  • Thumbs up if you were playing this song way before it was on American Idol

  • I won't let my wife listen to this incase she gets any ideas

  • Thumbs up if American Idol sucks.

  • of course one hit wonder cuz sex sell music these days not real talents smh

  • Her and Faith Evans could pass as sisters!

  • What a waste. She could have built a great career.

  • hahahahahahahhaahahhahahaha this is hilarious

  • MAERICAN IDOL CONTESTANTS, NOW THIS HOW IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE DID. HOLLA ;)

  • and then she goes to prison......

  • Isn't it interesting that in black music the focus always seems to be on gross and distasteful displays and mentions of material wealth? The subject matter also always focuses on the most base, trashy shit imagineable and often (as is the case here) advocates highly anti-social and psychotic behavior. Well, I guess what they say is true; you can take it out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of it.

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx get THE FUCK OUT OF HERE

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx Dude, that is ALL music now. All pop music at least. Don't generalise everyone/everything by your limited knowledge of music, try getting a bit of variety. Try Skindred or proper regge for a different view on it. Then listen to some Slipknot and tell me its just music made by black people that describes those themes. Also, don't comment when you're talking out your ass, it bores and annoys everyone.

  • @HotDaymItsPingu No it is not "ALL" music; it is only in music influenced by ghetto black subculture. And what is an "up style" exactly or a "buck wild"?? The transmission of stupidity in these idiot songs is stunning. It's just silly pop culture lunacy crafted to appeal to the lowest possible common uneducated, idiot denominator; the subject material is tasteless, classless, and base. You're a clowning moron.

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx You referred to it in your origional comment as a collective thing, suggesting that you considered all black music to be that way. "Up style" is actually only part of the whole phrase. "Hit em up" means getting back at someone or asking for something, "Hit em up style" is essentially what the song describes. "Buck wild" is slang for sex. Yes, it is silly pop, but some people like the song, so please, if you don't like it, don't whine about it, don't watch.

  • @HotDaymItsPingu Still no explanation for what an "up style" is. I presumed it was some sort of troglodyte speech for some psychotic behavior related to revenge; but that is only contextual and on it's own it makes little or no sense. I'll make any comment I want on the video; too bad for you. The message conveyed is quite clear and is overpowering within black subculture.

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx As I said before, you're only hearing part of the phrase. "Hit em up style" basically meants getting revenge by going out and spending all the others money. Breaking it down, the "Style" part is a describing word (sorry for anyone that I'm boring by talking about it in the grammatical sense XD), while "Hit em up" is the actual action. The message conveyed doesn't have to be restraited to black culture, most people on here understand the message fine.

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx Also, insulting someone is actually quite childish, so feel free to continue, and I'll stay above that level of argument

  • @HotDaymItsPingu Not if the insult is deserving.

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx As I said, I won't respond to insults, because I prefer a debate to be an intellectual process as opposed to a pissing contest

  • @HotDaymItsPingu Very convenient. You're an apologist fucktard.

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx Which bit is apologist?

  • double thumbs up if you still see this as motivation!

  • @achilleskade lol i kinda do

  • @meandbobbie1 its great!

  • @thepreludeparoxysm Oh okay...

  • OMGGGG I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REMEMBER THE NAME OF THIS SONG FOREVER!!

  • she used to be a pornstar before she came out with this song

  • @kendalhart2011 she was never a pornstar. She was just posing nude in magazines. There is a difference!!

  • lol...American Idol.

  • The two groups that crashed and burned on this song should have stayed far away from it.

The harmonies are tight, the rhythm is syncopated, and the lyrics have attitude. WAYYYYYYY too big a song for Idol wannabes.

  • Back when even music used to be good even for a metal dude like me LOL =P

  • @RuledByMetalMusic haha i like that !! Im a metal dude too LOL

  • @Suel14 Cool man hehehehe =)

  • Millennium moment.. Oh, what was the Millennium you ask? It was that thing that those of us folks from the 1900's went through. It was really cool because in the beginning there was good music like this. Then about 12 years went by, and I need not say more.

  • When I used to hear this on the radio when I was a little kid I thought they were saying "Hey ladies, you wanna get butt wild, you wanna get a butt style" hahahaha

  • This so bad.Not a good message

  • don't mess with this bitch :-)

  • Damn this song brings back memories of when i was younger.

  • I used to be obsessed with this song when it came out! Good old high school memories!

  • American Idol made me remember this song. (:

  • I always thought she was faith evans back then.......

  • Yeah, American Idol reminded me of this song, I confess. But this is totally my adolescence. Good times! :P

  • ..Is there another version of this song...that's a bit more base-y..more dance-y..less..40's ish...

Seems i've heard a really good version of this...aside from this..

  • @MercedesGames I think you're talking about Who's Got Your Money by Tina Parol

  • Her voice is beautiful!! She should be still singing on the airwaves!!!

  • Am I the only person who knows this from Singstar?:L

  • Go both ways...lol

  • Its hard to believe this song is 11 years old. She has a great voice that would seem even more relevant to the current music scene.

  • Comment removed

  • Blu Cantrell has one of the best voices I've heard in the last 20 years. She deserves more than she has had when its came to her sales, her one cd had many many songs I love.....

  • Neircus Marman...

  • @JessBob i just noticed that too..

  • she looks just like faith evans

  • omg...Her way of getting her man back for cheating on her is crazy..that will get a woman killed now days

  • @shippo481 - I think she wrote this song about Jay Z (she supposedly was dating him around this time). If you're dating THAT kind of guy, it's a little more understandable (though it could still get you hurt),

  • @Chupacabraiii lol I heard it on there, but I did know that song and I haven't heard it in such a long time lol IT'S AN AMAZING song :P

  • Comment removed

  • She looks like Faith Evans!

  • She looks like Claudia Jordan

  • @Amanotopia w/blonde hair

  • Here I am 2012 watching this video from back in 2001 --->> (((Feel Good Music))) never goes out of style.

  • Too bad she got AIDS :(

  • WE all need to do this if a nigga cheats. lol

  • @VeronicaBoomz26 so that's why i teel guys and all my friends that they shouldn't have relationships with women and just bang you and leave. that way you can't take money from me.

the girl of my dreams has no kids and her own apartment. like me.

  • Hella.

  • This must be Vanessa Bryant anthem!

  • the thumbnail pic of this video looks like faith evans :)

  • @saymazzy faith wishes she ever looked as good as this bitch

  • Am on the weird side of youtube again

  • "I was beamin' in the beamer just beamin'.."

    lol

anyway that's what a guy gets for having a girlfriend. getting all his money and stuff and freedom taken because she got her feeling hurt a little bit.

instead guys should just date and bang these chicks. and then you get to keep all your stuff and have a variety of nice women and it'll cost you less rather than have one chick who barely puts out, treats you bad and spends all your time and money.

  • Isn't that a little too much 2:27?

  • Comment removed

  • isn't that the same house used in Lady Gaga Poker Face???

  • @lucinit1985 yes, good attention in detail.

  • Dude should have listened to Kanye and got prenup!

  • Dang, I wonder if Blu ever dated after bringing this song out. I know if I was a guy I would've stayed right the hell away from her. We ALL know what she's capable of doing now LOL

  • @keytestflattie most girls do this. and they got the courts to back them up. why do you think they say "i dare you to hit me.."

so you can go to jail.

without the law women are shit. that's why i don't hold women in high esteem cause they depend on it as a crutch rather than being a lady and just leaving the guy.

  • @Omniverse77 This is the most backwards thinking I have ever seen in my life. "Most girls do this" are you kidding me? Women account for 51% of this world's entire human population. for you to make such a rude generalization based on what I can only assume is your unfortunate experience with one woman is absolutely absurd.

  • @Msblackcat1993 wrong use of the term "backwards thinking". anyway most (american) women are like this. why do you think women are 80% of divorce initiators? Because alot of those women get married so they can collect after divorce. Why do you think women hate prenups, or won't marry a guy without a job? Isn't it about love? Why do you think most married women would divorce their husbands when and if he gets fired from his job? i've seen it done to loved ones over and over...

  • @Omniverse77 I actually think that the term backwards thinking is a very good phrase in this situation. Being an American woman myself who would never do this, and also seeing many divorces initiated by men as well as women, I think it's fair to call bullshit on all of the smack you're talking about women. well "anyway most (american) women." Maybe you should actually start women instead of basing your conclusions on very outdated and rather ludicrous claims about women

  • @Msblackcat1993 this isn't outdated most women will still do this. and i tell guys, in order to avoid her breaking your stuff and taking your money just don't have relationships with women. just date them and have sex with them. then they could never ever touch your things.

  • @Omniverse77 oh and by the way, if you haven't already noticed, Blu isn't doing all of that in the video just because she's a psychotic b****. Her man cheated on her. He's not innocent of anything. And while I wouldn't condone financially ruining anyone, even if they are too immature to stay faithful in a relationship, all she's saying in this song is "don't let him get away with breaking your heart and being unfaithful." Frankly, dude had some kinda karma coming to him lol :P

  • @Msblackcat1993 no such thing as karma. what she sould've done is left him and not commit a crime. but since she's a women it goes to show how irrational and emotional and illogical the sex can be. which is why i don't hold them in high esteem. and percieve them as only good for one thing since they aren't good for anything else for me. he probably veered from her because she probably had a spoiled and destructive personality to begin with. how's that for karma, for you.

  • @Omniverse77 well there's no use arguing with someone who is adamant about being sexist lol... I hope for your sake that you eventually grow out of this childish and rather limited view of women. I don't condone anyone f***ing up people's lives, and would never do it. You need to get out into the world and actually meet women instead of basing your opinions off of 50 Cent's rap lyrics.

  • @Msblackcat1993 in today's society a childish, irresponsible man is a man that doesn't listen to women.

  • @Omniverse77 If this is how you view women, maybe you don't deserve to ever find a good woman, you'd prolly just take her for granted..

  • @Msblackcat1993 a good woman is a needle in a haystack, especially in the u.s. where it's cool to disrespect men and it's seen as bad to really love him especially if your girls know you love him. what would they think. they'd disown you. odds are against me finding a chick worthwhile. but oh i'll keep searching. it's just in the meanwhile i'm gonna get laid as much as i can while spending the least amount of money on a chick as i can.

  • @Omniverse77 Well, I still don't agree with what you are saying, but at least your acknowledging that good women exist so I suppose we'll just leave it at that haha.

And... just to say, most of the women I know don't care about money. Most American women I know. Including myself. We're everywhere, you just gotta know where to look :)

  • @Omniverse77 I agree with u on some points and definitely disagree on others. It's true that it has become cool to disrespect men and I don't agree with that. I respect a man that won't let me disrespect him. And when I say won't let me disrespect him, I don't mean by popping me up side the head. But if I get out of line he should tell me in a calm but firm way that that is unacceptable, don't be a wimp and let me walk all over you. And I should be able to do the same with him.

  • @Omniverse77 But your way of dealing with the situation, laying down with every ho that will give it up to you, definitely ain't right man. Maybe that's why you ain't findin the right kind of woman.

  • @limonensegal that sounds like the natural way to me. it's how it was at first, and it worked. now coupledom and marriage were more than 50%% end in divorce with women being 80% of the divorce initiators. marriage, in part, was invented by society by women who were attention whores and made it this way. they also created the age of consent to decrease competition.
