how can i rescale this to fit properly on my screen?it doesnt show the buttons on the bottom (CDI...)!i tried everything,but i wont get it to work?!?!?plz help me
Just in case you haven't found out yet, and for others who want to know, this the G1000 training software made by Garmin themselves. Very very very useful for people that don't fly every day, this way you can review what you need to do with the G1000 for your next flight at home and you don't waste time in the airplane trying to re-learn everything.
Now this was GREAT learning the new technology is a little daunting but as it becomes used more & more it will be the same. but its the cost for most of us
I just don't have the 50,G's + to get it in my 303.
The G1000 "honeymoon" is going to turn into a full fledged marriage. Glass is definitely the way of the future, and every pilot I know loves it. More and more aircraft will transition to glass as time goes on.
Not a pilot here, just a dreamer. But please forgive my lack of knowledge because I'm really just curious. When the G1000 honeymoon is over, don't you really want your gauges back? I mean, can't you still have the convenience of digital GPS/flight data and still have analog gauges? I would think that the flight plan is written down nearby anyway so the glass cockpit is kinda flashy right. Again, I am just curious because I wish to fly someday and kinda like gauges.
@hersheytrojans01 Hmmm, I think the people that make this type of comment are initially overwhelmed by the glass complexities. it can be daunting to those not comfortable with this type of advanced technology in the cockpit. and, while the days of analogue gauges, NDB's, VOR's and paper flight plans are becoming obsolete, one need not equate 'simpler' cockpits with the spirit of flying. step up and embrace the challenge of learning the new technology...
When you are flying a plane such as TBM 850 which can fly up to 1800nm , you would prefer a system to make flying a bit easier for you. G1000 is not designed to be put on something like Cessna 140 or LSA aircraft.

@FSX404 hey do you know where i can download this software?
Gary500 4 months ago
@Gary500
I believe you can buy it from the Garmin website. The books in PDF are free, but the program is $25-30 I think.
Go to their PRODUCTS - "IN THE AIR",
then PRODUCTS (again),
GPS/NAV/COMM
G1000
then you'll have to find it, it used to be under SOFTWARE.

I'm not a pilot but when I do a correct vor/dme approach using charts i print on cessna with gauges its much more fun. Go old style.
BorisKnoT 1 year ago
@BorisKnoT More fun? it all depends on the person. I enjoy flying the glass cockpit much more because of how much if offers.

I was wondering if touchscreen was coming to the cockpit; and my thoughts were confirmed.
Garmin just introduced the G3000 for part 23 turbine aircraft.
Get used to it. It's all going that way.

Why not just use the good old fashion instruments instead of using the complicated G1000?

what a stupid question...

I agree with you. These G1000 are taking away from the spirit of flying

@robloxguggi I agree... I'm a gauge>glass man myself. I do like the G500, it's a great supplementary system, but the G1000 is too much.

A little hard to follow with the G1000 simulator. It would be great if you actually had a G1000 to demonstrate on.
