  • @Peki1946 Hast Du nicht Audio Settings bei deinem Computer? Das hilft ja nur ein bisschen...

  • A cover version by Rita Coolidge in 1977 reached US #2. It was a much slower version and the title was amended slightly to "(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher And Higher.

  • @WhitefeatherStudios A new Ghostbusters is actually coming out next year, with the same cast XD

  • @dexachu I cannot wait! It's great that they are using a lot of the original cast... though probably much like Toystory or Jackass it will make me feel old.. Time passes too quickly.

  • They played this song in a Ruby Tuesday today. A few people were singing along.

  • Singing this at church - which is just brilliant due to the fact that we don't exactly sing it to these words exactly. We're a odd bunch to, three family members, the rest are the only lot there. And hell are we loud. Its so good to finally be able to jump about the church to something so epic!

  • @theBEandBE id love to sing this at my church bet it sends shivvers down ur spine when u hear everyone uniting and signing such a ssong

  • @jamietherooster It was! It went brilliantly and there was a mixture of laugher, confusedness and brilliance throughout the congregation. But it was a sight to behold. We made sure of it.

  • I remember when I danced to this 40 years ago, just a great song.

  • LOL GHOSTBUSTER

  • one of those happy songs

  • nice version. must confess... v. disappointed at the lack of GOOD jackie wilson videos of him performing this song. feel the "elvis-esque" ones available, a bit watered-down for the mostly white US public at the time of filming, a little annoying and lacking real soul. thank you so much for posting this! thumbs up if you want peace!

  • I love this song :D

  • 10 stars.

  • So addictive...

  • This was the first song I ever purchased. I bought the Beatles Revolution 45 the same time. Damn good time for music.

  • What a voice, gone to soon!

  • my word, how high could Jackie go?!

  • this song reminds me of the movie The Kid.

  • This is NOT Jackie Wilson

  • @PutOnASweater

look at the information box "originally by Jackie Wilson"

  • The man could sing!

  • is this the version in the movie?

  • great version! were people saying "sock it to me" in the 50's?

  • @70bluestar Not sure, but this was 1967. "Sock it to me" is also repeated towards the end of Aretha Franklin's "Respect" the same year

  • Very good counterfeit recording- same music track, but someone is imitating Jackie Wilson's vocals.

  • @emmettk actually im pretty sure the music track is different too. doesnt sound authentic... but whatever still good stuff

  • Fab song......when this comes on everyones on the floor.

  • Does that band sound familiar? They were none other than The Motown Funk Brothers. You can clearly hear the opening bass notes of James Jamerson. That was a match made in heaven. Brunswick, which was Jackie's label, asked them to play on some of Jackie's songs. I don't know if Berry Gordy was O.K. with that because Berry didn't like his band moonlighting for anyone else. But being that Berry had had earlier collaborations himself with Jackie by writing songs for him, it might have been O.K.

  • @tommiexander Berry Gordy didn't like them moonlighting, in fact they were once fined for playing at a rival studio on an Edwin Starr session(Agent Double-O Soul)(BTW, the owner of the rival company crashed the Motown Christmas party that year and paid the Funk Brothers back double what they were fined!). After they kept on making more hits for the other studio(Golden World), Berry Gordy bought them out.

  • how high?

  • Loving it....

  • thumbs for the dancing toaster from ghostbusters 2. if u never seen ghostbusters 2 than go and rent because it's one of best EVER

  • me and my misuss' song :)

  • Death To Smoochy! I loved that movie! I'm surprised the reviews were so terrible when it was released! It was amazing and such a great acting part from Robin Williams!

  • makes me wanna dance lol. :D

  • Heard this playing while walking around Downtown Disney, I couldn't help myself. I grabbed the nearest girl and we started dancing. It was fantastic!

  • I've been listening to this record since the 60,s, the intro is still the greatest ever, gives me the shivers every time

  • Makes me wanna turn it all the way up and dance throughout the house! lol

  • I was watching the movie 'The Kid' and this came on towards the end,and I had to relive this song again. Absolutely love it.

  • This is one of the best songs ever written. I love it. It is just timeless. 100 years from now people will still be singing this song.

  • @Mrsjcullen21 I duno! Justin Beiber is pretty popular!

  • yeah its liften meeee!!
