This eyesore is a reflection of its inhabitants.Don't say we're poor-no you're poor by choice-if you can't pick after yourself, fix your area nicely and maintain demanding standards-which is all hard work, then your poverty is a chioce because making money demands the same demanding standards, focus and discipline and hard work.If you've failed in one you'll fail in the other.
i think this is great, I see no war, no drug dealers targeting school children (bronx), i see no bag ladies in the subway, no ASBOS. In fact what is see well heeled happy people with plenty of food.
The combination of the music and shots of the garbage make the Zambina market a tragic sight. I for myself miss Zambia a lot. It is a pity there is no money or will to dispose of the waste in a proper manner.
Despite the garbage, the poverty, and the fenced of houses Lusaka is still a happy and lively place to live.
Get real fellas, this video is a representation of what you see in most markets in Zambia. Go to Kalingalinga, Mutendere, Chawama, Matero, thats whats you will see. Dont deny the truth. We live in filth. No doubt about it.
and you can also go to soweto market, longacres, libala, l live in canada and see filth, people that live on the street, and have no choice, we have problems back home, but iam still proud to be zambian.

It shows the bustle of the market well but it feels a bit like you had your camera in your pocket...

It is amazing how you picked such a place out of all the markets.
Zambia is only 44 years old. And before 1964,there were no university and very few good schools for the few whites.
I live in a developed country, and not all places are pretty even here. Some places are filthy as well.
So give Zambia a break!! Why don't you show the upmarket places like manada hill and arcades.
