is just shooting at nothing because they were long gone........Also I have to say No Cops were killed during the making of the film

  • There should be a note at the end of the credits that says "No Chicago Police Department officers were *seriously* injured in the making of this film."

  • cool

  • They shot the Bluesmobile actually doing 120, so they had stand in people in the scene to show how fast that car was really going.

  • best car chase ive ever seen in my whole intire life

  • In addition to the many 1977 Royal Monacos, they threw in a few 1975 Monacos and 1974 Chevy Bel-Airs.

  • tearing up them old mars beacons love them federal sirens with the selector knob in between tones has a wild sound.

  • im not much into car chases but from 230-300 that is simply amazing !!! and funny as hell!! and no special effects back then !!! GREAT STUFF !!!

  • Those Federal Signal PA-20A Sirens have a cool effect. That high pitch yelp is actually the selector moved in the middle position of two tones.

  • Best crash scene ever.

  • 2:53 Howd that cop get in the backseat lol?

  • this road is driven in nfs the run's death from above.

  • @eaylhtwls68 Really?

  • @TheIRSMusic yeah search for that and you'll find out.

  • @eaylhtwls68 Ok.

  • fun fact, the siren tone the chicago city police used during this scene was an "in-between" tone, by putting the knob between two tones, produced that unique high pitched wail/yelp

  • @beasst94 and only the fed. sig. interceptor pa-20 was able to produce that tone

  • @1:55 they are ACTUALLY going 100mph down Lake St.... Ballsy stuntmen !!!

  • @beasst94 118 to be exact :)

  • @bangolio7 do you know why the re-shot it and put the camera on the speedo? i do- just testing your knowledge

  • @beasst94 I have no idea, I'm not that much of a BB freak, I actually stumbled upon the correct number myself and saw your comment, I thought if you wanna be exact then...

  • You know, they drive almost as good as the cops in GTA IV.
