The war is not forgotten in Germany, by any means. You can be arrested for saying Heil Hitler or drawing the swastika. I´m American and German, living in Germany now and there are many cultural differences. Including sensitivity to the Nazi party. Here, Nazis will not be tolerated....well what I still don´t understand is that here there are many Russian nazis, and they routinely fight with the German youth. I´ve also noticed Russians and Turks very much dislike Americans.

The allies used methods from Fairbairn and Sykes. There are manuals out there from the German and Japanese that have methods to counter the "gutter fighting techniques" of the allies. Fairbairn's Get Tough is a great place to start.

@angelajudochop yes, and thats why theyve won every conflict against us right? i like how people label things to make them easier to digest. so, they can feel validated in thier endevours. head butt is a head butt, eye gouge, groin shot, chop in the throat all viable expressions of rage, anger, and fear. im a martial artist myself but, what makes me effective is that i learned how to street fight as a kid and had to grow up dodgeing haymakers as quick as jabs.

@angelajudochop I know the German one, it is called "Abwehr Englischer Gangstermethoden" (engl. Defence against english gangster methods). It is full of political idiotism and the techniques are stupid and noteffective. But there is speculation about, that the British let fake books with wrong techniques behind the enemy lines and the Germans, afraid of the Commandos, took them for sure and designed wrong counters to the wrong attacking-techniques.

As for the fighting techniques, people are trying to stop them from being forgotten because they were devastating and brutal. In other word, they worked. Grow up.
