@gupado My favourite from their more Grindcore-influenced era is Realm of Chaos (especially Into the Eye of Terror and World Eater), and from their more Death Metal era I'd pick their latest, Those Once Loyal (both the album and the song are awesome).
theres this good album that has extreme noise terror and napalm death and bolt thrower and carcass and ghodflesh and unseen terror and intense degree called grind madness at the bbc
@darko84hc Haha, moron. This band was very influenced by grindcore in their beginnings before they evolved into their awesome rolling tank death metal they played after that.
I'm guessing that either you are very ignorant of what grindcore is or you've just heard the wrong stuff.
does anyone know where the live footage of this clip was filmed? i saw them in early 93 at manchester rockworld with support from an emerging band...cradle of filth and i remember a tv crew filming it.
everyone fancied her because she was the only female musician in any band of the time. It was very much over-looked that she was ,in reality..a bit of a yeti lol.
They stated in one interview that they write music that could be played by most musicians with around a year or 2s experience.
Best BT song though, anyone got a vid of them doing their "series" of songs which included this song and was intended to be played back to back at gigs, including this song.
Grindcore? Don't make me laugh. This is death metal, pure oldschool man! If you want grindcore you should listen Anal Cunt and bands like that, but this has nothing to do with grind.
their first album was straight up borderline English grindcore/death metal. "In Battle There Is No Law" VERY different sounding from their "mid" releases on Earache.
This is Bolt Throwers best tune in my opinion. Unfortunately, and don't gun me down for this, they suffer from what is commonly known as one-track-drummer. Seriously, he has one pattern of playing that spoils their work so badly, guitars are dirty, catchy and evil as fuck, bass (still that bird?) suits it all well, and whilst the vocals are pretty straight Death Metal stuff it's effective, but the poxy drummer is so boring it's untrue.
i agree he does seem to have only one pattern i sometimes mistaked a different song for being the same song i just played when it was the beginning of the song since the drummer does the same beat most of the time

@darko84hc Grindcore is not kids stuff. Grindcore deserves the same respect as death metal, specially the Brittish grindcore scene.

There's nothing pretty about Bolt Thrower for the exception of Jo Bench! The songs are compilations of sonic nuisances layered with
relentless apprehension and pain, enough to drive your pastor into suicide! God Bless this

I dunno, I always thought the monotonous drums kind of added to the vibe. Some of his fills are pretty interesting.
